Or maybe those backwater states should follow California's lead and step into the future instead of complaining about every change? California is the epicenter of innovation, economic and social, because it looks forward. Meanwhile other states, mostly red states, you know, the ones that bang the drum for self sufficiency and and all that good stuff, are literally welfare states dependent upon California. Maybe they should get off their you know what's and TRY. But that's too much to ask the entitled middle with their delusions of 1950s American grandeur. My only hope now is that enough of us on the west coast realize just how much the rest of the country is dragging us down and get serious about secession.

I take it you don't live in California.

Yeah, that's why people waited in line for days to attend his rallies. He had the ability to speak across party lines and engage with people in a meaningful way. He didn't need cheap racist and xenophobic rhetoric to motivate the disenfranchised. He would have brought us together as a country and now we're more divided than ever. Which I'm sure makes the Chinese, Russians and everyone else who is eager for America to tumble very happy.

Waiting in line at a rally does not a vote make.

I know. That's why Bernie won it all.

There is no freaking climate change. All these CEOs are so stupid. America was screwed from the get go on this deal. When are other countries going to step up to the plate and take responsibility for themselves? This whole climate thing is driving me crazy. Just a masquerade by the democrats to get more power and more money that's all it is.

If they're welfare states, you should be able to easily back that up with some financial data showing that they're not self-sufficient. They seem to do fine on their own.

What's the lead that they don't want to follow? They're fine with tech. They're taking our jobs in tech because companies like Apple are outsourcing to them! They're NOT fine with, say, federal laws saying that men must be able to use the women's restroom. That's just an insult to them. And with the rest of the issues like abortion and whatever, again, it's none of our business, but we act like it is. Gun laws sometimes matter at a federal scale, but they're not ok with gun laws that are clearly mostly supported by people who don't have any reason to own guns in the first place. They don't like our media either since it's now more apparent than ever that it's biased against them, and now their backs are turned.

Bernie would have lost as well. Trump snatched one of their core constituencies right out from under the noses of the Democrats. Look deeper into the demographic breakdowns of the polls that were accurately predicting Trump's victory and you will see the exactly why the Democrats lost and why Trump will win again.

"It's the economy, stupids."

Bernie understood that. Nobody snatched anything. A few swing states gave Trump his victory and in each of those states the vote count was very close. Hardly an impressive victory unless you're a delusional fanboy.

How? Please point out the specific portions of the agreements that help democrats get more power and money? All these CEOs are stupid and you are the smart one yet they are CEOs making news and you are the one commenting about them. 90+% of Scientists and Tech CEOs agree that climate change is real. It comes down to almost everyone with any knowledge and data on what is happening with our climate all saying one thing in agreement....but the failed businessman and people with zero knowledge or understanding of the climate know better.

Good news is it takes a long time to get out of the Paris Climate Agreement, and the final step is after the next election.

Countries can't withdraw until three years after the Paris Agreement went into effect.
The Paris Agreement entered into force on November 4, 2016; so this means the US would have to stay with it until November 2019. After that, the rules mandate a one-year notice period, which would mean a withdrawal in late 2020; after the next presidential election on November 3, 2020.

Today, the Paris Climate Agreement is polling at over 70% in favor with voters (indicating Republicans are split on it, with Democrats and Independents strongly in favor), and well over 50% in favor among the whole US population. This will be a campaign issue in 2020, and Trump has set himself and his party up to be on the wrong side of it.

Fact is though he never read the agreement. He fully believes he can pull out now.

It is unbelievable how people in the US would vote for an uneducated person with zero general knowledge.

This guy has literally no clue and doesn't even understand most of the topics he needs to have an opinion about.

I don't think it is exaggerated when people say he gets the news explained by Fox. This guy is seriously limited in his intellectual capabilities and I don't mean this in a disrespectful way.

All these CEOs should have encouraged Obama to push this to the senate. That is how our country does treaties. Any treaty one man does is undone by one man (or woman). Obama decided he should do this on his own without turning it over to the senate, so he made certain that any president that wanted to could withdraw. So here we are.

I agree. All politics aside one branch of government cannot side step another just to get something done. How to get a treaty ratified is spelled out clearly in the constitution. Both political parties are equally bad at this. Seems like the party in power at the moment suffers from amnesia sometimes when it comes to how our government is supposed to work.

That has more to do with technological advances. There's a reason why the middle class is shrinking while the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. There's limited resources which is what makes it zero sum.

But I know what you're driving at. Globalism has helped many people out of poverty by spreading knowledge, skills, etc. but it also provided wealthier nations access to low cost workers which is a form of exploitation.
What if the economy weren't globalized? Those low cost workers wouldn't have jobs at all. There's no way that corporations hiring out of a poor country will hurt that poor country, except in ways like pollution. Worst case, they offer those people an option that they don't take.

Yeah, because it makes perfect sense to force this guy to use the women's restroom. After all, he was born a woman!

I'm confused cause the only people I hear talking about climate change are radical liberals and these leftist CEOs. I can't recall any republican leader who has agreed with these people.

I can find plenty of data showing that they benefit more from federal taxes than we do, which I'd expect since they're poorer but pay similar rates, but I don't see any reason to think they can't exist without the Coasts or that California is better off without them. Most likely, if California secedes, both sides are hurt.

I don't know who that guy is, but I have two questions:
1. What genitals does he have? Cause that's the issue when he goes to the bathroom, not his gender.
2. Why does this need to be a federal law anyway?

He's a female to male transgender bodybuilder. I have no idea what genitals he has, nor do I care. I think you missed the point. Do we need genital inspectors at our restrooms now?

You're attempts at personal insult aside, the facts are:

Wisconsin - not voted Republican since 1984
Michigan - not voted Republican since 1988
Pennsylvania - not voted Republican since 1988
Iowa - Has only voted Republican twice since 1988
Ohio and Florida - Both returned to the Republican column after voting Democratic in the last two elections

Minimize them all you want. Facts are stubborn things.

What is the point? For some reason, women don't want to share restrooms with men, using both terms to refer to the sex and not the gender. Maybe in case you see one naked? IDK. As a man, I cannot answer why, but it definitely matters when you're choosing what kinds of toilets to install, and I'd rather have urinals in my bathroom because it's more convenient. Either way, he can probably use the male restroom if he wants and not run into any problems.

Tim should shut up. Trump did the right thing
The orange man should pack his suitcase and go home. He's good at shouting, insulting people, grabbing women, but nothing else. Time that Tim and people like him speak up.

Well the CEO of Exxon wanted us to stay in the Paris agreement. So did the CEO of Goldman Sachs. I hardly consider them radical, liberal, leftist or whatever other divisive and counterproductive terms you care to fling around.

If you think the refugee problem is bad now think how bad it will be when a billion people are displaced due to rising sea levels and record droughts.

Terrible decision to withdraw from the Paris Accord.

Including Americans who live too close to the coast.
