I did an in store pickup today. Scan went through, saw my new unlimited data line immediately on my verizon account. I did not open the box yet. I want to aol the line and keep the phone. Should I open and activate phone- do a device switch online with my current iPhone? During the aol process they add the other persons device anyways, right? What happens to my old iPhone?

They don't add the other person's device during the AOL process. You should open the phone and activate it. Otherwise the buyer will have a pending activation on their line, which can definitely cause issues.

I ordered a new IPhone 6 online (added a line to my NATIONWIDE TLK&TXT SHARE 700 plan and selected Unlimited Iphone data). Picked up the phone, sealed box. Got home, turned on phone. Activated. Looked at My Verizon. New line shows having unlimited data, but when clicking "View Contract End Date", the popup shows:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Contract End Date: 09/28/2016
Data Contract End Date*: 09/28/2016
* A data plan (minimum of $30/month) is required for your data contract term
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
So, I'm confused. I have unlimited data for $29.99, but it says I need a $30 data plan? Does anyone else see this? Should I return and try again? Thanks for your help!

Yep. 3 of my lines all say that too. Don't worry you are good. #

So my new iPhone6+ with a new UDP line is due to arrive via ship to home on Thursday. Saaaweet!

Three Questions for the collective wisdom here:

1. Currently I have a 4S on my line that I am hoping to switch the device over to once I get it activated. Should I order a nano sim for my current line that I use the 4s on? Or once I get it activated would I be able to just call and ask them to swap devices on the lines?

2. If you were me would you chance it with the sim it comes with or would you get a 4G phone up and running on my current UDP line I'm using the 4S on now and then do the imeyers method instead?

3. I believe there is one recorded ship to home successful activation with the sim it comes with, but everyone else appears to have done the sim change via imeyers method. Is that correct or have more done it successfully without swapping?

Thanks for the help!

Can someone help me out with getting an unlimited data plan for my iPad? Will the wifi hotspot on the iPad work with unlimited data? Please message me if you have an unlimited line you can transfer to me

It will work fine if you are jailbroken or pay extra and I will have one unlimited line that I must sale by the end of the week

Didn't iMeyer say you can do it without having to activate. Not trying to contradict you, just trying to get clarification because I'm doing the same. Logically, I would think there would be a pending activation on the line. Can you go through the Verizon website and activate that way or do you have to open the box to activate it.

Actually, you don't need to pay extra for the hotspot if you put the sim into an iPad

the phone line is "activated" out the door at the Apple store. Otherwise you wold see you have a pending order all over VZW.com!

I cannot PM you for some reason but I am definitely interested in the unlimited data plan line. Please get back to me.

I have a line if you (or anyone else) are interested. I can't PM you either though. Do you have Enable Private Messaging set to ON in your user profile?

Anyone want a free unlimited data line?? PM me

Is the market that bad now or your just feeling generous? :p

Anybody ever had to exchange a phone? My phone is defective, it won't activate with any sim card. When trying to exchange, it's prompting them to choose a data plan. Of course unlimited is not an option. So, is this always the case with an exchange or is it just because my phone was never activated? If anyone has ever done an exchange please let me know if they had to choose a new data plan. Thx

I believe that you can't get private messages on this site till you have a certain number of post to prevent people from spamming

That's correct but since I pass the criteria, I assumed the other person's setting must be OFF.

They absolutely can activate the other persons phone if you ask during the process. The guy I had wasn't a VZW customer, so we held the rep on the phone while he set up his my verizon account to show his new plan. They will do anything you ask them too.

Since you want to keep the phone, the best and easiest thing to do is open the box take the SIM out and put yours in. Then the phone will be on your line with your number, no work. Also if you AOL the line to a local person you can give them the SIM that goes to the line.
