As far as back as I can remember, Tomboys were seen as perfectly normal. "Oh, she's just a Tomboy" would be the phrase used.

Odd how we never had issues with gender fluidity when it came to Tomboys...

I don’t think their is any scientific proof to claim Tomboys wanted to change sex or were gay though.
Anyway I’m off to watch some Apple products news, Mac Rumors has become pretty dry these days on that!

This forum demonstrates it. If I say I disagree with the lifestyle and I would rather not see it, I am branded a bigot, Nazi, hater. You see, the right is not allowed to disagree. The right MUST, MUST, agree with encourage and participate, or else they are bigoted monsters.

You can feel however you want to about anyone in any way that you want to. That opportunity also belongs to people assessing *you*. You don't have to agree with anyone on anything, but you also don't get to dictate how you're perceived. This is a constant whine from conservatives - a lot of them don't really believe in freedom of speech. They believe in freedom from consequence of speech.

You are if you see it.

What negative impact does seeing the banner in the App Store have on your life? I can tell you right now it has a hugely positive one for many other people.
[doublepost=1529932898][/doublepost]

Yep. The same if you refuse service to someone because of their sexuality.

Oh I forgot that little chestnut. Yeah, lgbt people suck except for hot lesbians making out.
What's most comical is the fact homosexuality, at least in this country, is absolutely mainstream. Corporations are falling all over themselves to put as many rainbows on their marketing material as possible. Gay marriage is legal in all 50 states. The Republican National Convention featured a gay speaker and a rainbow flag.

Yet the homosexual lobby acts like it's the 1980's, with tons of fear mongering. Lol.

The war can never end, you see. It must be extended to smart phones apps, message boards, bathrooms and self-mutilation.

No---I think we ask for "live and let live." Not "bake the cake, bigot."

It has. It send wrong message to my children.

What is the wrong message?

That some people are not straight and that its a fact of life?

This idea that seeing gay people is going to turn your children gay or something is insane. It doesn't work like that. I didn't even know the concept of being gay and certainly didn't know anyone gay during my growing up, yet here I am, as a gay man.

That's your problem. I don't want to raise your children.
Young children should have a childhood. Parents shouldn't have to explain sexuality, either way, to a 9 year old. It's inappropriate.

And this is why the left continues to lose elections.

My son works for a big accounting form, his partner for a tech company. They shop, go to ball games, travel, sit around and watch TV.

What lifestyle are you talking about???
That's the marketing brand the gay lobby uses---"lifestyle." Call it whatever you want.

While there have been some great strides in LGBTQ acceptance in the mainstream recently, there is a long way to go.

Don't go telling me "homosexuality is mainstream" till there are no longer people afraid to come out. Till gay couples aren't afraid to hold hands in public, till gay youth aren't bullied, till the rate of mental illness for gay people comes down to the normal rate, till gay people aren't afraid to reveal their sexuality at work.

The fear mongering I see is from the "I don't want to see it"/"I don't want my kids to get the wrong idea"/"Don't shove your lifestyle down my throat" crowd.

If you replaced Gay/LGBTQ with women or any number of non caucasian races, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Yet the insanity is that we are.

I'm not a hypocrite, it's just that you can't read or understand simple concepts. So I'll explain better.
I defend freedom of speech with clear limitations, so I want a relative one, not an absolute one. Which is always the only possibility. You are free to go wherever you want in your country but you must not violate private property. Does this make you not free? No, it makes you free within some limits.
If you tell people to kill all asians, you must be stopped. We can't defend an absolute freedom of speech since it could easily kill other people's freedom of speech. So we need a relative one, with the boundary of non-violence.
If there's no violence when you talk, say whatever you want, say two and two is five but get ready for the rest of the world to tell you how stupid that idea is.

...all of this in a public context. This site is held by people who own it. They are responsible for what you say and can decide that you're expressing an opinion that is too far from what they believe in.
A forum is like a wall in your house you ask random people to write what they think on. They can write but it's still your wall. If they write something you don't like, you can delete it. In this case, you're not free because you're not the owner of the forum but you're free to go away and write your opinion somewhere else. And, guess what, you can kick me out of your own forum if you don't like what I write.
Welcome to how the world works, call me if you need some other lessons.

You still can’t see what you did.... your first sentance is hypocritical.

What's comical is the fact that patriotism is mainstream in the States. Businesses and private residences alike fly the stars and stripes proudly. Children all over the country recite the pledge of allegiance. The anthem plays at a whole host of notable events.

Yet patriots act like it's the 1750s.

Do we need a whole holiday every July? It's shoved down our throats every day of the year already. But the patriots are never happy!

hey look i found a fleck of logic under the couch cushion

Many young children's childhood includes being gay and having gay parents. Beyond that, I don't care what your version of some else's childhood should be. Your only concern, and reach, should extend no further than your own kid.

Personally, the kind of ideology you believe in is not something I'd want my children around. What can we do to protect society's kids from that? Can you guys just be quiet already about how you feel? Do you need to be so out and loud about it? Why can't you just live your lives without forcing your beliefs about sexuality down everyone's throats?

Is any of this stuff even having an effect on our society? I mean, I see bigotry running rampant every day. The president is bigoted, the people who voted him in are bigoted... we are no better off than we were thirty years ago.

The parades, the forced diversity by Hollywood and the gaming industry, the SJW online... it all just feels empty and pointless. Human beings are always going to be flawed.

30 years ago there was no same-sex marriage, or even civil partnerships, or even legal protections for LGBTs - anywhere in the world. It was illegal to be gay in at least a third more countries than it is today.

It is way better now - even with a temporary aberration of Trump.

If pride parades feel pointless to you - don't go. Simple.

I only see lifestyle being used as a descriptor by people who don't understand sexuality.

It shouldn't need to be explained, it is a part of life that is every bit as normal for straight people.

What is inappropriate is brining up kids so that they are homophobic or worse kids who are gay and then have a 5 year struggle with themselves just to accept themselves (like me).

Better keep Mommy and Daddy in separate rooms then?

Mum and Dad need to act like two friends who just happen to be bringing children up, after all, we can't have kids finding out about sexuality.

Nope, but it seems she committed theft of US state owned property, so I doubt she is a trustworthy character.

You don't see the point the other poster was trying to make? I find it ironic that if you are a US citizen and expose illegal behavior by your government you then become the "criminal". Funny how that works. Sounds like what a lot of other countries do to their citizens some with and some without the obligatory "trial". Unfortunately many disappear to be never seen or heard from again. Or you have countries like Russia whose journalists and "opposition" mysteriously commits suicide or are the victim of some unfortunate mishap. Or worse, exposed to nerve agents or radiation.

So are you claiming that theft of US state owned property is perfectly fine to do if your gay or transgender or gender neutral? That somehow that makes you above the law?
Theft is theft no matter what it is of. Their are plenty of other ways to expose truths without breaking the law.

And you should get off your moral high horse. Because if you buy Apple then you support a country who throws people in jail for torture because they spoke out against their government. A country where what you can see on the internet is still heavily censored and where you can go is also controlled.

I keep wondering what Apple is actually doing these days.

Seems like a liberal’s dream. Little work, lots of pride, and a bunch of pissed off customers in its wake.

Which has created the most valuable company in the world. Where hundreds of millions of repeat customers willingly open their wallets to purchase Apple products at premium prices. Year after year after year.

Sounds good to me!

It is interesting that ‘pride’ is promoted. In that way it is completely against the principles of our civilization which are Christian. In Christianity humility is a virtue and pride the enemy of that. Of course plenty of people don’t like Christianity. But I don’t think they fully appreciate the difference between pagan civilization and Christian.

The worst treatment of people have been under the guise of us being a "Christian society". We are not a Christian society, nor should we be.

Wrong on so many counts.

Our civilization? Astonishing...
