It was a PSA post. If you don’t care about me posting a heads up to those who don’t know, move on with your life and don’t be bellicose.
This has been widely reported, including on this site. I assumed you were making a point beyond the news that was already reported yesterday.

What was the reasoning that the first card was sent cancelled?

I wonder though if say you had to replace your phone and you get a replacement phone, wondering if you can still activate the card with your replaced said phone?

‘what happened was that I was invited to get the card very early Thursday morning, about 7:30 local time, and signed on right away. I was watching and posting on this forum and thread, and noticed that other people were getting notices that their cards had been shipped, but I received no notice at all. By Saturday I was concerned that something was wrong and called the support number. They checked and could find no info that my card was shipped, and said that it appeared that there had been a screw-up and no card was sent. They also said the only way to fix it was to cancel the card and reorder. They could put an expedite request on it and I would get it by this Thursday at the latest. Like a fool I said OK and it was done. At about 4:30 Saturday afternoon I got a notice from FedEx that a package from Compton, CA would be delivered Monday morning. I thought, “man that is some expediting!” FedEx said the package would be delivered at 8:30 AM and it was delivered at 8:34, kudos to them, but it was the canceled card. If I had not called, I would have had my card Monday. As it is UPS will deliver it sometime before the end of the day tomorrow. There is a good reason why I prefer to receive packages from FedEx.

I now have a totally worthless piece of titanium.

PS
On Monday I called support to find out why I couldn’t activate my card and after solving that problem I was told that one reason I didn’t receive a notice was that I had “Block Pop-ups” turned on in Safari. You need to go to Settings>Safari>General>Block Pop-Ups to turn it off.

The transaction posted today, paid in full. The card turned white again. So now i have $120 in my apple cash. That was my first transaction

Is that true if you have the card set up for auto payment from a bank account? I wouldn't think you'd have any problems with paying the card balance with autopay.

Lose is fine, that sounds like a short period of time. The T&C does state, that if you dont have an eligible device such iphone or ipad your card/account could be closed. Jailbraking also violates the T&C and will close account. Basically if you do not use an iphone for some time, your card will be canceled.
I guess that is to discourage opening an account and running off to android...

And still no sight of my titanium :(

Finally able to get to the Apple Card option when hitting the + in Wallet. Takes me to the splash screen that the, previously posted, link had been opening up.

Hit “continue” and...same result as before. “Account Services Unavailable”

Support is no help. Grasping at saying it’s because I’m running iOS 13.

I should have added the point (made by another poster up above) that you can still manage the card with an iPad.

There are many people who have iPhones, Macs/books, and no iPads. I think it sucks that Apple limits you to using Apple mobile devices to manage your card. It’s crippling the options people have which is great for keeping you in their ecosystem

They almost certainly will need to add an option on Mac and iCloud.com in the future. Nobody wants to be unable to manage their card just because they lost their phone and don’t have an iPad.

My husband received the invite but when he applied, he keeps getting the “your credit is locked” error message. His credit is unlocked.

Unlocked with all bureaus? People here claimed it was going to be TransUnion but mine actually pulled Equifax instead

How long after applying and getting approved before the card is sent via FedEx or UPS?

I was approved last night but leaving for Norway on vacation next Thursday. Wondering if I have a shot at getting it before I leave.

Once shipped they will send an email with tracking information, right?

The only point of the Apple Card, as far as I can see, is that it's integrated into the Apple ecosystem. Without that, it would be just another credit card with features that aren't very impressive or competitive.
