Got my matte black reserved, paid full price, walked out. It was the easiest process ever. No way am I waking up at 2:00 am to preorder again. Now I just have to wait for the one that's being delivered on Tuesday to return it.

Close one here. Reserved an iPhone 7 Plus - 128GB - Black - Verizon using the IUP link and the lady tells me that I can't buy the iPhone unless I put it on a Verizon plan, even if I pay for it in full. I was like WTF, go ask a manager. She did and walked out with a fully paid iPhone 7 Plus. I guess she was new...

another thank you to everyone that shared this. Grabbed a black, 256gb 7+ VZW to use on ATT with ease this morning.
Successfully got my 7+ 256 this way today. Now just need to see if I have any trouble getting the $650 trade in promotion from AT&T. I bought the phone on Next Every Year.
went to apple store at 12PM to pick up two black Plus 32GB. an Apple guy worked with me said I have to use Apple program since that was what it said in his system even when I told him that I wanted AT&T next. after back and forth, he said that he checked with his managers.
after a few minutes he came back and said that I can sign up for AT&T Next. I am out of Apple store within 30 min with both phones. Then I went to AT&T store to do trade-in for two of my old iphone 6 64GB. the guy from AT&T was surprised that I got iphone 7 Plus. he asked me how I got it since he tried to find one for himself. I told him that I reserved online for pickup.
after 20 min, I was out of AT&T store. they gave me a pager that showed $190 for each phone. He said the credit will show on my monthly bill. I hope this will work and no issues.

I have T-Mobile, my friend has Verizon. We both reserved Verizon 128GB Matte Black 7+ through the IUP link.
Checking in, the rep asked right off the bat if we were buying full price. I said yes and was moved to a shorter line and was done in 10 minutes.
My friend was doing a 2yr contract upgrade through Verizon and was in and out in less that 20.
I can attest that you can buy it however you want if you reserve through the IUP link, they don't care. Never again will I reserve through T-Mobile.

People actually WALKED IN asking the guys at the door what's in stock.
I don't know for sure, but I would think not tonight/tomorrow morning as it's sunday and I'm doubtful they received any deliveries. I'm assuming apple store gets their deliveries from say ups, fedex, etc and not a freight truck like walmart
So you guys were right. I reserved an ATT 7 plus and tried to do t mobile IUP. No go. However, I am trying to work some magic. Lol
What I did was buy the phone full price. I then called t mobile and had them add the IMEI to their network. Then I'm going to attempt to return the phone and buy it immediately again with t mobile IUP. T mobile did add it without issue.
I need all the good vibes and luck I can get from everyone lol.
edit: added a screen shot from tmo help. I'm still not sure this will work but I'm a least a little hopeful at this point.
I'm also going to keep checking for t mobile plus devices online during this time because i could just return this ATT one and do IUP with the t mo one.
Sigh the things I do to give apple my money lol

I am waiting to check in to see if i can do an exchange. i will post back my results.
On the phone with T-mobile tech support and they are working on add my IMEI number to TMO database. @THE JUICEMAN good job on thinking outside of the box.
