Hey guys ordered through Apple.com, first time preordering an iPhone. My Delivery date as of now is Nov 10-17. I used Apple pay for it. Last night in my wallet app, my card showed the pending charge, but it wasn't on my card website as a charge. This morning my wallet app shows a 0.00 charge pending for my card. I have got a email confirmation and the order status on Apple says "In Progress" which was "order placed yesterday" so it has changed. Should i be worried? I am paying for it outright, so I don't know how it all works. Thanks
 
So I ordered my iPhone X on the Apple Store App at 8:03 GMT and was able to secure launch day delivery... My iPhone X has already been charged to my bank card and is now preparing to ship. Usually in the UK it doesn't do this until a few days before launch, so I'm guessing they're shipping most from China?
 
Got into apple.com at about 12:09am and figured it was too late to get one at launch. By the time I got to checkout with a TMO 64GB Space Gray the status said 'ships in 2-3 weeks'. I checked pick-up availability and one store near me had the option to pick up Nov. 3. Picked a time slot, went to check out and was done by 12:10am. By 12:14am not one store in the socal area had the pick-up option available.
 
Ordered this morning and credit card has been charged but haven’t got a confirmation mail and my order is not showing on the app. Is this normal?
 
How is it that Apple ship times have increased so fast, but carriers are still promising launch day deliveries? Wtf? Something seems off.

Kinda had the same question. Want to make sure the order went through and my provider didn’t think the $0.00 was fraudulent on my card.
 
Yeah, I did as well. Got the same message on the screen when I placed my order at 3:08am. Not sure if I will be picking up or delivered at this point. the email and status really does not say much.

Has anyone gotten the 2nd email yet?

However, after I got the message, I tried to put in another order, and it went through. So, I am going to ignore the above e-mail and let it expire. I already have "Order in Progress" on my other order through Apple.
 
I ordered three phones:
Silver 256GB - Nov 3
Silver 256GB - 2-3 weeks
Black 256 GB 2-3 weeks

When ordering the second phone, the credit card wouldn't go through. Even though its the same card as the first phone. Eventually I made it work with Apple Pay although I ended up with the wrong shipping address (office instead of home).

I'm now thinking I may flip the first phone and keep the second two. However the first phone I ordered on AT&T NEXT. Do you think Apple will let me change the order to pay in full without having to lost my delivery date?
 
Just once I would like staying up til 3:00, being completely prepared, and hammering refresh to result in getting launch day delivery.

I had Nov. 3 when I clicked continue...but thanks to 10 minutes of errors when trying to verify the AT&T part...it was 2-3 weeks by the time I hit the cart. That is utter BS. That inventory should have been reserved for me the moment I clicked Continue and started the process, until I finished checkout or a timeout occurred. Really not a good way of handling it, at all. People who were after me in line absolutely got early delivery than me.

Interesting, I have not gotten anything yet. And when I check on my reservation number, it is still saying that ATT is not working yet, and I will get email.

Really curious if I will get launch day...

That stinks man -- just have to be patient and trust the system to work.

Sounds like AT&T really dropped the ball last night while Verizon kicked some booty. I feel bad some of you had that crap experience.

I ordered at 1203am PST with the Apple Store app and used Apple Pay to check out and I have a delivery date of November 3rd. I have a confirmed order number that is indicating Order in Progress with a pending charge on my card. Only issue is that somehow my shipping and billing addresses were switched in Apple Pay to where the address I wanted it shipped is set as my billing address, and my billing address is now incorrect. I’ve tried changing it on my order page and it is telling me to call but they aren’t taking phone calls or online chat support requests right now.

Does this mean my order will be automatically cancelled since my billing address is incorrect?

This is what I'm trying to figure out too lol. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to give more stock allotted to the carriers...I have two orders one with ATT delivery date is "guaranteed" and one with Apple that I ordered 2 hours prior to my ATT order with a delivery date of 11/17-11/24. Lets see who ships first.

Seriously, T-Mobile still has 11/3 dates on all models (LOL WHAT??) and my Apple Order from this morning was also in the 11/17-11/24 window.
 
Apple Website came up for me at 12:04AM Central US Time. Apple App didn’t come up until later about 12:10AM or so.

Used the website to order 2 ATT 64GB Gray. I placed the first order at 12:07AM then the 2nd order at 12:12AM as a separate order as it kept asking for current phone number so had to place each number in for ATT verification thus the separate orders.

Either way even at 5 minutes apart both phones are schedule to arrive on Nov 3.

Couldn't get the webpages to open, by the time I got in I got the message that an iPhone had been reserved after checking the pickup in store option, and that I would receive an email to complete. I assumed this meant that an iPhone had been reserved for in-store pickup since that was my original choosing, boy was I wrong!!! Now I get in to complete and its saying all in-store pickup is unavailable and now I have the dreaded 1-2 week pick up. Anybody know if it would be possible to still pick-up in store? Seems like VZW 64GB in Silver was only available 1-2 weeks out from the beginning of pre-sale because this was the delivery window that had been showing since the beginning.

sounds like you went through apple.....their site was a joke to order from.....alot of people went through Carrier sites and got release day deliveries......not really sure why people still try to beat the masses going through apple...its a crap shoot...
 
att did an amazing job, if you went through their website within first 30mins atleast...you got release day delivery date...atleast with the bigger models :)


I would not trust any of the carriers on the dates they provided after ordering. They have been known to show launch day ship dates upon ordering only to go back and adjust those dates out.
