Did anyone who got an invite also have the Barclay reward card? Just curious

Yes I've had the Apple Barclay card for awhile and got an invite for the Apple Card last Thursday.

I emailed my Apple guy every day (and he was very good about responding). Thought we had something on Friday, but it ultimately didn't work. I tried the link last evening and was able to apply. Seems the problem was associated with my AppleID. Make sure the AppleID on your phone matches the AppleID you signed up with to be notified of the release. The AppleID my invite was sent to was not even one of my AppleIDs -- it was one of my "reachable at" email addresses. And that wasn't even the email address I signed up with. So go figure how that all happened...

Did you have to make any changes on your end or was it all handled behind the scenes at Apple?

Mine got approved Thursday morning, shipped Saturday, and arrived this morning.

I’m more aggravated with things just not working properly. Broken systems just trigger me idk.

I think one of the bigger reasons for this initial smaller invite is to help figure out what doesn't work. Maybe not best to jump in at this point if systems not running well bothers you. Not that they will have literally everything fixed before the initial launch, but they're undoubtedly addressing some things before then.

Well, we tried to set up an AppleID with the email address they sent the invite to, but that didn’t do any good (still got the unavailable error). But last week (Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) I signed up on the Apple site to be notified of the Apple Card (like I did back in March), but this time with my iCloud AppleID. So I guess that finally went through and that’s how I was able to apply last evening.

I did the same thing. I read it very carefully to see if it was asking for household or personal income, and everything seemed to be personal income. I probably got a lower limit because of it, but since I pay it off every month, I won't be hitting 7.5k anyway.

Yeah that's what I gathered, rather be safe then sorry, agreed.

Thanks! I ended up not needing it. All i had to do is click the plus sign in the wallet app. And got approved! No email. Very quick process. And i have added it to my wallet as default. Now i got to think, where can i go to try it out?

There is always grocery shopping, I just did and the card looks pretty orange now.

I’m from NJ. Tried repeatedly last week from home with no luck. Out of the country this week, tried this morning and was able to apply.

It was household income. There was a little blue link you could click and it specifically mentions spouse income or income you have access to.

I think they updated that, it worded it differently, no mention of spouse income as of this morning 8am est.

I put more than I make but about what me and my wife make jointly. I was approved instantly.

Just checked my wallet app today and applied and got approved. Wasn't there last week for me. Looks like they are opening to more this week.
