Sadly, I agree with Tim. Normally, I'd say business leaders should stick to business but this government and society has devolved to where people with immense influence need to step up; and few people have more influence than those who have the power to offer/take away thousands of jobs.

I already saw comments about how Apple should pay more taxes, as if giving more money will stop their wasteful spending.

We pay twice more in taxes now than when JFK was in office (adjusted for inflation) yet the government can't throw it away fast enough; our debt keeps climbing while public service and infrastructure erodes.

Stop looking for handouts and demand more from your government. If you want a piece of Apple's billions, buy their stock and join the wealthy instead of complaining about the wealthy.

Quote
"The reality is that government, for a long period of time, has for whatever set of reasons become less functional and isn't working at the speed that it once was. And so it does fall, I think, not just on business but on all other areas of society to step up."

The US Government's current farcical pretence at democracy and inevitable slide into authoritarian nationalism perhaps?

Thankfully with a patriot like President Trump in office, Tim Cook can have a leader to guide and help grow the economy of this once great and proud land

Is this satire? I can't tell...

Tim Cook is an inspiration to all Americans and one of the greatest American success stories of this era.
Or one of the luckiest mofos to jump ship from Dell just when Apple needed a parts and logistics guy. Cook certainly has the skills to run a complex organization, but I doubt he would be successful in a startup. He's not in the same league as Henry Ford or Steve Jobs.

A patriot that dodged the draft to avoid serving; by lying and saying his foot hurt.

Trump is a patriot of Russia.

Muh draft, muh service.

Who cares? So he sidestepped some stupid illegal war in some third world country to do nothing but test weapons and chemicals.

Really tired of this high horse mindset about military service. There hasn't been a just war fought by patriots of the United States since WW2. Period.

Everything since then has been illegal, empire-building garbage for the purpose of making billionaires out of military contractors and toppling democratically elected governments of foreign countries that weren't in line with the game called "The American Empire."

Yeah, thanks for your service to Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics.

Only the Russian investigation witch hunt is a satire of democracy
Either he did or didn't know what collusion was doesn't matter. The idea that Russia meddled in this election and Trump is standing behind the spoils smirking is pretty gross.
Big new push for him being a white supremacist now.
I don't think he's a white supremacist but he did a great job legitimizing them in two different speeches. Dude needs to fire his advisors or proofread his address before speaking.
Shh... don't bring up the popular vote. Let's live behind the notion that Trump won by a landslide by the same antiquated process that elected George W. Bush.

Did he?

...BLM and Antifa are good groups now?

And you’re using Trump’s demeanor as evidence of Russia meddling? Lord save us.

So he’s a Russia colluder, and a white supremacist advocate.

The two coupled, would you argue he’s a White Russian supremacist?

Far out— this aggression will not stand, man.

Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg (and The Rock possibly) are out of their minds for thinking they stand a chance, if that is indeed what's floating around in their heads

Yeah, Kanye all the way!
(satire)

Honestly- He’d get my protest vote if it came down to those 3 clowns and him on the Dem ballot in an alternate universe (at least the ‘old’ Kanye) but I wouldn’t be proud of it and I wouldn’t have a lot/any confidence in it lol.

Trump > *, 2020 will be no contest. This hysteria and nonsense, and lack of regard for ANY issues that Americans care about will NOT bode well. It may bode well for getting a congratulatory pat on the back in your echo chamber and some short term ego strokes and upvotes, but thats about it.

Speaking of which, how odd is it that Kanye has remained silent since his “dehydration outburst” against HRC and the ‘radio’ and Jay/Beyoncé late last year?

He went from one of the most arrogant and outspoken, to one of the most recluse and reserved 60 to 0 seemingly overnight. And bleach blonde hair? I know he’s had some odd looks, in the name of “fashion” (and erratic behavior, as an understatement) but... bleach blonde?!? I seriously doubt this was some show of solidarity for ‘Cheetoh’s’ hair either, more like to ridicule his own image.

I’m of the opinion they MK Ultra’d him. His body is still Kanye, but his brain? Not so sure,

Trump seems to be exceedingly gentle with him, too.

I would have taken Al Gore as President any day over Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton if he had run in the last election.

Al Gore is an absolute fraud and has made perhaps more money than ANYONE from his global warming Ponzi scheme fueled by instilling guilt on others.

It has literally made him rich.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4758152/Al-Gore-s-mansion-uses-21-times-energy-average.html

But he’s worried about societal nobodies like us, ruining the whole living-on-earth thing for all human beings, overshooting our carbon footprint ‘wad’

Never mind that his ‘Inconvenient Truth’ allegations were inconveniently, not at all true. We should be completely screwed by now, but we’re still kicking! Must be an anomaly! It is no surprise the sequel to Inconvenient Truth is doing horrendously at the box office, we’re uninterested in listening to the boy who cried wolf, and being lectured and talked down to.

Same with celebrities so deeply concerned, like Leonardo DiCaprio.
Yes its a Fox News link deal with it but I’ll give you a photograph too

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...ntal-responsibility-but-does-practice-it.html

What better way to show he cares about the environment and sustainability, than hooking up with supermodels on his mega yacht burning up fuel to goof around all over the world? But please, listen to him, and make sure your next car is a Prius even if you’re Jonesing for and can afford a low end sports car, or you are simply a horrible person. No if, ands, or buts about it.
