I found a sprint version at my local store but I'm ATT. Besides buying it outright through the IUP. Can I ask them to make it ATT next payment plan even though it's under sprint checkout?

Folks can stop using the IUP link. They can use the Apple Store app and chooses the payment and still pickup the phone tomorrow.

DAMN IT, 7+ 128gb available first time at my local AS but not in matte black or JB :/

Rose Gold is the only color you will get. Why the F are there so many Rose Golds? I know it probably the least popular color, but compared to the zero stock of 256GB Pluses (and other models) of other colors, there are an inordinate amount of Rose Golds being produced.

I wish Apple would just make one d@mn color and concentrate on that.

What if they decided to make that one color Rose Gold?

If you are doing an IUP then you can do the reservation under her number and pick it up and do your SSN for the payments. Then make sure they do not turn it on in the store and swap sims when you get home.

I literally spent over 4 hours at the Apple Store yesterday which included a 45 minute break to run back to work for a meeting and then back again.

It was an absolute cluster.

With that being said, none of that was Apple's fault but the battle between TMobile and ATT to port my number as I had to go through the process multiple times and my Apple rep had to make multiple calls which I thanked him greatly for.

He was as annoyed as me and I even offered to just pay for it outright and lets move on and he said "we can't let them win!!"

Sure enough, in hour 4 we finally got someone competent to port the numbers over, activate NEXT, and get my ip7+ black phone activated and ready to go.

It just goes to show mileage varies and the luck of the draw of which apple rep you get as this guy was an absolute superstar and he wasn't letting me leave that store without that phone. I watched so many people come and go eyeing my phone as it was the last black ip7+ in the store and reserved it just in time.

All in all, a crazy whirlwind of a day yesterday and now I am enjoying this beautiful phone and wish everyone the best at reserving theirs today. Keep checking nonstop throughout the day. I checked at 1201am, 801am, and then every 15-30 minutes randomly throughout the morning and BAM, around noonish they had a huge stock at my north texas location.

So before I confirm this reservation and drive two hours to a store...I don't have to do the IUP, I CAN tell them I want to use Next correct?

That's the thing - there's no way to guarantee they will do it. Its supposed to be allowed, but some specialists have been complete d1cks about it and refused to do it.

This is the route I been trying to go all week. Can you confirm if required to pay up front and if required to provide account info if paying in full like it was for preorders. Haven't been able to find confirmation on these two questions

I honestly had no problems. Most of us here haven't had problems. There have been a couple instances of it happening, but that isn't very common.

I had planned out what I would have said to them if they tried to fight me on it. Something along the lines of showing them the verbiage in my email, telling them that it's probably the right move to just follow corporates guidelines and what we were told in the email. If all of that failed, I did used to work for Apple and I have no problem pulling that card. I know how the point of sale system works in the store. Really, just about anything can be accomplished. Now if there's an issue on your account, that's a different story, but otherwise... you should be good to go.
If they tried to turn me down, I'd be having them get other people on the phone... cause at that point, screw the phone, I just want to be treated correctly. Lol.
You have two hours to drive each way. That sucks. I had to spend four and a half total in Pittsburgh rush hour traffic to and from the store lol. I was definitely having a beer the second I got back home.

I still can't find a freaking T-mobile 7+ phone under IUP that is not rose red or 32gb.
Have you tried the Apple Store app yet?

So last night I used Apple Store app 12:02 and tested "Pickup" available at local Store, but checking out, looks like payment required up front. Also they needed to verify cellular carrier acct info even for paid in full device.

Thanks! Not good option other than checking availability on mobile from time to time if I'm trying to get a cdma device being on T-Mobile

Reserved a 128 GB ATT Matte Black 7 Plus in store yesterday (the Christiana Mall store in Delaware - was a little bit of a drive from suburban PHL, but was repaid in $52 of sales tax savings! It was the only store in the area that had the phone I wanted) and it could not have gone more smoothly. Despite the store being mobbed and people asking desperately for phones that they could not provide, I checked in right away, the phone was brought to me, I said I'd need to go with AT&T Next instead of the iPhone Upgrade Program, and papers were signed and I had my phone within 5 minutes. They even printed my Next return label in the store, which made things super easy sending my old phone back.

Never ordering from a carrier again. It's Apple or bust.

The phone's gorgeous too, so glad I didn't wait on a Jet Black - the one in the store was positively vile looking - not just because of the fingerprints, but because the finish looks pretty cheap in person.

AAARGH! I found the phone I want in stock nearby through IUP reservation but when I click "continue" I get to a page that says the system is "currently unavailable"! WTF?

Come on, you gotta be willing to travel one county over.

I would if it comes to that next week. But I am hoping to try for a few more days in LA proper. That is about two hours each way for me - and when some people have had issues at pickup I am hoping for something closer. Next week though, I would suck it up.

FINALLY reserved a 256 matte black plus on t-mobile.. Picking up at 4pm NYC.

I really wanted a 128 though.

Does anyone know...If I purchase the 256 with IUP can I exchange the phone within 14 days for a 128?

Which store? Have been trying to find that model in NYC!
I found a Verizon one but can't complete the reservation (system unavailable).

Has anyone been successful picking up a Sprint iPhone on Sprint Carrier Financing? My local store has what i want and say they can but ive heard of people unable to.
