Also, just 3-4 minutes after I made the reservation, I received a canned message from "iPhoneUpgrade@apple.com" with this. Timing is likely a coincidence but it's just over 25 hours since I called the IUP Specialists:

yeah, It seems Apple is fixing the Upgrade program. In store stock was suppose to be for program. But since phones were not at store yet it didn't let people order. My guess is now phones are at stores or allocated to stores and IUP people are getting their supply.

No Jet Black most likely because Apple don't have any.

So here is a thought. I did call in yesterday and talk to a IUP Specialist about the issues we encountered. Maybe they made a reservation on the back end and it just didn't trickle down to me yet. Wishful thinking.....

U know that could be the case. Maybe he has you all ready to go but he just didn't call u yet. I mean like I said b4 I have a FULL PRICE order for the Jet Black. I just don't have an IUP order.

Maybe you do and don't know yet!! GL.

I called Sunday and got NO email to date. And the guy reconfirmed ALL my info before hanging up.

How ironic I won't get my phone.

Oh well.....

Would you mind checking black 128GB or 256GB Black or Jet Black (wishful thinking, I know). Burlingame, CA or any San Francisco Locations Thanks in advance!

I don't even know how to cancel my reservation.... It's not showing up under "My Reservations" for my Apple account which makes me a bit leary that maybe this is a glitch.
 
The same thing happened to me fwiw. I'm at about 38 hours from my original call.
I'm thinking they are finally formalizing things.

The guy I talked to (Edwin) said that late Saturday /early Sunday they started forming this new department. He said that they were pulling supervisors (which he was in a different area), and "top performing" specialists to make the lateral move to the iphone upgrade program team. He said that they told them they were proverbially "taking care of apples VIPs". He said that he was happy they came up with this program to help people with getting the phone they wanted and was overly apologetic. The. He said something funny about the "competitors" blowing up and we had a candid discussion about the samsung v iPhone which was awesome.

Alas he said that the program was so new that people at level 1 call centers which are all over the US weren't getting updated quick enough since it was an email blast. He said he was getting told that all day by callers that some didn't know.

Cool to know that they pulled supervisors and too reps to deal with this. Makes sense though since they're the best at damage control.

You know something, what's the Url of the page you are checking for "IUP stock" in Safari (after being redirected from the Apple store app)? Thinking about this some, when going thru the app store to order through the IUP program, you are thrown to Safari to reserve an iPhone. I don't see why anyone couldn't use that same Url that is generated for you to check for "IUP stock". It doesn't seem to be tied to the iPhone or account that a user is trying to upgrade from in the Apple app store app.

Oops sorry for the lack of info. Carrier: AT&T. Yeah I'm in the upgrade program and spoke with the IUP rep on Sunday. I never received a confirmation email from them even though the rep said that he would right after the phone call. I called a couple hours later and spoke with another rep and he said he found my info and would send the original rep a message to email me his info, never did. Worried they have my wrong email address. I was able to make a reservation for an iPhone 7 Black 128GB, but I want the iPhone 7 Plus Black 128GB/256GB.

Ok folks here is the deal. My wife signed up for the IUP this year and reserved a Rose Gold iPhone 7+. On the 9th when trying to reserve her phone it encountered an error so she had to do it again. All of this was on her phone and under her Apple ID. Anyway, the 2nd time it went through and she did her Citizens Loan application and received the loan information email. So on her phone she had a reservation from the 1st attempt in the system. We canceled that and I was able to see the i7+ 128GB matte Black on MY Apple Store app on MY phone. The only thing we share is the same wireless plan and everyone is in the "Apple "Family". Tell me that isnt weird. Millionaire2K you are awesome. Thanks a million. :)

I was able to pre-order thanks to the incredibly timed post of a member on here.

I reserved black 128GB iPhone 7 Plus but i have always used silver/white. I hope to not regret it (Already do)

Millionaire any chance knowing if stock replenishes hourly or daily? Also If you can see 256 GB black AT&T stock in Washinton State, again please? Tacoma, Tukwilla, Bellevue, Seattle, or Lynnwood
 
So, I just checked my local store after taking the risk of cancelling my initial reservation of a 128GB 7+ in gold (which I happened to get by happenschance) and was lucky enough to find a 256GB Black 7+ tonight. I also never heard back from IUP specialist I talked to early Sunday and received no email from Apple (55 hours). Anyway, I have a question for anyone who knows: I'm a Verizon customer, but the 256 black 7+ I have now pre-ordered was only available with Sprint. Any idea if I can just swap out my SIM card and tell them I use Verizon since both are CDMA networks? I had heard something about being locked into Sprint for 50 days with their phone, but I wasn't sure if that was true or not. Really don't wanna end up with a non-functioning phone. I feel like I should be able to take out the sprint SIM card and put my Verizon one in and be ok.
