Only the Russian investigation witch hunt is a satire of democracy

How about the Monica Lewinsky witch hunt? Or the Saturday Night Massacre? Clearly, both deserved less public outrage and scrutiny? I mean, what's more serious than a foreign government influencing our elections?

If Americans want to fix the government, we have that power. All we have to do is stop supporting the corrupt democrat and republican parties and vote independent. The parties only care about themselves and have rigged the system to maintain control. It should be clear by now that their primary interest is helping themselves and their parties, not the American people. As for Trump, it's clear Trump only cares about Trump and he thinks he's still on a reality TV show. They all need to go.

AMERICANS VOTED FOR TRUMP! 60 some odd million of them.

...We just keep our mouths shut (IRL at least) unlike hysterical bratty extremist liberals who cant wake up without being pissed off, both online but most notably, IRL. Random unsolicited turret outbursts ALL THE TIME

how hard is that to believe? You have to blame it entirely on a foreign entity?

It’s insulting to your fellow Americans.

And you want to say “none of my friends or family or anyone I work with or know voted for him”

That’s the best!

Spoken like a true capitalist putting their shareholders first and foremost...
If Apple were serious about app developers, they would sell a professional laptop with memory up to 32GB and not at such an inflated cost, and they would of actually bothered to upgrade their 'pro' desktop computer in the last 4 years! But hey you get a boosted iMac starting at 4 grand now if you want new specs and more memory.....

Yeah Apples behaviour to economies and professionals has been rather self cantered since Jobs went!

EDIT:: oh my appolgies, my post wasn't bashing the US government in some way, like every single other post in here is doing

Far more people voted for Hillary than Trump.

America is a liberal country - love it or leave it!

What will happen to Apple when Tim Cook makes it official that his interest is a political career and nothing more than a political career? I suppose it will be better, at least Apple news will be less stupid then, but on the other hand he's going to leave Apple facing a nonsense direction.

heres-the-final-2016-electoral-college-map.jpg

Sure is, isnt it?

America is a country that determines its president electorally. Donald Trump won in that very capacity, electorally, as has always been the case; the rules dont change impromptu, simply because you dont like the results or have unrelenting hatred for the candidate of opposition.

And boy, that sure looks like an AWFUL lot of red for an objectively liberal country, dont it? Its not unanimous I can easily concede that, but I can also concede we’re incredibly divisive and it isnt just because of one candidate and because of one election that some people still cant come to terms with the fact that its over, That happened back in November now. This is a development that has been occurring for some time dating way further back than this past election season. To think otherwise is imo completely ignorant to fact and one’s surroundings and general state of affairs.

California, one state mind you, is responsible for putting up almost a forth of the total electoral college votes for your beloved Hillary Clinton. Hmmm..

If California as a whole wants to secede and form their own Calexit, I say FANTASTIC! Go for it!

Love it... or leave it!

I would have taken Al Gore as President any day over Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton if he had run in the last election.
Al Gore, the guy who jets around the world to tell everyone to reduce their carbon footprint.

Wow! I'm so glad Tim-bo put aside his day-job/coat-tail-ridin' ambitions and took up his humanitarian passions ... of being a politician... with such passion.

"A suicide net in every pot!!"

He's exactly what America is yearning for--another beltway-media shill divorced from the lives of the small people he will rule with an arbitrary moral fist of double talk and propaganda. That'll be great for the (his) economy.

Go dance on Ellen.

apple has the moral responsibility to update the Mac Mini

Hahaha, hilarious! Apple has the moral responsibility to give us the possibility to downgrade iOS!

I have said this before and I will repeat again: Tim Cook is running for president in the next election AND he is going to win. Write that down.

Written that down, we are still going to this forums everyday and will see... :-D

Tim is remarkably free of charisma and has aligned Apple with a number of objectionable leftist causes. Think John Kasich plus BLM and Antifa. I don't think that's a winner. He's got some work to do to polish up the turd.

That said, I admire that Apple is investing in teaching technology skills in community colleges. More of that, Tim, and less support of Southern Poverty Law Center's effort to brand half of America as Nazi.

Or one of the luckiest mofos to jump ship from Dell just when Apple needed a parts and logistics guy. Cook certainly has the skills to run a complex organization, but I doubt he would be successful in a startup. He's not in the same league as Henry Ford or Steve Jobs.

On the plus side, though, the Federal Government is a complex organization.

Pay taxes before becoming teaching morality
(instead of evading the gross national reserve of multiple countries year over year)
I am so done with this greatest financial debtor on the planet, hiding behind that dullface

What’s weird about these interviews with Tim Cook is it’s obvious his politics are left of center and if he ever ran for office he’d run as a Democrat but he always couches his political views as something everyone would agree with regardless of their political affiliation (and thus I guess he thinks he’s coming across as apolitical). That’s just absurd. I’m guessing most conservatives don’t have the same views as him on LBJ, gay marriage, global warming etc. I’d rather he just own his liberalism and say good people can disagree on these issues.

Al Gore is an absolute fraud and has made perhaps more money than ANYONE from his global warming Ponzi scheme fueled by instilling guilt on others.

It has literally made him rich.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4758152/Al-Gore-s-mansion-uses-21-times-energy-average.html

But he’s worried about societal nobodies like us, ruining the whole living-on-earth thing for all human beings, overshooting our carbon footprint ‘wad’

Never mind that his ‘Inconvenient Truth’ allegations were inconveniently, not at all true. We should be completely screwed by now, but we’re still kicking! Must be an anomaly! It is no surprise the sequel to Inconvenient Truth is doing horrendously at the box office, we’re uninterested in listening to the boy who cried wolf, and being lectured and talked down to.

Same with celebrities so deeply concerned, like Leonardo DiCaprio.
Yes its a Fox News link deal with it but I’ll give you a photograph too

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...ntal-responsibility-but-does-practice-it.html

What better way to show he cares about the environment and sustainability, than hooking up with supermodels on his mega yacht burning up fuel to goof around all over the world? But please, listen to him, and make sure your next car is a Prius even if you’re Jonesing for and can afford a low end sports car, or you are simply a horrible person. No if, ands, or buts about it.

I think he's a bit of a hypocrite but that does not invalidate global warming.
[doublepost=1504006867][/doublepost]Making apps is not a good long-term solution to anything. Bringing those manufacturing jobs to the US even if they result in higher prices and fewer workers in those factories is still a better choice for the economy as a whole. It leaves Apple in a position where they can stamp made in America on their products, and means they don't have to compromise their moral values or have their factories shut down. The whole "but there aren't any skilled workers in america!!1!1!" Line of reasoning is faulty. If there aren't, then bring Foxconn people over to train them.

Problem I have with people like Tim Cook, Steve Jobs etc, is that they work in / run a dictatorship.

Does not mean a dictatorship MUST be bad, but that's how their and pretty much all private companies run.

Boss decides something and that's the way it is.
You don't have FoxCom workers voting out Steve or Tim

And this is how Trump is also. It's find when you run a company, you SHOUT people either jump or get out.

Nobody wants to pay more for US made products if the Chinese can produce it for cheaper.

How much more are YOU willing to pay for your iPhone? Because if it were all made in the US, it would double in price to about $1200.

This is the neoliberal world we live in. There's no turning back, and it's fine. This reduces inflation, which benefits the elderly and the poor the most, since they're dependent on commodity foreign products the most.

Americans will just have to find other sources of employment besides competing against the Chinese. If you are competing against a Chinese farmer, you have already lost. Americans have tremendous advantages over the Chinese farmer that they can leverage, including basic english skills. That's a huge advantage in a world where global commerce is done in english.

We all need to be thankful for neoliberal President Obama that the current economy is still growing under Trump. Let's continue to fight Trump's agenda in order to ensure it's continued growth.

The minute Trump finally gets to pass a piece of legislation, the economy will crash. We must ensure the Obama economy remains as-is. Fortunately, President Obama is powerful enough that his agenda continues under the weak Trump administration. President Obama's legacy will be that of America's most powerful president that rescued our economy and gave the people health-care.

Are you trolling with this post? lol.

LOL. You're in for another surprise if you think anything Left/Liberal is winning any Election moving forward.

You've showed your hand and the people are woke. I'd say all that's left is the crying but you have been doing plenty of that.

It would be nice if Tim Cook said Apple had a moral responsibility to pay their fair share of tax in the country that revenue was generated in instead of shipping money off to some low rate tax haven.
Would also be nice for Apple to lower the price of the phone which has risen to silly levels for a phone.

As a Trump supporter, I wouldn't be upset if Tim ran for president in 2020. I think both work ethics with Trump and Tim are comparable. Both have visions on how to improve the job market and Tim has one advantage of doing this while helping the environment and doesn't tweet things that hurt people. As a bonus, Tim's replacement at Apple may refresh the Mac Mini again.

Tim Cook is an inspiration to all Americans and one of the greatest American success stories of this era.

Apple has never been a moralistic company - not under Jobs (who was a brilliant, principled but arrogant and egotistical soul) nor under Cook (who is, in comparison a pandering hypocrite on everything from labour rights, taxation, government spying and freedom of expression)

He took over a an existing, well running company with great products, makes small changes and adds a lot of spin - subsequently exploits foreign labour as much as possible, supporting China and other country's extreme censorship laws whilst claiming to be 100% pro "democracy", maintains the moral lie that Apple pays more than their fair share of taxes - whilst they clearly don't - neither morally nor legally (see EU Tax Ruling) and happily helps the government whilst talking a big game about privacy.

I respect America's founding ideals - but I consider your statement rather ironic.
