Al Gore's book is quite accurate, and far more accurate than contrarian books.

A local cold day has nothing to do with the long-term trend of increasing global temperatures.

A number of investigations have cleared scientists of any wrongdoing in the media-hyped email incident.

Hey Star, I appreciate the thought and research into this post. Just realize for every website you'll show me saying man made global warming is all real, I'll find you 5 that say it is all part of nature's course.

Then the million dollar question, what makes Al Gore above you and I telling us to reduce our carbon footprint while he increases his? The classic was one year on that Green Day where they told everyone to turn off their lights and power, an overhead shot of his house showed he must have had every light on in his house.

One simple article for you from Feb 2017 trying to make Obama look good:

We need to think about how we solve problems as a collective, and not just for ourselves.

Oh, the irony. The less than 1% unelected elite (the wolf) has convinced the collective of sheep that they should give up their liberty and freedom because that will be in the best interest of the flock of sheep.

Thus the collective of sheep is made to proudly serve the agenda of a tiny group of unelected psychopaths, thinking in their sheepish way that they are free and progressive sheep.

Problem-reaction-solution. Create a problem (real or fake, real as in terrorism by supporting terrorists and blowing things up and blaming it on the terror group they've themselves created or fake as in man made climate change), provoke a reaction (oh, please save us sheep from this calamity!) then offer a solution that invariably takes away the freedom and liberty of all sheep individually and increases the power of the elite.

The sheep don't mind as long as there is bread and circus, as long as they can watch their imbecile "stars" (deeply involved in satanism and pedofilia) singing in a car, everything is all right.

Yes, and how do we know all this? Because of the work of climate scientists. So why would you believe them if they tell you the climate has been changing for millions of years. But not when they tell you we are putting dangerous amounts of greenhouses gases in the atmosphere, and running the risk of derailing the climate?

Denying climate change is the equivalent of going to the doctor, who tells you he discovered metastatic cancer, but you're response is: "what the heck, that's impossible, I'm still breathing!" and refuse all treatment. You may well be alive in 3-6 months, but you won't be in 3-6 years.

Doctors can't predict the future, and neither can climate scientists. But they can make pretty accurate assumptions based on solid scientific data we shouldn't ignore.

Dude, stop with the logic. You're casting pearls before swine.

You do realise that everybody can put anything on the internet, and that doesn't make it necessarily true. I'm a climate scientist, and I can assure you there is NO debate in our community about whether climate change is real or not. And whether it is man-made or not. This debate is entirely political and not scientifically. I think the biggest pitfall in current society is that many people, including politicians, have lost faith in science and are not looking at facts anymore. And we, as the scientific community, failed in communicating a clear and coherent message.

Al Gore is not the godfather of climate change. Whatever he does or doesn't do has no impact whatsoever on whether climate change is real or not and is therefore totally irrelevant.

Dem candidate got 3 million more votes than your avatar.

Let's remove the electoral college because your candidate lost...boo hoo. No, really, its a smart idea, let's let 3 states pick the president from here on out. But I'll tell you what, if we are going to do it that way, then Voter ID should come into play, no?

Funny post, except you mixed up one little detail: The sheep are the once believing a biased politician with their own agenda over the tens of thousands of scientists worldwide.

remove all the politics from the debate, have a look at the science. Try to understand the greenhouse effect, and what is mankind doing now and how it's impacting the climate worldwide. Pick up a book on the topic and then form your OWN opinion instead of repeating what your favourite politician is telling you.

Where the scientific community failed is where they prostituted themselves to the interest of the 1% elite. The elite that own the educational institutions, those that pay you your grants and those that publish your work.

There is no loss of faith in science, there is total loss of faith in prostitute scientists that produce the crap the elite need to control the sheep.

Nothing personal, not saying all scientists are like that, just way too many.

You miss the simplest of points. It's not about belief in climate change. That much is certain.
It's about belief that mankind can change the earth's climate and reverse it with Green Energy or control the earth.
So far, the science on our efforts to change the climate is that they have FAILED.

The notion that humans alone control the earth's climatology is actually quite narcissistic.
Mankind has no control of an extraordinary number of things in Earth evolution and climatology.
Can we control animals? Only in a limited way and they far outnumber us.

Apple's efforts in Green Energy are a perfect example. They're using more recyclable materials while at the same time obsoleting products sooner so they will end in landfills sooner and sooner and sooner. It's like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Apple believes in the disposable phone and computer and really all devices. They do not subscribe to the car model of it being repaired and resold and fixed and modified.

I'm baffled by such an ignorant statements. Can we control animals? We have wiped out so many species already, many are on the verge of extinction, we slaughter 60 billion animals a year for meat consumption, countless are mistreated and abused, and you ask if we can control animals?????

Next, you claim we cannot control things like climatology. There are countless human actions that influence the weather and local climate, including urbanisation, deforestation and other kinds of land use. These impact the weather thousands of miles away. But yet, you don't think we can impact the global climate? Planet Earth is not that big. We managed to put the levels of CO2 over 400ppm. And we will pay the price for that.

Of course any of our efforts have failed because the levels of CO2 we are pumping in the air are still rising, instead of slowing down. Because of economic factors and political unwillingness.

Like geo-engineering? Spraying the clouds with barium, strontium, aluminium and all kinds of very poisonous substances. Or, maybe HAARP, manipulating climate by RF.

I'm sure you are well intending but serving your masters agenda have turned you into a fool.

My Master??? Oh, you're a conspiracy believer? I'm out. Believe whatever you want. I'll continue to have faith in facts, science and reasoning. Enjoy your stay in your little, self-created, fantasy world. Believe the world is flat, man is at the mercy of God, we evolved from Adam and Eve and dinosaurs roamed the Earth 3000 years ago. But don't hold back those who live in the real world, want to move forward and fix the serious issues our globalised world is facing. And maybe consider to stop using your iToy, because it was created by ... science.

WHY ......should Tim Cook and others "stay out of politics"? That is the current thinking of Trump supporters and some of the Republicans. In other words, should we ALL "stay out of politics", when the POLITICS (big and small) is the thing that drive us all to act OR not act, to have our say or not, to have a right to vote and have a say in our government - local and federal. Trump IS a dunce and so is the current White House. The last time I check, this is America, not Russia or Iran.

There is no settled scientific consensus. Earth has been hotter than now before Mankind set foot on it and it has gone through ebbs and flows of heating and cooling.

Blaming the carbon boogeyman is nonsense. You can just as easily plot the population explosion in the 20th and 21st centuries as the cause...

It's more than settled.... it's concrete. You only need a very simple understanding of a few things, such as the fact that greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere. These concentrations or pockets are uneven and so the heating is fundamentally different from cyclical heating that occurred in the past.

It's only a "debate" in extremely capitalist societies (mainly America) in order to protect vast fossil fuel industries. It's done by propagandizing imbeciles who then jump on message boards or social media and present their vacuous side of the debate.

No need to be toxic on this topic. But hey, why dont we just try to make things cleaner just in case something bad happen? I mean look at our advancements since the first industrial revolution. We have made so much foot print from millions of millions of manufactured goods and manufacturing facilities.

Whether you believe we are causing the pollution or not dont matter. We should take care of our world by trying to make our actions more environment friendly.

I'm talking over your head but I'm sure you are well aware of all the instances of fraud and falsification within the scientific community. Science is very much dominated by ego, to be published, to be recognised, something that will not happen unless you are in sync with the main stream. If you do challenge the main stream you will be ostracised from the scientific community. Something more than a few have experienced.

And yes, I do believe in a Creator and that man is at the mercy of God. To believe that something come out of nothing by a great explosion that created complete order in nature is... not very scientific. Do the scientific experiment and blow something up and see what kind of order results from the explosion.

You freely give your scientific perspective and try to prove a mechanistic world by asking for just a small leap of faith that your whole scientific model depends on a religious belief that everything came from nothing. Show me scientifically anything that comes from nothing.

So no, just because you label your self as a scientist is not enough, if you speak garbage your are still a fool.

I'll keep this very easy for you: show me concretely which data, which numbers, which scientific hypothesis is wrong and on what points, regarding climate change. Don't drag politics into it. Show me the current state of the art in climate change and show me where you believe it is wrong. And then we can have a discussion.

Until then, you're just talking nonsense.

Democratic party at its weakest point since the 30's.

Sorry, nobody is listening to you.
The 30's were the Democrats' heyday... FDR, Supermajorities in both Houses...

As for the Paris Agreement, had President Obama put it as a treaty, and it were ratified by the Senate, per the US Constitution, then President Trump would have to go through the process (whatever that is...) to get out of it. As it stands now, all he has to do is say, "We're out."

Those that live by the non-treaty die by the non-treaty.

If the G7 wants to do something about the climate they should stop all their wars.

War is one of the most polluting activities in the world at the moment. Do you know how the US and their "allies" get rid of all their waste in Irak and Afghanistan etc. They dig big (very big) holes in the ground and burn it all. At the rate of 10-50 metric tonnes a day. This creates incredibly toxic wastes that are spread in the air.

Depleted uranium, ever heard of that? This is all hypocrisy.

Let's find out if Apple and Tesla are getting government subsidies to reduce their carbon footprint. If they do, why should they? If they don't, why do they care if Trump is withdrawing from the Treaty? They can continue doing what they are doing to reduce their carbon footprint whether the US is in the Treaty or outside the Treaty.
Never submitted to the Senate, never ratified, not a treaty that the US is subject to.

Too bad he couldn't have done that with the Republicans having the majority. Because then the current administration could not create so much havoc.

Your conspiracy mind is again conflating all kinds of non-related stuff. While war is clearly very polluting, it does not excuse us from tackling other issues. We have to deal with both the consequences of the war started by the previous Republican president, while also tackling greenhouse emission, as initiated by the last Democratic president.

Well, you're attacking mine. So it seems only fair you disclose yours. So I can assess how far gone you really are before continuing this joke of a discussion with you.
