After switching to Safari and refreshing a bit, I got my reservation! 128GB iPhone 7 Plus in Black at Apple Store, Sherway Gardens in Toronto for pickup tomorrow morning!

Just got a reservation as well! Do you know if Apple will allow the phones to be sold unlocked despite it saying it's for carriers only? I just wanna pick it up like I did with my 6 Plus - reserve online and pickup hassle-free with the appointment!

Probably not going to happen. At least in the US. It takes a few weeks for them to sell unlocked phones, although the VZW is unlocked. Probably supply constraints and carrier agreements they have set up.

navigating through Apple's normal way of ordering, I don't see reservations link available, only shipping?

Yeah I'm quite afraid of that happening. I'm going to probably call the store or contact Apple first thing in the morning before going to it just to be sure
 
California just popped up on the IPU reserve page

No sttores locally showing 7 plus
 
Wow, IUP orders on west coast just went live. 7 plus 128 showed up in black. Score. Reserved. When done it said it was a regular 7... WTF!
