Interesting, but no.
Homosexuality is found in other species. Do you think they are choosing to be gay?
You must think squirrels are brilliant.
Gay people (not people who choose to be sexually experimental or what have you) are just wired that way.
The Bible does not specifically (as you say it is the source of your morality) forbid homosexuals from being gay. Or having relationships. Or sex.
It does forbid heterosexuals from having sex with same sex partners. So, no experimentation for you.
The debate is not against animals. It is about human, moral
choice. Galatians Chapter 5 is the best explanation for my argument, as it outlines the acts of the sinful
nature (man's natural state) and how it is in conflict with the fruit of the Spirit of God, which comes from accepting Christ as your Lord.
With regards to "experimentation", the Bible has this to say, both old and new testaments (again, don't shoot the messenger):
Leviticus 20:13: "'If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
1 Corinthians 6:9: "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
So yes, it does say it. Specifically.
However, to that it adds the escape clause, as it were:
1 Timothy 1:9 onwards: "We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral,
for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and
for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me. I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service.
Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus."
