I only have 3 single lines. When I try to add a line on apple.com I get a message saying I have the maximum number of lines allowed on this type of account
So 3 Nationwide Individual lines? How many minutes and texts on each line? Are all 3 lines in the main account or is one in a subaccount?

They said they have the right to basically due anything including canceling my service at any time blah blah blah.
This is basically true except they can't do it for an illegal reason - race, religion, etc.

I can only imagine this is from too many AOL's and new Iphones bought on a family plan. They did say I had an unusual amount of activity and notes on my account from the past 2 weeks.
While I can see activity tripping a flag, I can't see what the notes have to do with anything.

Plus I'm still worried that someone I AOL'd a line to won't want to pay for it any more and involve Verizon, Ebay, Paypal or even small claims court.
They have no recourse if they chose to assume liability and accepted Verizon's T&C's, which they have to do to AOL a line.

any reason why the apple site is still allowing this? its been almost a month and no fix. Maybe verizon wants this to continue since it gets an increase in new lines and new contracts?

Can someone please list the voice and text options available to be added with udp lines. Thanks
Are you asking for prices?

this has been discussed here many times. We are right in the middle of the iPhone launch, do you think Apple is going to let them make changes to their ordering system right in the middle of the iPhone launch?

Price would be nice but more importantly the actually voice and text options. I believe with voice its 450, 700, 1400, unlimited ? Text is pay per use all the way to unlimited. Not sure what's in between.

For texting it is pay as you go, 250 for $5/mo per line, 1000 for $10/mo per line or unlimited for the entire plan for $30/mo.

This is the single line rate plan but many people can't add a line to it:

yes they do. I'm considering doing a family plan but not sure because I'm planning on selling the lines soon anyway
You have 3 options:

1) Merge all 3 lines into a family plan;
2) Merge 2 lines into a family plan and leave 1 an individual plan; or
3) Create a subaccount and move 1 individual line into the subaccount, then turn 1 line into a family share plan with only 1 line on it and that family share plan can be in the main account along with the other individual line.

You can only have a family share plan and 1 individual line in your account according to VZW AOL dept - the other individual line would need to be in a subaccount.

Also - this doesn't apply to you but 2 family plans cannot be in the same main account, 1 must go into a subaccount.

There was a 250 message for $5/mo text plan but IIRC, anyone who picked that ended up with a line that wouldn't activate. Same if you picked the free unlimited texting plan.

So there is no way to get the 450 minute plan if someone is only taking one line in an aol?

Wouldn't it be easier if einmusicker just makes the whole thing a family plan? Especially if he's just going to sell them off. Depending on how long he holds on to them he may have two bills to remember to pay

Yes, this is no problem.

I've transferred over lines individually, with the 450 minutes plan, and ive done it with a family plan, where the recipient needs to choose their plan, and 450 minutes is an option.

Did you get my email? ;)

I did and will respond to your business venture soon but you may not like the answer CAUTION TO THE WIND.

Thanks for that piece of info btw. 450 min option.

You have 2 options:

1) split the line off of your family share plan b/f you aol it and then you convert it to an individual plan - it will aol as an individual plan; or
2) after you aol the line, the buyer can convert it to an individual plan.

If it were me, I would go with option #1 b/c some of these reps are idiots and can screw it up for your buyer and they can manually change them off of UDP then the buyer will cause a fuss with you.

You can have 1 family share and 1 individual line per account and subaccount so this shouldn't be an issue for you.

Yes, I forgot that option.

So does that entail splitting the line off and then converting it to a 450 minute plan? That is what the AOL department told me is how to do it.

I've only met idiot Att TOB reps. Zero verizon aol reps. Knock on wood

Some of the lines have been individual lines that already had the 450 minutes plan set up, that was a straight AOL.

The other ones were already on a family plan, so once they were transferred, the recipient has an option to either add it to their existing plan, or set up a new voice plan. Mine have all added theirs i believe.

Thanks - I was told if they don't merge them, they will AOL as single line family share plans. After that I guess they can downgrade them to individual lines?

Been reading SD and this thread for the past month. Thank you everyone for all the information (especially julesjam, it's hard not to find a page you aren't on).

I am going to add an udp line on apple.com. I am more interested in keeping the Iphone 6+ and giving it to my girlfriend so she can use it on her current line keeping her UDP. I will then trade in her Iphone 4 to receive the $200 trade in credit.

She is currently on her family plan and doesn't feel comfortable doing any of the other methods such as the BB method.

I was wondering if anyone would want to take over the UDP that I will be adding. I'm only asking for enough to offset the cost of taxes and other fees.

Trying to sell for $150. Can't PM yet cause I'm a new member but please respond here with an email if you're interested. This would be my first time doing an AOL so hopefully someone with knowledge could walk me through and benefit from this line.

What are they doing?!?!?!!?!?!?

The person I sold it to said that the reps he spoke to (or maybe it was the 3rd rep he spoke to who happens to be the rep who generated the email to accept the contract terms) said that once he accepts the udp will go away SMH

My guy had to send them a copy of his ID and SSN. He mentioned it will take 2 days for review, but I checked myverizon and the line was already removed.
