Says "This device is suspended". When I press on the line it says "service for this device is currently suspended". And there's a button right next to it saying Reconnect.
Well you could hit reconnect and see what happens - it may d/c the line or reconnect it. But idk - the safest route is to get Verizon to finish the job and add a new line via apple.com.

I also think you should take it back. Even if your able to upgrade, the only method would be the bestbuy method and then you take the risk of having a pending activation on a "legitimate" UDP line. Take it back and start over.
That is a VERY good point - if you end up with the pending activation you may end up giving your buyer problems.

Get Verizon to finish canceling the line.

I think I'm just going to call apple and have them close the account. Smartest thing to do I think.

You did it or someone else?

----------

The phone is unlocked out the box

----------

So he or someone contacted verizon at some point ??

The way I understand is that the phone is now out of contract with Verizon, that why I say unlocked. Apple was calling Verizon. What will be safest way to put this iphone on his old UDP line without risking UDP?

So he paid the contracted price and Apple rep then let him keep the phone without a contract tied to it? Damn now Apple is a unnamed co defendant

Means they asked me to pick a data plan, so I picked up their device from the table and... Picked my data plan
Oh, so they gave you the option of looking at the data plans on their device and selecting one, nice!!!!!

There is no issue with this phone as it was not purchased using his old UDP line's upgrade. He can log into Verizon and click activate or switch a device, select his old UDP line and then select activate a phone that has been on this account before - it should show in the drop down menu. If not select that the device has not been on the account before, type in the IMEI and continue to follow directions.

What phone is on his UDP line now?

I wonder if I could do the in store trick to get iPhone 6's now as I reached my limit of of 6's the pick up in store method.

Got it, no I meant I thought there was a limit of 10 iPhone 6's per household, no?

Yes that's what I heard but the other poster who picked it up in store kept getting cancellation emails but when he did it in store looks like he was able to get one. Idk...

Hey guys and girls,

I posted last night about being unable to activate iphones at the apple store with apple.com pickup. I called Verizon CS again today and after waiting for a supervisor was told my account was flagged for fraud. I cannot add or AOL any more lines. I asked a bunch of questions but they didn't have any specific information about why or how to remove the block. They kept saying it was being investigated and that is all they know. No way to appeal or contact them about the fraud block. They said they have the right to basically due anything including canceling my service at any time blah blah blah. I can only imagine this is from too many AOL's and new Iphones bought on a family plan. They did say I had an unusual amount of activity and notes on my account from the past 2 weeks. They told me to look over the Verizon Customer Agreement and see if I was in violation of anything.

Here it is
http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/support/customer-agreement

Word for word it says this

We can, without notice, limit, suspend or end your Service or any agreement with you for any good cause, including, but not limited to: (1) if you: (a) breach this agreement; (b) resell your Service;

My thoughts are this. They obviously know about this glitch because I've had Verizon CSR's and AOL reps comment that the new unlimited data lines in my account are 'impossible'. But like the Best Buy method and other weird workarounds that have been working for 2+ years, they don't care or it's not worth their time to fix whatever computer code is allowing a few people to renew their unlimited data plans or add a line or 2 to their account. They probably DO care when you start trying to make money on subsidized phones and AOL the unlimited plans to random people. Whether they can prove you sold the line or gave it away for free probably doesn't matter. They might lock your account whenever it flips some trigger or you get a certain AOL agent that sees you have transferred X amount of unlimited data plans with 2 year contracts.

If I can, I'm going to port my number and a few family members numbers out of Verizon in case they close the account. Probably a good idea for you guys that want to keep doing this. I made a few bucks and I think we all know this has some risks and won't last forever. Plus I'm still worried that someone I AOL'd a line to won't want to pay for it any more and involve Verizon, Ebay, Paypal or even small claims court. I'll keep you fellow hustlers updated on what happens with my account.
