Got $9,000 limit at 17.99%.
Credit is great, so kinda high interest rate considering, but I don’t keep a balance anyway.
I don’t know what credit agency it pulled from. Process was seamless. It asks for a picture of your ID. Then it asks to set as the default payment option for Apple/iTunes. Finally, it asks if you want a physical card.

Ya i’m pissed!! I really hope they will re-evaluate this. I definitely should not have 17.99 with an 812 credit rating. Freakin BS man.

did you try contacting them through the apple wallet app and speak to someone? they could potentially lower it, especially if you have other credit cards with lower interest rate.

I wonder how frequently they re-evaluate your interest rate.

Some credit cards extend warranties... It would be cool if the Apple credit card included free AppleCare on Apple purchases. apple.com/feedback

I know someone who was at 24.24 and after the 31st it went down to 23.99%.

Bummer. That's going to make it much harder to cut up after you pay it off and close the account.;)
Drill a hole through the chip and de-magnetize the mag-stripe, and then use it as a spatula. ;)

Seriously, Chase sends you a postage free envelope to return metal cards. I imagine Apple/Goldman will do the same.

Yup! We’ll see. I am just shocked they gave me 17.99. Ugghhh!!

It's innovative. No credit card number on the card. Someone can steal your card and still have nothing. Thats an improvement. Things are locked up to biometrics. Thats an improvement.

Yes. Although it hasn't happened recently, we used to have what I believe were losses due to online security issues regularly (at least once a year). I also had a physical card duplicated once several years ago. I am a zealous user and advocate for Apple Pay and I really like the security features of this card.

He was incorrect. Sounds like they will re-evaluate the interest rate in 6 months. Bummer!!

Actually the physical card appears to have a mag stripe, from which you can read card number, expiration date and name using a $10 mag stripe reader ...

I believe you can also freeze your card and change your card number, but that could just be the virtual card number.

I have one (the Amex platinum) that I use for work expenses and I'd say it gets comments about 85% of the time I use it, so it's rarer to see than people imply. Yesterday a waiter said "wow this is a serious card" because of the weight. It's def a conversation starter. Agreed though, there's a definite fee for most metal cards (in this case, 550 a year) and some are invite only (like that JP Morgan reserve one) which severely limits the uptake, so it may or may not make sense to get one. As a business traveler, mine 100% works for me. The Apple Card is the only fee-free metal card I can think of (even though Amazon Prime subscribers might try to parse that one out).
Thanks for sharing! I figured that they were pretty rare or at least “uncommon”.

Considering that there are hundreds of different credit cards out there and only 20 or so are metal, I think it’s safe to say that they’re rare.

Got it, finally. Just so you know, I have just moved to US (not a citizen) and barely have any credit history (one secured card because could not get anything else - ironically, need more cards in the history first but cannot get cards without history lol) but also been paying small student loan for few years without missing a payment which put me around 740 (TU). Feel bad for others with super high scores that I got the same APR, that’s BS. But again, I would never like to pay interest even if I had <10 APR. Pretty high balance will help me to build some history, will really improve my credit utilization rate calculation and I will also have no international fees while traveling to visit my family. Cashback is so small that I will get one free coffee a month lol

Definitely not the best credit card out there, but in my case, it really helps to have it. Also, pretty hyped for titanium card (apple said coming in 8-10 business days), will be one of early adopters and will walk around streets braggin about it. Just kidding of course..
