As long as I show up in my reservation window and show my email confirmation, I will get my iPhone 7+ 128gb gold. She reiterated many times that I should show up at or before 5:30. I told her she was not instilling confidence here, and flat out asked if she was implying they may run out of stock by the end of my appointment window. She said although I have a half hour window 5:30-6, all reservations have a three hour window for reservation pick up but she said that yes it's possible the stock will not make it to the end of the three hour window. I asked her if it's possible to verify with the local store my reservation, she put me on hold, came back, and could not confirm I personally had a reservation.

Zero confidence here guys. Not sure what else to do. I've called and spoken to two people now.


I was told from a rep you have a week to pick up your reservation. A week seemed long to me, but just shows that no one knows what they are talking about.
 
This is really a complete mess. I wrote Tim Cook on Friday and received an email from an associate. Gave them a call and they said they'd work on securing a phone over the weekend. Didn't hear back Monday, Tuesday and now Wednesday. To make things worse, the IUP is now limiting us to _no_ Jet Black and _no_ Plus models in 256GB (you'll see that the options now say '32 and 128GB only.' This program is terrible. Regret signing up for it a year ago.

Agreed. Based on the experience of you guys in the US, and the hassle it's clearly going to be trying to get started in the U.K., I'm thinking I'll just leave it and upgrade next year.
 
I wonder if it'll be a problem that my phone screen is cracked. In reading Apple's page it say's "Don't worry about the condition of your phone but you may need to pay a fee to have it repaired", however the stores could be a pain in the ass about it.

They will probably just charge you for the repair and then move on to the next step in the process.
 
After 40 minutes of back and forth, this is what I'm told about the issue of my reservation not showing up in my account now on their reservation checking website.
Not everyone's reservation will show in their Apple account (I took that with a grain Of salt). She could not tell me why this is.

You pay the fee during the trade in transaction and they repair it later on. You still surrender the phone you just pay the cost to repair when you sign up for the new phone plan.
 
I think this may be the way to go, once activated the phone is unlocked and can be switched over to any carrier.

Apple customer support was an utter disappointment last night, the rep asked me "If you knew you were on T-Mobile why did you reserve a Sprint phone?" I had to explain how the IUP program allocations were exhausted for T-Mobile and the only other option would have been to buy the phone outright as those supplies existed... somehow when you buy into a loyalty program, you become a second rate customer.

I think I'm done with IUP, for one of the largest companies in the world this has been a massive failure.
Since I am reserved for a Verizon phone (that I want to use on T-Mobile), I wonder if purchasing one of these would help assure that I get the phone unlocked once "activated"--assuming that is necessary, since I don't have a Verizon sim/account:

It also does not show up when I try mine online at that link. It does show up in my app under the "Account" tab, though.

When I use that link, my reservation is not found. "We’re sorry. We can’t find your reservation. Please verify your information and try again."

However, when I use the Apple Store App on my iPhone, I can view the existing reservation (click Account at the bottom) as originally shown on the email confirmation.

I'm going to trust that the app knows best considering there is a QR code in the app reservation that the retail employee is supposed to scan when you show up.
 
Probably another Apple Specialist that doesn't know what she was talking about. Regardless, I still have no record of my reservation in the iPhone app, my Apple account on the website, nor when I call them :-(. I just have an email to go off of. I'm gonna still recommend people check their accounts after reserving.

I don't think the reservations show up for anyone. I asked a few people that reserved on the 9th to check and their reservation doesn't show up either. All of ours show in the Apple Store app though. Until multiple people confirm their reservation shows up, I wouldn't worry about it.

My reservation doesn't show up anywhere. I think some of the early orders (for the folks when called Fri & Sat) were done before they had any kind of system in place. They might only exist on a spreadsheet somewhere. That's the impression I got this morning, I'm supposed to get a call back today confirming there really will be a phone waiting for me.
 
I'm going to have to cancel my reservation for a black iPhone 7 Plus in Miami. Can someone please check if they have any left for reservation at an earlier time slot? My original appointment was at 1:30PM and I'd like to know if they have any like at 8:30AM?

The link was just a means to offer another way I could check my non-existent reservation. (YES, this includes in the app) It was given to me by Apple. Sorry to alarm everyone, I would still verify if yoru account says you have a reservation, just not use that link which is sounding like it is obviously nonfunctional.

I shouldn't be in that group.... I reserved my iPhone at 11:30PM through the website last night, but who knows what is going on. If you guys hear of a woman gone crazy at an Apple store on Friday evening around 6PM, you'll know it was me.

update, I called Apple sales again to see if someone else could look up my reservation and confirm it exists, and again they could find no record of it and recommended I just show up on Friday (and hope that there will be a phone there for me at 5:30 PM at the beginning of my reservation window)

AppleCare+ is included with the iPhone Upgrade Program, so you get up to two incidents of accidental damage coverage, each subject to a service fee of $29 for screen damage or $99 for any other damage, plus applicable tax. You can pay the incident fee when you upgrade at the Apple Store.
 
The only issue with this (which is great news) is that if we never hear back, we don't know what store to go to. I assume our primary? As far as I understood, my agent took both a primary and backup store in hopes of getting the desired model to one of them.
She told me on the phone we have your first choice all around and read it all back to me to confirm it....so I was told what store to go to

Again the Apple Specialist doesn't know why I have an reservation confirmed by email but it's not showing in my account nor the app. He offered no solutions, nor knows if I'll be able to get my "reserved" phone on Friday as scheduled, but suggested the issue may be because my 12th payment on the IUP doesn't auto draft until tomorrow. Anyone else in a similar boat with your 12th IUP payment drafting between when preorder opened up till release day and not seeing your reservation?
 
I just tried calling my Specialist for an update but got an error that the extension was invalid. Has anyone else worked with Shea? He gave me his extension as 5260500
