i cannot be the only one who sees the irony in a gay man encouraging immigration from sharia countries.

forget terrorism, majorities in these countries believe homosexuality should be illegal, if not a capital offence.

so its ok for tim to want people who support sharia in the country, but I'm not sure how much he'd get along with them in his suburb, street or home. hypocrisy is the very air we breathe these days

when tim cook says
'Apple is open. Open to everyone, no matter where they come from, which language they speak, who they love or how they worship. Our employees represent the finest talent in the world, and our team hails from every corner of the globe.'
he should realise that everyone in a religious sense isn't the same as everyone in a sexuality sense. it isnt a mutually exclusive infusion of benign agendas.

it should be patently clear how easy it is to think of one example of a belief that apple shouldn't be open to. tim's virtue signalling, ignorant attempt to arouse warm fuzzy feelings in its employees is yet another disconcerting embrace of fantasy by prominent 'liberals'

P.S. tim, apple might be open to everyone, but america isn't. nor should it be

Oh yeah sorry he didn't get the overpopulation votes in the cities...how dare our constitution prevent that!!! Proof in the pudding he is our president now...yu don't like it?, leave. Yu better learn to start saying Merry Christmas, God Bless You, and not worry your daugher will be in a target bathroom with some dude who calls himself a girl because he identifies that way...thank the Lord for this man

You should look for a better job because being a professional victim is kinda pathetic.

So, did he support the summary execution of foreign nationals via drone? How about US citizens?

Why does Cook have to say anything at all? Is he going to make a statement about every Executive Order now?

I don't think any Apple employees were executed by drones. If they were, I would expect him to make a statement about them, yes.

I have Tim Cook's back here.

People who support this ban clearly are not thinking about facts but emotion.

Check again? It is still NOT safe to be a gay man or lesbian in all parts of this country; the leader of the free world.

How can he lead a great company if Trump won't let his employees back in to the country?

hire replacements from the USA... over 300+ million citizens, you can't find a replacement from that? is thinking outside the box that hard? geesh.

This ban is the most idiotic thing ever. US citizens have been victims of acts of terrorists from citizens of these countries:

UAE
Saudi Arabia
Egypt
Lebanon

And yet these countries are not on the ban list. Does that make sense to you?

I didn't say that the ban makes sense, but you have Agent Orange in the White House. Nothing he says or does makes much sense. I merely explained why certain countries are unlikely to be on that list. If they're considered US allies, they get a pass.

So you think Apple should hire not the best candidate for a position but instead restrict themselves to certain locations? I'd rather Apple hire the best people so they can make the best products.

I think we rank what 17, 18 in the world for education. Enough said.

We are more interested in which celebrity is doing which celebrity to focus on learning the sciences. Heck we have a President that thinks global warming is a Chinese hoax and a VP that said, and I quote, "smoking doesn't kill."

good point, but show me a "banned" country higher than the USA on education rankings?

https://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2010/dec/07/world-education-rankings-maths-science-reading

and this poll lists US as third, so what the **** gives?

Here's what's so pathetically funny: People getting up in arms when the POTUS used Executive Orders that they don't agree with because of policy or their lack of affinity for said POTUS.

In contrast, when they agree with the policy or have an affinity for the POTUS, they're ok with it. Where were these people when Bush AND Obama were exercising "Executive Overreach"? Sorry liberals, you built this. Suck it.
Thank you!

This Ban isn't the right solution-but both sides have been pushing the envelope with the executive orders and it is a serious problem when one person-that is honestly no better than you-not appointed by god or the stars to be a lord or master-can drastically effect and affect our lives. Wake up to the awful situation it is. Embrace liberty-don't force anyone to live by legislation. It's your life and your dreams and you should be able to pursue them.

I can understand taking the time to evaluate the process. The Paris attacks last year were committed by individuals posing as refugees, so there is a precedent to at least evaluate and ensure that there aren't open opportunities. Yes there are stringent protocols in place-but it should always be evaluated to make sure it's working, like every other department or system. Making sure they are up to date, current, and working effectively and efficiently.

As far as we know there are no Apple employees worldwide who have been affected by drone warfare, because Tim Cook never said anything about it. Is that basically what you're saying? I never realized that old Tim knew that much about his employees.

are you a part of apple or a consumer of their products?

A consumer of their products. I don't work for Apple, own any Apple stock nor am I affiliated with the company in any way, if that's what you are asking.

But I like my Apple products not just because they look great and work great, but also because of their attitude and because of what Apple has come to stand for and believe in.

So I wouldn't want Apple to become more insular and focus solely on making great products without caring a rat's ass about what is happening in the world around them. So it saddens me that some people apparently care more about say, having 32 gb of ram in their next MacBook, so much so that they expect Apple to shut up and do nothing if it meant their goal could be achieved that bit more quickly.

Just sad.

proof his mom didn't get preggos while in Syria? you do realize she was raised in Wisconsin
In other words, "Show us the birth certificate!", right? Yes, some crazy conspiracy theory where she traveled to Syria for a summer and got pregnant from another man instead of the Syrian immigrant she met in Wisconsin is probably more correct than the obvious facts on record. More "alternative facts". You people are unbelievable.

Mcdonalds hasn't complained about Trump yet as far as I know and more folks eat big macs and chicken nuggets every week than those that own apple products.... we will be alright.
