I preordered last night within about 15 minutes of opening. New IUP signup and I got the "we can't make a decision on your application now." I got an email 3.5 hours later saying my order was unable to be processed. When I just did another order now, I have a 5 week minimum wait time :(
 
Kicking myself for choosing the nov17-24 delivery instead of nov. 3 store pickup.

I didn’t want to drive to the store but now I realize I just want my phone ASAP
 
You guys in the US are lucky. Seems more stock was allocated for the US.

In HK, as soon as I got online it already showed 3 to 4 weeks delivery.

Stock got sold out in 15mins. IReserve was only available for 1 min.

Luckily I have 2 iPhone X ordered from my carrier which I should get in the first week.
 
Not sure how people get in so early. The last few models I've ordered using the app I never get in until atleast 10+ minutes after the slated release. I started closing/opening the app well before 12:00. Ended up getting through around 12:10 but had to repeatedly keep trying to verify my account to AT&T, continuing the checkout, and complete my order via Apple Pay. Nov 17-24.

Same thing every year, I think I'm going back to orderering through AT&T next year since I always used to be able to get release day phones.

I ordered at 00:16PST -- that's when I could actually access the store. It's a Silver AT&T 256GB phone. The window is 11/17-11/24. The status just went from Order Placed to Order in Progress. I am irritated because not everyone, including me, could access the ordering site or store app at 00:02 like a lot of people. However, I'm happy that I'm getting my phone in November. I can wait an extra couple weeks :)

Oh yeah, and I ordered this on the Next program. Apple Store already sent me a copy of the AT&T Next agreement via e-mail.
 
Ordered at 12:05 from app store, every time I went to checkout, it would kick me out. My order was still there and it gave me no reason, why I had got kicked. I didn't get my ordered confirmed until, 12:17 with shipping dates between November 17-24. First time this has ever happened to me getting kicked out and having to start over. Anybody else?

Has anyone had any luck changing their shipping address to their work address after the preorder went through?

Part of me doesn’t want to potentially mess up that Nov. 3rd delivery date but I’d rather not stay home that day if I don’t have to.

you can change your delivery address once your order change to Order in Progress, i just did this myself and the date is still showing Nov. 3rd
 
I ordered the iPhone X thru the AT&T NEXT plan with Apple's store app. I was able to get thru after a min or two of refreshing the app. Got the 64GB space grey for a Nov 3 Delivery. Confirmation email and everything. Very happy... and then after I woke up around 6am had an email that said problem with payment. try changing it to different payments and even called bank. They said plenty of money should not be a problem must be on Apples end. So after an hour finally got an email confirming change of payment snd no more payment error on status page so fingers crossed no more glitches but I won't be celebrating till it ships. Now says "Order In Progress Delivers 03 Nov, 2017" :)

I couldn't even get an in store pick up option for the Dallas Metro. My order email came thru at :07
 
My iUP confirmation email finally came at 4:44am EST:

Saddle Brown case comes Nov 1
Silver 64GB comes Nov 3

Had to do store pick up for mine in order to get Nov. 3rd as well. Same deal for shipping and I got in right away and was doing the IUP so it was streamlined even more.
 
Got an email about waiting for carrier systems. Not sure what the issue is. Have a second order with Nov 17 date confirmed just in case also one at AT&T with Nov 3 confirmed. Not sure how to resolve my first order which had this carrier systems issue.
 
Apple store app finally refreshed for me at 2:06, I messed up some carrier info so it longer than usual. Placed order at 2:10 for November 3rd delivery. So excited!

At least these don't seem to be sold out to March. 5-6 weeks of delivery showing right now

I'm in Atlanta, and i think 2 stores in the area still had it available. Dallas and Atlanta probably are about the same for stock numbers. I ordered the BLK 64, maybe the other versions were unavailable? Anyway, I don't think anyone got a TMO unit for shipping delivery of Nov 3. Hopefully the Nov 10 shipments come early.
 
Fo the first time in a long time I was able to place my orders without hiccups!

Store took a couple minutes to be available for me. I noticed when I was ordering that the shipping dates slipped by a week, but picking up at the Store a few blocks away was available for launch day first thing in the AM!

Silver 64GB T-Mobile/GSM Variant
Placed this order as I was waiting for the iOS Apple Store to open up. Might as well keep it and give my S.O. an early XMAS gift.

Did anyone else get the “your iPhone has been reserved. Expect a email after we have reached your carrier to complete you’re order”. I ordered the phone at 12:02. And I’ve been waiting ever since for an email to actually complete my order.
 
Let's put this in a little perspective... last year when I ordered my Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus 128gb at about 12:08am PST on 9/9/16 my delivery window had already slipped to 10/10/17 - 10/17/17.

Just sayin'... last night could have been a lot worse! I'm very happy with how last night went down.

IUP, did the pre-approval a few days ago. Opened the app at 2:01am(central time), still showed the store was down. Kept closing and re-opening the app. At 2:07am I was able to complete my order, got a November 3rd delivery to my home. iPhone X 256GB, Verizon.
After I did that, I went back in to the store app and ordered an Apple iPhone X leather case, will be delivered on 11/1, so 2 days before I get the phone. All set!

Yeah, I did as well. Got the same message on the screen when I placed my order at 3:08am. Not sure if I will be picking up or delivered at this point. the email and status really does not say much.

Has anyone gotten the 2nd email yet?
 
Just wanted to share my experience.
Kept refreshing app/web page about 12:01. Finally got into the web store at 12:07am PST and finished ordering two phones by 12:09AM.
Went with 256gb Silver and Gray for wife and myself. Few of my friends that bought around 12:15AM (ATT) aren't getting their phones for 3-4 weeks.
