If Apple had released the iPhone as a flip phone similar to what everyone else was offering but expressed disagreement with it, would you have applauded that? I doubt it. Tim Cook disagreeing with Trump's policies means nothing if he's not willing to take a stand on it.
But instead, Tim Cook is making himself out to be just another tech CEO, serving shareholders first and customers second. Politics aside, the Mac mini neglect and MacBook Pro price raise are good examples of this behavior.

This is the sort of thing that just makes me profoundly depressed about the future of this country. As I’ve noted elsewhere, Trump is not the disease, he’s just a symptom. The disease is the people who looked at Trump and thought he was capable of being president.

I assume the future will be much brighter if we recognize bathroom privileges for anyone, irrespective of their genitals. Or, maybe it will be brighter if white people would just own up to their privilege, admit they are racists inside and self-censor or submit to thought retraining/therapy. Or perhaps it will be better if we just erase our borders and let everyone into the country? I know---we should just assume Islam means peace and avert our eyes from the uncomfortable fact not all muslims commit terrorist acts, but almost all terrorist activity is carried out by muslims. Finally, the future would be much better if Americans would just disarm themselves and realize there is no good reason to have firearms to defend themselves and their families. Now THAT is a future we could all rally around.
