Who cares what supporters felt? I'm sure I could find some pithy little articles about McCain and Romney supporters crying in their beer on election night.

That doesn't mean anyone crushed anything.

It's about the vote count, end of story. Trump barely edged out Clinton in key swing states. The electoral college vote count was much closer than Obama v. McCain or Obama v. Romney.

California, the state with the largest population and strongest economy, as usual, was held hostage to the stupid masses in the middle and south of the country, all those red states that take more than they contribute while relying on liberal California dollars to prop them up. Oh the hypocrisy.
Ca can't msg matin the roads or fix their infrastructure w/o the Feds or raising taxes. Moon bean is an idiot

Hmmm..So according to the Paris agreement, China and India get to build and run low cost coal power plants but the U.S does not....Sounds like Trump did the right thing...Besides we have clean coal technology that produces almost zero emissions....Funny, not talk of the dangers of nuclear power from Cook which is a very real environmental threat..Just look at Chernobyl.if Tim Cook was really concerned about the environment that's what his focus would be on....

Those countries are further behind, and expecting them to make the switch as quickly isn't realistic. Not to mention, it would severely handicap their growth which would hurt world economies, including ours. It would also be extremely hypocritical of industrialized nations to demand any developing country to suddenly stop burning dirty coal for obvious reasons... except to Trump, apparently.

Clean coal isn't the issue which is why some coal companies urged Trump to sign the accord.

What's the point of talking about nuclear? Tim is right to focus on renewable energy which is the future.

This is the saddest day in American politics since the assassination of MLK. If you don't think that, I doubt your sanity.
Climate has become the new religion.
There are many "facts" which point to both sides of the argument.
People tend to believe (quite ferociously, like you) one side of the story and loathe the other.

It won't take long before people die of this argument.

So is it about saving the planet or making money. You just said that renewables "will" happen. So the planet is saved. Great.

The planet doesn't need saving. Even if we set off every nuke on Earth, in a few hundred thousand years, it would be like nothing ever happened. That's a blink of an eye in the planet's life.

It's about saving us, humanity, about having a clean environment, clean drinking water, reliable food sources, etc. It's about handing the next generation something better than we were handed. It's about setting them up for success. It's about looking forward, not being stuck in the past. Renewables are the energy source of the future. Maybe it takes another 30 years, but don't we want the US to be a leader? Or do we want China and other countries to control that technology?

Tim prioritized thinness over function and usability. His opinions are as useful as a cat flap on an elephant house.

Let them control it. The US always leads and we get **** for the effort.

It's annoying, but we Californians had it coming. When you become so arrogant that you think the rest of the country doesn't matter, and then you start forcing federal social laws that only Californians support (Obama), they'll get upset. I don't like Trump, but at least he's returning some power to the states in those areas.

Also, calling the other states idiotic isn't going to educate anyone. There are people turning away from education because they see it as mind control. In some cases, it is, like in some college humanities classes. Look, now people think climate change (and the idea that we cause it) is a hoax because jerks preach it like Jehovah's Witnesses, and/or they try to profit from the scare.

It won't happen. Tim cares about money. He'd eat 1000 homeless orphans if it would increase Apples stock price 1/4 of a percent.

I don't care if he won by 1 ****ing vote. Trump is in the Oval Office. That's all that matters.

You could argue that the Paris A cord is Hillarys fault. If she had campaigned harder and hadn't been a lying cheating piece of **** she may have won and kept America in the accord.

Thanks Hillary. We owe you one.

I'm just pointing out that he crushed nothing. You said he crushed her and you are wrong. He crushed nothing. He barely won.

The agreement says no such thing. And coal is not low cost. It's more expensive then wind, hydro, natural gas, and nuclear, and it will very soon also be more expensive than solar.
Besides we have clean coal technology that produces almost zero emissions....
No we don't. Coal emission capture and storage technology has never worked at industrial scale and would be prohibitively expensive even if it did.

he just can not withdraw an agreement that is the fact. He can scream about it, but he just can not withdraw. It was approved in December 2016. It would be hilarious, if America would be fined several billions for not complying. USA is broke anyway.

An extremely rude actor with zero political experience beat one of the most experienced politicians in the world, and he did it over Twitter. I never thought it could happen, and neither did the polls. Clinton and her supporters screwed up big time.

Or maybe those backwater states should follow California's lead and step into the future instead of complaining about every change? California is the epicenter of innovation, economic and social, because it looks forward. Meanwhile other states, mostly red states, you know, the ones that bang the drum for self sufficiency and and all that good stuff, are literally welfare states dependent upon California. Maybe they should get off their you know what's and TRY. But that's too much to ask the entitled middle with their delusions of 1950s American grandeur. My only hope now is that enough of us on the west coast realize just how much the rest of the country is dragging us down and get serious about secession.

and for TIM, should **** do computers not politics. If you want politics you should step down. and again said that Macrumors is tweeting a tweet. World is nuts.

No argument there. She's the worst of the worst. I blame the Democratic Party 100% for Trump's victory. Bernie would have demolished Trump but Clinton loyalists put having the first woman president above country and they are 100% to blame.

Readers,

but ... why Apple force me to buy two devices, an iPad and a MacBook, instead of only one device? MacPad or iPad Surface. Switching between a mouse pointer GUI and a Touch-oriented GUI is technically possible in 2017. But Apple need to do more work. For less money.

Bernie would have lost as well. Trump snatched one of their core constituencies right out from under the noses of the Democrats. Look deeper into the demographic breakdowns of the polls that were accurately predicting Trump's victory and you will see the exactly why the Democrats lost and why Trump will win again.

"It's the economy, stupids."

It's not zero sum. That was how people used to think in the 1400s, and they developed protectionist economies. There is advancement. The poor and the middle class are better off now than the rich were in the past.

That has more to do with technological advances. There's a reason why the middle class is shrinking while the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. There's limited resources which is what makes it zero sum.

But I know what you're driving at. Globalism has helped many people out of poverty by spreading knowledge, skills, etc. but it also provided wealthier nations access to low cost workers which is a form of exploitation.

Bernie had no chance. A Grilled Cheese Sandwich would have beaten Bernie handsomely.

Yeah, that's why people waited in line for days to attend his rallies. He had the ability to speak across party lines and engage with people in a meaningful way. He didn't need cheap racist and xenophobic rhetoric to motivate the disenfranchised. He would have brought us together as a country and now we're more divided than ever. Which I'm sure makes the Chinese, Russians and everyone else who is eager for America to tumble very happy.
