time will tell, he's been in office a week, got to give time for the "checks and balances" to do their thing

thats fine if your don't inflict on the rights of offers

are you willing to accept the consequences if you do?
Deny me coffee and we will see.

It's not about liberals. There are lots of intelligent and successful Republican citizens who vehemently oppose this guy. That ought to speak volumes.

And as for your argument about liberals not listening, I'll remind you that in 2009, Obama tried to work with Republicans. They—the ones in Washington—built a platform on obstructionism. I didn't love the guy, but where we ended up isn't his fault.
Well, since you're talking about the Republicans during Obama's terms: how did that happen in the first place? I mean, if democrats are so great and all, why did the Republicans take over the Senate and the House? That's something I'd like to know. The reason would likely be the same as why people chose Trump over Clinton (not by popular vote though, but still).

By the way, there's also democrats who support some of Trump's ideas (Sanders for example, supported his decision to opt out of TPP), so there's that. ;)

I'm somewhat surprised by the negative attacks on the first page. Telling Tim he should stick to running the company. Well with that line of thinking, we wouldn't have the current president you're defending. Also, as Tim stated, this directly affects the employees he is in charge of.

It was an email sent to employees who look to him for guidance and leadership. This action directly affects the company. Get it now?

Presuming you are correct...what kind of ass backwards world do we live in when employees of a multi-billion dollar company look to the company CEO for guidance and leadership about something that has nothing to do with their jobs?! That's just bizarre.

fortunately the USA isn't a dictatorship like Nazi Germany was. This shouldn't happen. Checks and balances won't allow it. You gotta have some faith in the system.

Nazi Germany wasn't a dictatorship when Hitler GOT ELECTED either. But he managed to disable democracy by talk like trump is spilling all the time: "Lying press, corrupt elites, criminal jews (muslims in this case)"
I lost my faith in the US when Trump got elected in the first place. I really, truly hope that the checks and balances can withstand his attacks, but I'm not too positive about it.

“Lenin,” he answered, “wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.”
And that's what's gonna happen.

how has it nothing to do with their jobs? Maybe some of them are abroad on occasion, like with the hundreds of google folks that can't return to the US right now?? The current situation is just INSANE.

The GOP tried to avoid making Trump their candidate. Somehow insulting the other candidates rather than engaging in the debates became a winning tactic for Trump. Clinton was not able to pull it off. I'm surprised her advisors didn't explain that to her prior to several statements.

Opposition to the TPP predates Trump's nonsense. He just latched onto it, because it can be combined with protectionist rhetoric. Other than that, I don't think Sanders and Trump have much in the way of common views. Sanders has pointed out Trump's hypocrisy on the issue of outsourcing and immigrant labor forces.

Apple and these other tech companies abusing the H1-B Visa program to keep American wages down and devalue college education in this country might be wise to keep their mouths shut on immigration. Do they really want Trump to start scrutinizing their hiring practices with these sort of statements intended to hurt Trump politically? As a shareholder, I'd rather see Apple making statements in favor of Trump's proposals to lower corporate tax rates and bring more jobs into the country for American citizens. Maybe under Trump and a GOP Congress they'll be able to repatriate all that overseas cash and invest more in America. These silly fights over a national security issue that can't possibly effect Apple and is just plain common sense to do just make Apple and Tim Cook look idiotic and out of touch. Apple could be talking about building new factories and labs in the US. Instead, they talk about how they oppose basic border security while hiding behind their own fences and private security forces.

Presidents lose in midterms. Almost without fail. That's why. Also, I never claimed "democrats are so great and all." Just that Congressional Republicans were not the least bit cooperative.

For every one idea that any Democratic legislator supports, there will be at least 10 opposed. That's not hyperbole.

This was not a communication that needed to go out to tens of thousands of Apple employees. Realistically, this issue likely affects less than 5% of Apple's employees. Tim used this as yet another opportunity to let his employees and the world know (as if they and we didn't already) what his personal political leanings are.

I don't care that Tim has a liberal mindset. I don't care what Tim does in his bedroom. All I want Tim to do is everything in his power to help make Apple great again. His little forays into the political and social justice spotlight do little, if anything, to help Apple get back to their "A" game again.

A Federal judge in NY just granted a stay temporarily blocking trump's executive order immigration ban. Tip-o-my-hat to the ACLU for filing the action.

Donald Trump is making America safe again and this is how Tim Cook repays him?

He did it to show compassion if you will for his employees who may be affected by this. Doesn't mean there here in the states, they could be anywhere.

Trumps goal is obvious.

Me personally I'm sick and tired of hearing the Muslims are to blame for what ever. Total Senseless BS
