I... Also don't want one. Not yet. But I will take a look at the two sizes in the shops and decide which size I want for my next phone, the 6S. It will probably replace my iPad, too.

Why am I not upgrading now? Well, honestly, I don't need it.

Translation: "I don't qualify nor can I afford an upgrade right now so let me mock the new iPhone to make myself feel better about it."

I'm with the other guy, its a horrible looking phone. I could afford all of Apples new products if I wanted them but I'll stick with my 5s. I'm traditionally a "tock" upgrader anyway but my 5s may have to last me another 2 years sadly.

I'm an Android fanboy myself and even I'm impressed with the fact that the new iPhones have 128gb of inbuilt storage.

On another note, I'm sick and tired of all the crap comments both from Apple fanboys mocking Android fanboys AND Android fanboys mocking Apple fanboys! Why can't we all accept that both iOS and Android have their pluses and minuses when it comes to things like UI and Apps, etc.

I own a iPad 4th gen with 128gb of storage plus a Galaxy S2 and S4. The only thing that would make me get a iPhone 6 Plus 128gb is if Samsung removed the Micro SD card slot as that to me is the main reason why I love the phone (that plus the fact that I can carry with me a spare battery in case of emergency as myself being a epileptic, it's always better to be safe than sorry)

Samsung will need to come up with some new commercials...not looking forward to that.

Tim is correct.

Steve picked him for a reason......because he is a winner.
Simple.

Unfortunately Steve Jobs was a loser, too, for a big part of his career.
His luck was to get back at Apple at a time when the Chinese industry became able to build very small parts with very good performance.

I'll be upgrading from 5S to 6 Plus.

The protuding camera lens is not a problem with the cover Spigen just dispatched me. :D

For the transition period I've bought a Galaxy SIII Mini. What a piece of garbage Android is. You know you've lost the battle when you have to get help from Google to work this ****.

Best vanilla Android phone at the moment? I had the S4 for a while last year and it was unstable (compared to iOS) and everyone keeps telling me the vanilla experience is the one I seek.

Also looking at Windows phone. I'm very impressed with the Surface Pro 3, even considering chopping in the MBP for one.

Anyone else made the same move and found it a good one?

I have an old Nexus 4, and my wife has a Nexus 5. Both are rock stable - mine crashed exactly once, when it completely ran out of storage. Obviously the 5 is way faster and has a significantly better screen.

The Galaxy Note 4 Edge seems beautiful and quite intriguing, although I am also very much in favour of the vanilla Android experience. I'd accept small vendor enhancements, like the ones in the Moto X, but that's about it.

The iPhone 6 is completely underwhelming, and the prices are absurd. $749 for a 4.7" phone with 32Gb, with iOS on it as well? No way.

Android is trash no need!

Iphone 6 too Big.

I change my 16gb 5s against 64gb 5s,

make jailbreak and i am happy #

Did they drop 16GB

iPhone 6 still has a puny 16GB of memory! Someone tell Cook that few consider another 16GB phone an upgrade.

I'm firmly in the 'meh' camp and beginning to think about jumping ship, making my 'essential' list this morning in fact. The phone is nice and all but I'm not liking the direction and general lack of quality that seems to be creeping into all of their product lines. The shambolic web stream yesterday is just an illustration of this.

Anyway :)

I went from the iPhone 5 to Nexus 5 and I was surprised by how fluid and fast the device is. I have also no major stability issues, so to me it looks like the laggy and crash-prone experience in a modern Android phone is mostly due to the manufacturer (*cough*Samsung*cough*) customizations. Vanilla Android seems to be just fine.

I also have a Lumia 925 issued by my employer, and while I'd want to like it, the app gap still exists (but at least the situation is slowly improving) and support from services and peripherals is almost non-existent, so for a decent mobile experience iOS or Android is still pretty much a requirement.

I dont see the point in iPhone Plus like in Galaxy Note. Note has special software that takes advantage of the bigger screen (split screen, s-pen stylus funcionality that makes using that phone even better, special added software features, etc..) so it really makes a great user experience.
And what has Apple done? Nothing really, they just made a larger iPhone, kept the same iOS features as in the smaller one and the only difference is in landscape mode. Yet not stylus or split screen or any extra features that would make that phone stand out. Bascially what they made is a new even smaller form of iPad. You honestly cant expect people to run from galaxy note to the new iPhone plus. Its like changing your BMW X5 for some Chevy SUV. They are the same, but X5 still has a lot more features ;)

I'd imagine after yesterday's keynote they'd be feeling pretty relieved to be honest. Not that they wouldn't already know exactly what Apple was launching anyway...

Yup nothing to copy. I found this out there it stung ouch:

Why, because it's "one less"! It dosent go to 11!! Boooo

I have 2 safari tabs constantly refreshing, with no other apps running on my Air. Now you have the phone pushing more pixels with the same ram. That is now less effective RAM than the 5S.

Only in appleland is one supposed to accept less, and be happy about it.

You've gotta really wonder how old the people who make graphics like this are. Just screams insecure kids.

You sound pretty insecure yourself. Had the comparison gone the other way, it would had been wonderful, hilarious, very true and full of insight.

Lol. You are basing Android experience on a phone that is over 2 years old. Ok.

Not really, it's just a factual comparison.

There's so much childish bickering and aggression between fans of brands but somewhere, in the real world, the majority of people are like me:

I like Apple products, I've had the 3G, 4, 5 and iPad 2. I've not owned an Android device, I've used a couple briefly and not felt much either way, they seemed ok but I'd need more time to adjust 100% before having a solid opinion.

This latest keynote and launch left me a bit cold. No excitement, nothing great, seems a lot of effort gone on the watch and the phones almost left to the B-team (even though the watch looks pretty amateurish too and doesn't know if it wants to be a fashion piece, a cool gadget or a sports accessory and unconvincingly falls somewhere between the three).

Now I'm due an upgrade I'm totally on the fence, I may make the jump to Android but I'm not sure. I'm a little tied to Apple but then the tie with iTunes is one I'd gladly sever for some easy "drag and drop" file functionality.

Not everyone is a Fanboy, a Sheep, a hater or worshipper - some of us are just normal people who like our tech gadgets but also have free will and want the best for our money. Weird eh.

Until the card gets corrupted and you lose everything on it.

That's why you should always make a backup! ^_^

Also, if I was the CEO of Apple, I would definitely have a Micro SD slot and removable batteries included as standard in iPhones and a Micro SD slot in iPads AND bring out a iPod Touch with 256gb of storage for the top of the range version.
