Ask the Native Americans how they felt about uncontrolled immigration...

History is repeating itself and the Left wants it to happen to an established nation.

So transparent and pathetic.

No. I don't want uncontrolled immigration. I just don't want my fellow citizens being pricks to people who are here through no fault of their own and who we have paid a lot of taxpayer money educating, some of which have even been valedictorians of their class. Why throw all that away? Why flush all that money we have spent on them down the toilet? Makes no sense.

Your argument is... against yourself. Now there is some sort of heritage here - which is undeniable - so in order to prevent what happened back then (thus being massacred/enslaved/etc.) the only way is to resist. You're basically calling to a complete shutdown of the borders!

Uh, no.

Uhm yeah :) Still love ya :)

"American" typically means a citizen of the United States of America. Just like Mexican means a citizen of Mexico and Italian means a citizen of Italy. I'm sure you knew this but wanted to show off your ability to parse statements to fit your own goals.

BWW, what would you call a citizen of the USA? A Unitidian? A Statian? American is the accepted terminology.

US citizens have become so accustomed to identifying as Americans. And being ignorant to the fact that everyone who lives on this continent are Americans. It’s like people who use certain words out of context so much they believe it is the correct way to use them.

This is the United States OF America is actually 50 States (countries if you will) united under a single banner. So technically I’m suppose to refer to myself as a New Yorker of the USA. Of course no one says that. We just shorten the country’s banner down to:America.

I was just playing devil’s advocate.

Cheers.

If not "Americans" what shall we call ourselves? Staters? Statesians? United Statesians?

I explained this in another post.

You'lll have to explain youself further if you want me to understand your point because your post makes no sense. Which is uncharacteristic for you.

Based on this thread and the events since November, Ugly Americans should suffice. I think everyone will understand.

Technically you are correct, but how can you hold a two-year old responsible for a crime their parents committed?
Provided they have grown up to become decent, moral citizens who contribute to our society, I'm all for letting them stay.

What should be addressed however is to not let such an 'amnesty' become precedent setting for future law breakers.

That's why I want this dealt with and squared away. It shouldn't be that hard, but Congress- particularly Republicans- are so fearful of political blow back, usually in the form of demagogue by the Left, that nothing has gotten done about it.

I agree; for all intents and purposes, DACA recipients are Americans. Where would they even go back to? Sending them back to their 'home' country, wherever that might be, would be almost if not completely foreign to them at this point. But all this needs to be stopped, or else it will continue as it has been. The US cannot continue with the Left's "laissez faire" attitude toward immigration.

Maybe Cook should renounce his US citizenship if he is so offended by our constitutional rule of law. I know the public education system is failing us. Sad that masses of Americans are too ignorant and divorced from the fact that we are a country of laws. Opinions and "feelings" are NOT laws. Anybody is free to pour all the rersouces they want to in support of what they feel is right. Demanding that the US gvt. BORROW tens of billions over and over again to support and underright the many costs associated with mass, illegal immigration and its generational consequences is WRONG. People really believe that money appears out of thin air. There is a piper and he will be paid. As an American haul off and try to "occupy Mexico" or some other country and see what happens? This is total BUNK.

look at Tim Crook:

1. stash $260 Billion in cash oversees so you he doesn't pay taxes to the US government
2. asks the US government for billions in tax breaks
3. asks people for money to support the hate group SPLC
3. Hires millions of people in China and India for a few dollars a week in workplaces and residential buildings with suicide nets
4. Constantly criticize the government for protecting American lives and jobs
5. Invests in the left party in order to try to control the government for his New World Order globalist agenda

are you surprised Tim is pushing for Illegal Immigration that will destroy America ?

Unless you are descended from a Native American tribe, you really aren't either. And I'd prefer any of these dreamers to any of the native-born dregs we have here who seem to be more into opioids, white supremacy, and militias than contributing to this nation.
This is idiotic. Most indigenous people in most countries had their land taken by other people. Maps like this are a good resource to visualize the impact conquerers have had on the conquered: http://www.landmarkmap.org/map/#x=7...oc,indigenous_FormalClaim,indigenous_Occupied
Yet Europeans still call themselves European, Canadians Canadian, etc. etc. I would argue that anyone born in a country is a citizen of that country, which most countries recognize to be true - not if your a dependent of original inhabitants. Even many Native American tribes in what is now the US came from elsewhere, like South and Central America.

If Timmy-Tim-timbo loves to tell Americans how to live, and frame their laws, I feel my need and right to tell him how to live and frame his ugly existence...

TIM, GET BACK TO ****ING WORK ON THE MAC MINI!

I adopted a child from another country. I went through all the steps and all the waiting and all the paperwork with all the associated costs to do it legally. I went through a re-adoption in CA so my child could get a CA birth certificate.

Couldn't Apple employees' parents go through this for their kids? And if not, go thru the immigration process themselves?

Putting aside politics and and anger, can anyone answer this question logically?

I'm at work and can't watch videos so how about you explain in your own words instead of linking to YouTube? Should be easy enough given your initial conviction in condemning me.

If you are unwilling to discuss issues and see others view points as valid than you are creating the conditions in which Trump will win. It is actually very simple if you think about it. If your main argument is to call someone racist, sexist, xenophobic, how exactly do you think they will vote?

Discussion and debate is how you get someone on your side.

I'll be blunt, if you were here illegally, you should have been deported, but again it sounds like you took the steps necessary to become legal and that is where I take issue with this program is many of these people aren't even attempting to become legal.
And Apple hired them after being here illegally. Does Apple also hire felons who broke the law and haven't been caught? And if not, isn't that discrimination?

We must be a weak system if letting 800k people get a pathway to citizenship would destroy the entire country.

I'm a conservative and I'm triggered because Businessmen aren't supposed to involve themselves in politics!

What's next? Is Tim going to tweet angrily about the President every other day and then claim he was born in another country and demand to see his birth certificate?

Can you imagine if a businessman did that? Surely me and my fellow triggered conservatives would be up in arms...

So I assume you're boycotting Apple and its products until Cook resigns or is fired?

Well, they would go back to their nation by citizenship. At any rate, as you I would not advise sending them back. I think they should be legalized somehow.

Actually they are. America is the entire Northern Central and Southern continent.
The dictionary defines "American" as "relating to or characteristic of the United States or its inhabitants". I haven't heard many people in Mexico, Costa Rica, etc. refer to themselves as "American".

So you're frustrated that the immigration process is too difficult? Ok, let's make it easier. I'd be open to that, what I'm not open to is breaking laws.

I find it funny that you think anyone believes it’s just about not breaking the law. Conservatives believe breaking the law is just fine as long as you’re a corporation, a police officer, or a rich man. What this is REALLY about is kicking out those pesky dark skinned people, stop being politically correct and be honest here, you and you’re ilk aren’t fooling anybody.

We have a pathway to citizenship - an immigration process for being in this country legally. My ancestors followed it, I followed it when I adopted a child from another country.

Why people choose to blatantly break the law and why Liberal Democrats are fighting for them I don't know.

We are NOT closing the borders. We HAVE a process. Why don't Democrats understand this?

Are we really going to the native Americans? I guess that nobody is a citizen of anywhere since somebody at some time was displaced by somebody else.

And besides, I'm talking about US citizenship today, which has zero to do with Native Americans and things that happened in the 1800's.

I know you know this.

Also, you can just go ahead and say "white trash." I think that is what you meant to say. No need to be shy---the condescension and sneering was dripping from your comment.

At the end of the day, what I think he's driving at is the sense of arrogance or that people feel as if they're the chosen one - only because they won the life lottery and were born in the U.S.

That's what rubs me the wrong way, when people are boastful of being American, when they did nothing to earn that. They sit on their asses, drinking their budweisder (or Chianti, if that's your preference) being all 'pround', when some immigrants, illegal or not, work their asses off to make a life here and contribute to this country.

I love this country, so if you ask me, I'll tell you I'm 'LUCKY' to be an American. Proud? No. Since I did nothing to earn my citizenship. It just fell in my lap.

Now excuse me while I grab a Budweiser and sit on my own ass and watch some more of the U.S. Open.
