oh i'm going to be pissed if i get anything over 14%. i have great credit and i see no reason why i shouldn't get an interest rate that is below 14%
It's still a credit card from a bank. Apple provides some backing and support, but at the end of the day it's still a credit card.

The advantage of the Apple Card is 3% on Apple items so that is an extra 1% over the Citi DoubleCash card. I'll use the Apple Card for Apple stuff and get a bit of an extra percent.

I, too, liked the DoubleCash but just switched (May 2019) to the Bank of America rewards card which is 2.625% on everything and up to 5.25% on some things (travel, food etc). For things like estimated tax payments (or anything else) which has a 1.89%-2% convenience fee, that extra .625%+ makes a nice bonus.
Yes, this is really a nice arrangement if you have enough assets at BoA/Merrill Edge to get status. If you don't have one yet, you should also get a BoA Cash Rewards card which now lets you choose a category where you can earn up to 5.25% on a limited amount per quarter. One of the categories is "online shopping", which you can e.g. use to order your new Macbook from Apple ... ;)

Ya i’m pissed!! I really hope they will re-evaluate this. I definitely should not have 17.99 with an 812 credit rating. Freakin BS man.

Can those who got he invite and processed, confirm it was TransUnion the report they pulled?

Why is everyone so excited about a credit card? I don't get it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Prestige! (Prestige Worldwide)

Do you or they also think Starbucks has the best coffee syrup sugar drink that they they call "Coffee" - They don't - it's just Prestige!

Geez! All this excitement about a credit card just because Apple's name is on it. What's next, Apple Oven? Apple Coffee Maker? Apple Vacuum? I just don't get the excitement, maybe I'm in the minority on this one. I'm deep into the Apple Ecosystem but the excitement for a credit card is just...

It's innovative. No credit card number on the card. Someone can steal your card and still have nothing. Thats an improvement. Things are locked up to biometrics. Thats an improvement.

I meant in the wild. I personally haven’t seen any, and I don’t know anybody that has one. Though I suppose that’s anecdotal since apparently everyone here has one already lol.

But anyway, I took a quick glance at those 21 cards and it seems the majority have an annual fee, whereas Apple Card does not. So I’ll amend my statement to “Free metal cards are fairly rare.”

I have one (the Amex platinum) that I use for work expenses and I'd say it gets comments about 85% of the time I use it, so it's rarer to see than people imply. Yesterday a waiter said "wow this is a serious card" because of the weight. It's def a conversation starter. Agreed though, there's a definite fee for most metal cards (in this case, 550 a year) and some are invite only (like that JP Morgan reserve one) which severely limits the uptake, so it may or may not make sense to get one. As a business traveler, mine 100% works for me. The Apple Card is the only fee-free metal card I can think of (even though Amazon Prime subscribers might try to parse that one out).

Pass. There is no compelling reason for me to bite on the :apple:Card, as my Citi DoubleCash card (which is a MasterCard WorldElite card) gives me 2% cash back for *everything*.

Privacy is one reason I guess.

And..... Prestige!
