Now y'all are scaring me with this full price business. I reserved at att phone today and want to do t mobile IUP.

I reserved a 7+ on my Apple account. Will I be able to go in with my girlfriend and give her the reservation? I reserved it for her because she's asleep right now.

One more question, a bit off topic but my phone is set to arrive on Wednesday, will I be able to return my preordered phone (paid off) without an issue?

Just a follow up. Was able to successfully reserve a 256 black plus this morning using the istocknow page along with iup reserve and pickup page. Paid in full, and walked out no questions asked. Thanks everyone in the forum.

Good luck and please report back. reservation page shows no JB there. If it's legit, I'm now curious if JB stock just isn't being updated online or if that one was some sort of fluke unopened customer return.
They are blatantly lying to me about not having any iPhones in stock at all. Not letting me do walk in purchase

You're trying to use logic with iPhone launches. Yes in real world that makes sense, we would be able to walk in and pick any phone and as long as we activate it apple should not care. But alas it does not work that way.
Also t mobile and att use the Sam's device.

I wonder if I'm getting trouble from them I can buy it full price which would make it unlocked. Then return it and buy it again with the IUP program and t mobile. I had a manager tell me they could do the return and buy thing.

My appointment is in an hour. I'll report back. Everyone wish me luck.

Apple doesn't care even if you don't activate it. I haven't activated a phone at applestore for 3 years now.

Right I just mean to avoid scalpers and re-sellers. Not selling unlocked phones on launch day and making you activate I can understand. But this non sense about only being able to pick X phone when we're suppose to have an unlocked phone with IUP is ridiculous.

It's something to do with the IMEI number, so if the IMEI is for a Verizon iPhone while unlocked can't be registered to T-Mobile iUP. I don't think returning the iphone and rebuying will work because the IMEI number is not in T-Mobile system.

Thanks. What about all of these people buying Verizon phones using them on other carriers? And t mo can add IMEI to their network. I have done that before.

I am not sure what you are saying.Perhaps that they are selling phones based on carrier while all IUP phones are unlocked?

I have picked up a full price unlocked phone on launch day every year since iPhone 5S. Just tell them you want a full price phone, you don't really need to activate.

I dont see the obsession with IUP anyways. It's a bad deal to throw away $35-40 bucks a month atleast for absolutely no equity . Buy a full price, sell next year and repeat.

I sold my 6 for $570 last year, I sold my 6S for $600 this year. I had to add $200 to get a new phone, that's $16.66/mo which is a much much better deal than IUP is.

Okay managed to score a reservation for the phone I wanted + RG 256 att. I am going to try to use iUP if I get approved, if not att next which I know I qualify.

On the way now, but I'm running late. 4-430 appointment, I'll make it there by 5, stores open until 6. Concern is.. will they still have my phone or will they sell it??
