Definitely a strange pre order for me , got a 256gb order off super fast and it hit me back with nov 10-17 I felt crapped out thinking this is the first iPhone I won't have on launch so I found my local bestbuy 45 mins later still had a launch day pickup for a 64 gb .. so im probably going to use the 64 for a week to calm myself down lol
256GB Space Gray. 11/17-24. Since I'm on a family plan with my brother. I had to call and get my sister-in-law's SSN at midnight. Then pick up for 11/3 was either account holder or authorized user. Wouldn't worry about that except they live 2 hours away! By the time I thought about all of this, all pick up was gone.
Eventually I just shipped to family member's house since I'll be there that week for Thanksgiving and was on a work trip and wouldn't have anyone to sign for it. Well I saved $6.50 due to lower sales tax though. Woo hoo! (rolling eyes)

At this point I'm pretty sure that all T-Mobile iPhones run out of stock within seconds on Apple's website. I kept refreshing both the iPhone app and the website every 3 seconds and the app finally came up at 00:05. Placed my pre-order within seconds (had the iPhone saved into favorites and my billing info updated the night before + Touch ID, so no password entry).
Got a Nov 10 - Nov 17 delivery window. Slightly disappointed but it could've been worse (last year's jet black 7+ was a nightmare).

Thats what happened to me. I have an email confirmation for 00:04, but shows Nov 10 - 17. I was so quick, I could have done in-store for November 3, but wasn't thinking....I just wanted it done. I regret that now. Could have easily gotten release day. FYI, I too ordered the Silver 256GB T-Mobile.
I have literally no signs my order happened other than a screenshot I took of the order complete screen with the order number. Did it via iUP in the app.
In-Store wasn't available for T-Mo. It was for nearly an hour for the Verizon versions. I grabbed a verizon version for in-store pickup as my 2 pre-ordered T-Mo versions are Nov10-17

Went into the app on my favorites to order my phone (256 Silver) and selected the Apple upgrade program. Well I didn’t know you needed to have a credit card in order to enroll. Debit cards do not work. I wasn’t aware of this (my own fault I should have researched). I go back and in store pickup for my area is all sold out (5/6 stores in my area) and shopping time slipped to 2-3 weeks.
Continued trying via ATT Next and the app struggled to get info for minutes...finally went through with an estimated delivery of 12/3-12/15. What a huge disappointment

I think I got that screen too at the beginning but didn't look at it. Hopefully it still is but not holding my breath

Eventually, got in and set the order on both the iOS app and the Apple website (neither would load until about 12:10 though). However, after trying about 20 times, neither the app nor the website could connect to Verizon and verify my carrier data. So I ended up ordering through the Verizon page, which to their credit did work without issue, but it sucks because by then the shipping date slipped to Nov. 15 and also you can't add AppleCare when ordering through Verizon -- now I'll have to get AppleCare for 2 phones separately.
So thanks for yet another iPhone launch crap show, Apple. Yeah, I know there's a lot of people who want to order, but the fact that one of the richest and smartest companies in the world still can't seem to get these things to work right (or at the very least display non-cryptic error and status messages) is ridiculous.

I’m leaving both orders open for now. I have an AT&T order open with a nov 3 delivery and .com order open with a nov 17-24 th delivery date. Did that many people decide not to do carrier sites this year?
Got my confirmation about 20 minutes after ordering.
