Nov 10 or 10-17?
I ordered ATT SG through Apple and received processing email at 3:06 am but no charge on my card. But after 45 minuets I received a notification from my Bank of pending charges. I think you will see your charges soon.
 
I just got an email and a text from AT&T stating "Good news! Your order is almost ready to ship." Delivery date is still "by November 3." My order through Apple shows "Order in Progress" and Nov 17-24 as the delivery date. What is strange is that I also got an email from Apple that they are holding my reservation, so it could be possible to get my Apple delivery on Nov 3 if they ever process the reservation. Or, I can call Apple and see if they can merge the two orders into one. Guess I have some time to see how it all will play out.
 
Anyone know how to change the shipping address? My boyfriend is an IUP member and his shipping address got pulled from the account rather than his Apple Pay address that he thought it would go to... any suggestions welcome! Thanks!
log into apple.com with your apple id. you can do it there. Getting mine sent to work, but the address was missing my company name and suite #. Fixed it there.
 
I ordered the X 256 GB Silver AT&T through the Apple store. Estimated delivery 2-3 weeks. Apple forced me to use the billing address on my AT&T account for delivery, which is my brother's house almost 2 hours away from me. Has anyone ever had luck with changing the shipping address to be something other than your account billing address? I'd rather it just be delivered to my apartment in Charlotte, NC :)

Ordered last night, or this morning as soon as the app opened for IUP upgrade, Black 256 arriving November 23rd. Ordered my wife's when at&t opened about 15 minutes early, release date as well.
 
Pretty happy with how my ordering experience went last night. I had the Apple store app running on both my iPad and iPhone as well as the AT&T app running on my phone. Watched the countdown clock on the AT&T app go down and then I was put in the que with a 19 minute wait! I knew that wasn’t going to cut it so I kept reloading the Apple store apps. The app on my phone loaded first and I was able to get through my order pretty quickly. Got my order confirmation email three minutes after the hour and have a November 3rd delivery date for my 64gb space grey iPhone X! Can’t wait.
 
Figured I'd get my story into the universe and vent once again about how ridiculous it is to have carriers involved in any of this process when paying full price outright for an iPhone directly from Apple.

Refreshed the app over and over, didn't finally let me in until around 3:07am Eastern. Already had the model I wanted favorited and ready to go (iPhone X Silver 256GB on Verizon paid in full). But then I ran into the "carrier verification" BS even though I was paying full price directly to Apple. I put in the phone/zip/SSN#, then was prompted for my Verizon PIN. I put in what I remembered it being, but it kept failing. I assumed the issue was Verizon's verification servers being overwhelmed. I tried on the website instead (took a while for that to come up). After repeating the same process and failing again, I then vaguely remembered I changed my Verizon PIN back in July when it was announced that they had been compromised. By time I got the correct PIN in and my order completed it was about 3:15am and the shipping had already slipped to 2-3 weeks. Ultimately my fault, sure I accept my slip in memory at 3 in the morning. Problem is, it should never have been a problem because having the carrier involved in this process at all is completely unnecessary. And my normal PIN would've been fine if they hadn't been compromised. /end rant.

That said, it could've been worse, and I'm hoping that as with other launches in the past (such as Apple Watch S0 that said I wouldn't get it for several weeks but it still delivered day one) the 2-3 week quota is being over cautious and it will still come sooner.


Agree 200% on this. Having to wait for carrier verification on 3/4 models... PLUS not having a Sim free model available for those of us who buy unlocked full price phones really pisses me off.

I'm a Project FI and T-Mobile user, but I signed up for a Verizon account because I wanted at least 1 phone that covers all the CDMA bands for some of my travels in Asia. The fact I had to jump through all those hoops to buy a full-price no-commitment unsubsidized phone is insane.

I don't care if they charge $100 more for the Verizon/Sprint model full price, just don't make us jump through all the stupid hoops!!!
 
My quick story.

Was in bed, refreshing the app over and over till :07 and it didn't work.

Went to apple.com and it loaded. Purchased a 256 GB Space Gray Verizon for Nov 3 shipment email at :08.
Immediately went back to apple.com and added a 256 GB Silver Verizon for my wife also Nov 3 Shipment email at :10

All in all, really smooth, the apple.com site worked great with apple pay. Luckily I remembered the last 4 of SSN and PIN ahead of time for Verizon.
 
I got my order in quick through the Apple store app, with cell service through AT&T.

I didn’t notice a spot to choose my shipping address, and so it defaulted to my home address.

Has anyone had any luck changing their shipping address to their work address after the preorder went through?

Part of me doesn’t want to potentially mess up that Nov. 3rd delivery date but I’d rather not stay home that day if I don’t have to.

For those picking up in store on launch day has the card been charged yet or should I expect it to go past the "we're processing your order" email any time soon?
 
Wtf is this?? Apple app took forever to finally refresh, then it kept giving me an error when confirming my Verizon info (which I already previously set up and linked to my account). Then it finally just gave me this screen.

Damnit.
I think the only way to get a TMO phone on Nov 3rd was store pickup option. I was in right at 3:02am, and it showed delivery Nov 10, but store pickup on Nov 3rd. I selected store pickup and then it asked me to choose a 30 minute pickup window. Did anyone order a TMO phone with delivery of Nov 3, or did you have to choose store pickup to get it on Nov 3?
 
So I set my Alarm (east coaster) for 2:45 am. Found out as I was doing that, I have a preset alarm on my iPhone called New iPhone! I might have done this before:)

Waited for 3:01 to arrive with my phone opening and closing (with the double tap -flick method) for the Apple store to come up in the Store App. I had pre-saved my device (iPhone X Silver 256Gb) in my favorites as is the custom. Got in almost immediately after 3:01,maybe something like 30 to 40 seconds after 3:01. Pulled my phone out of the favorites and placed the order. It returned instantly with the "we can't reach your carrier message (ATT). Got my Reservation Number. Went back to bed.

Got back up at 8:00 and checked for my email to proceed. None. Noticed that Apple said they would email me at tdar, Not tdar@something.com- figured that I needed to check this out. Indeed I did. Apple has changed the requirements for Apple ID's and my original one (the one I use for the store that is from 2001, now has a ID that is not supported. You now HAVE to use a email address. So I fixed that.

I still did not see my email to proceed.

I went to the buy iPhone Web site and they were ready to complete my order. First thing I noted was that they had recorded my payment method wrong. I was going to pay in full ( I thought that would be the fastest way to order and get a Nov 3rd delivery.) Now it was set as ATT Next. I have no problem with that as in fact if offers me more options, so I went ahead with it and now have a completed order and do have a November 3rd delivery date.

So other than a few things that did not go as planed (both having to deal with ATT) not all that bad. One other note though- I checked right before typing this (9:00 am EST) on the ATT app and could order an upgrade with the same phone specs I ordered through Apple that I had to get up in the middle of the night to order, and had a delivery date of Nov 2-10!

Now to pin flightradar24.com so I can start checking those flights!
 
The Sprint Flex lease direct from Sprint did not require Applecare to be built in like the Apple.com site. We had to go with Sprint direct due to the credit approval having an 8 hour error then declining due to being unable to verify identity 10 minutes into the ordering. A second phone purchase resulted in the unable to contact carrier, so it never would proceed to that point.

As much as I wanted to go direct through Apple, this time they gave me too many issues surprisingly.

You're a "2nd year" IUP user - right? I hear it not that simple starting a new IUP as a first-timer.. right?

Same problem here! Were you able to change it online? I keep getting a message that's says I'm ineligible for changes online and need to get in contact with someone at Apple (which we know is not going to happen today).
