Anyone get further info on this? My order is still processing as well and it does not show that my phone is covered when I look up the serial number.
I called applecare this morning. She said she didn't know why the order didn't go through and said it wouldn't. She had to cancel it and I had to purchase it again. It shows on the support website checker now when I look at it as registering.

Thanks for the info. Which number did you call? 1-800-my iPhone?

Thanks

Hi. I just got my phone Friday and I ordered through apple and today I called and bought AppleCare+ for $99

I did this cuz I don't think there will be a refresh in a year. I think by waiting 16 months apple will change the refresh cycle. Just my opinion so please don't hate on me.

I just called 1800 my apple and they took off the old apple care an patched me into apple care support and they added it.

They were super nice an understood the problems.

Yeah when i got my iphone last friday on launch day. I had to call sprint to swap a account around. The rep offered me applecare+ he even let me bill it to the account since i was broke lol. I didnt think i could get it after the fact.

Just called and placed my order. It was like pulling teeth. The rep didn't type my serial in right, so it kept having an error. Then he had 17 numbers for my credit card. He insisted it wasn't a valid card. I had to read it to him 3 times before it was correct. Then hes like oh wait I have an extra number sorry.

If you can just skip the automated ordering system. Its horrible. Read my serial to that 7 times before it finally transferred me.

At least its done.

Well, I'm not very impressed with the guy I talked to at their Apple Care 1-800 number.

Called last Tuesday; explained I pre-ordered (3 iPhone 4S) via Sprint.com; it didn't say anything about AC+ only being available at checkout; Sprint's CSRs were idiots/didn't know what to do.

He checked withs someone, asked for my Apple ID and said he'd add AC+ to my ID; I said I'd ordered them on Sprint.com and they're not attached to my AID yet because I hadn't received them; he said it wouldn't be a problem; I explained that once received, they wouldn't all be until my AID; he said not a problem (at this point I realized I was talking to an idiot).

So he said he added it to my AID, asked for a CC number, never told me my total price, was about to hang up when I said, so you did this on all 3 phones, right? He was like uhhh, yeah.

No pending or actual changes on my AMEX, and no receipt, just a survey email.

Going to go to the Apple Store and get them to add it to all 3 lines. Already opened them, but I don't think that'll be a problem.

I called the 1-800-my-apple and asked to speak to applecare about purchasing. Then when I got a live person I told them my story.
Good Luck

Thanks. I spoke with Applecare and long story short, after checking on it for about 20 minutes, she said that it was a know issue and it should be activated in the next couple of days. Something would be shipped as well. She gave me a case number and noted in my record that I ordered Applecare + before I received my phone. I will give it a couple of more days and call back again.

It's so weird how we are getting different answers. My AppleCare + is already showing up on my apple id account for valid apple care with my iPhone's serial numbers.

I called Care yesterday and added it for my wife's and my iPhones. Got the verification email today with both policy numbers. No problems.

AppleCare+ added

I just sent an e-mail to applestoreinfo@apple.com stating that I did not get offered AppleCare+ (I didn't receive an e-mail asking if I would like it added either) and that I would like it added to my order, and in less than 45 minutes it was added. So if you are having issues calling in and getting it added, give the e-mail address a try.

Many thanks. I did the same. AppleCare+ is now part of my order. Perfect.
Hassle free process.

My registration on the AC+ is still pending. Anyone else?

I guess me, I purchased it in the store and still doesn't reflect online that I have applecare. I called applecare and they told me to give it till this friday and if it hasn't updated to call them back. They did mention it may have not updated due to the large amount of people getting applecare and the system needing to update everyone.

Mine just got updated. Printed my proof for my file. Yay!

Well, I never thought I'd say it, but today I am just appalled at Apples level of service! On October 8th when I originally received the email asking would I like to add Applecare to my order I responded within a few hours stating that I would like it added. Well, fast forward to today and I still have not heard anything about applecare so I decided to call in and check. The rep I spoke with of course assured me that I had basically missed the boat on the adding it by replying to the email, so he proceeded to sell me Applecare. Which is what I wanted anyways. He went ahead and gave me my Applecare agreement number and everything seemed set. About an hour later, I received an email from Apple. It was the response(finally) saying that Applecare had been added to my order. Sure enough I logged into my bank account and there were 2 charges from Apple! I spent the next 3 hours back and forth on the phone with various people and got nowhere. I was finally transferred to a "agreement admin" who claims he seen what the issue was, he was going to cancel the online order(email response) and the rep that had sold me the Applecare + on the phone had put it on the wrong serial number. I got off the phone with the admin stating that he would email me within the next 2 hours detailing everything and he claimed he put the Applecare on the right serial number. Well, needless to say its now 6 hours later and I still have heard nothing and no sign of Applecare on my 4S!! Personally, I don't think the "agreement admin" had a clue what was really going on and figured he could find out within 2 hours and get it straight. I knew I should have just went into the store!! Sorry just had to gripe, wife's getting tired of hearing it!

If you have Sprint. Just have Patience. I just today received my Applecare+ welcome email. Apples site now shows I'm covered as well. I also received a notice from sprint that a change on my account has occurred. I would assume this has something to do with the Applecare+ going active

What does the apple site say for your service date? Mine says

10-2013 for phone support

Repairs and Service 10-2012

Covered by Applecare+ for up to 2 years of service and support for iPhone, including up to two incidents of accidental damage from handling, each subject to a service fee.
Shouldn't the Repairs and Service say 2013?

Took all 3 of the iPhone 4S to the AS today. They checked them over, added some notes to the account, but said they couldn't add AC+ in the store (first I've read/heard that!)...so now I have to call AC back and have them add it!

Mine says the same thing. This is odd. I will probably call and see what happens.

My order status finally changed to complete, but coverage is still not showing when I look up my serial number. It just takes forever to get someone on the phone, hopefully it will be input into the system soon!

My dad tried calling tonight and basically was just put on hold the whole time and could never get through. Probably try again tomorrow.

ATT preorder received Saturday morning.

I went to ATT Store to get AC+ and my phone, while activated, was not in their or Apple's records yet, so they couldn't sell it to me. I went back today and they got it registered to my phone without problems. Took less than 2 minutes.

Just checked mine and says the same too. Reading the above, AC+ covers "service and support" for 2 years, but doesn't mention "repair". So would that mean after the first year, any service or repair (not just damage) would counts towards your 2 instances?
