I have an order ready to be picked up at Apple Store, but I can't pick up until Saturday. Does anyone know how long do they hold it for?

I placed a store pickup order on Sept 24 that was picked up on Sept 27 with no problem. I receied an e-mail on Sept 26 stating that if I didn't pick up by Oct 5, they would call me to "arrange another pickup date". It would seem they give you about a week and a half before trying to contact you and find out what's up.

Has anyone in this forum ordered a iPhone 6/6+ with UDP and UNLIMITED TEXT options selected for a new line on their existing 1400 Family Voice Share Plan (No unlimited TXT) and was able to activate successfully? This is referring to activating a phone from a home delivery, not store pickup.

I added a new line with UDP and UNLIMITED TEXT for my iPhone 6+ that is being delivered today and wondering if I should just cancel the order and refuse shipment. Please help! It took forever to get the iphone 6+.

Thanks.

Single individual lines or Family ?

700 minute Family share, with 250 texts for the new line.
My plan looks like
Line 1 - 5s - UDP, Grandfathered (upgraded with Best Buy over the summer)
Line 2 - iPhone 6+ UDP, Grandfathered (upgraded with Best Buy over the summer)
Line 3 - iPhone 5s - UDP through Apple Store on the 19th
Line 4 - iPhone 6 - UDP through Apple Store today

We transferred 2 dumb phones to a sub-account earlier this week, so, there's room for more UDP lines

I've been on this thread for almost 2 weeks and haven't heard of the unlimited text plans working. I'm not sure about home delivery. I'd suggest trying it, and if it doesn't work returning the phone and starting over. I have been successful twice with adding the 250 texts plan with in store pickup which seems to be very successful for most people.

If only I can find a Gold iPhone 6 Plus 64 gb... i'd do this right away....

Then place an order at apple before this is dead:D:apple:

The other day I went in to pick up an iPhone, and like tottenj the Apple rep wanted to call Verizon, unfortunately I couldn't talk him out of it. He calls them and they tell him just to verify identity (which he already had done), but after I walk out I discover they've switched it from unlimited to 2GB plan. I returned the phone, and cancelled the line. I tried to add another line before leaving (the Apple store was a bit of a drive), but it keeps telling me I've hit the maximum number of lines for my account. The Apple employee really didn't want to have a phone he couldn't sell (since it'd been activated at that point) so he tried doing it on his handheld device and it was letting him start add a line there (of course their handheld doesn't have the same advantages that online does in terms of plan selection). I leave, and it's been 4 days since then and the online site still tells me I have the maximum amount of lines for the account. Verizon's website also prominently shows 'Add a line' when I'm logged in. (There is only 1 line on it.) Only the Apple website is throwing back that I've reached my maximum number of lines.

Any ideas?

Too quick on the trigger. I guess if anyone else needs one, let me know. Only have until tomorrow though before it goes back

Good luck I am going to wait it out till day #13 if I don't sell it hopefully the market recovers after the news yesterday

If you can't activated it with the unlimited text plan, then choose the 250 text plan for now, activate it, then call and have them add unlimited text feature to your plan. If you're worried about them seeing your udp line, I called to have them add 1000 text feature just last week without them noticing.

Check your order status in the email they sent you. If it doesnt say "pickup cancelled" you should try calling 800myapple

You can try returning it to an apple store for faster service but from apple.com
Bring your item to an Apple Store

You can always return the item to any U.S. Apple Retail Store. An Apple Specialist will assist you with your return. Your refund will be processed at that time. To locate an Apple Store in your area, please refer to the Apple Retail Store Locator.

Note: An iPhone purchased on the Apple Online Store is ineligible for return to an Apple Retail Store.

I haven't had to do a full purchase-activation and return. I have returned/cancelled the pickup (before activation) at the apple store without a hitch even though the purchase was at apple.com for an in store pickup.

i had the same shipped to home, could not activate. did you pick up at the store?

i had one pickup with a bad SIM that didn't activate. Thankfully, the line was already added by the in-store scanner. I think it's really dependent on your luck.

No I had it shipped and activated it with the included sim and it worked great:D Now to sell this extra unlimited line and I will be cooking with gas

Did you choose unlimited text plan? Did your line show up in Verizon account before you activated it?

Today I received my phone ordered from Apple.com with new line UDP. While ordering I choose unlimited text which seems to get me in trouble. Also I requested my landline phone number to be transferred to this new line. I just now got email from my landline phone company that my account is cancelled which means number is now ported to Verizon but line is not yet activated. Now if I decide to return the phone because I would not get unlimited data plan then would I be able to get my phone number back to my landline company? How to make sure my transferred number is not lost during this process?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
