Couldn’t get early ship date ? Allocating two sizes, two colors, 4 carriers, store pickup might be better
T-Mobile delay ? Carriers Run Good Bettter Best, a lot needs to be done in their stores
Carriers servers can not verify ? backend issues at least Apple held your place in line
Couldn’t pay ? No debit cards allowed on IUP
Ordered got angry then cancelled ? Adds delays for those that really wanted the product while waiting for reallocation
Got one angry because couldn’t get two or more ? Maybe after the first you should go to the end of the line

I’ve participated every year for launch day events
Far from perfect but each year even for most carriers it’s been getting better

Agreed on all points. I hate that apple sells these carrier phones. They should just sell 1 model and let the carriers deal with their upgrade/payment plan/gimmick of the month programs. Imagine how much faster and easier orders would go if Apple only did full purchase 1 device or their version of the upgrade program.

I am a TMo, my order is scheduled for 11/10-17. I am fine with it. I believe it will be early.

Is it normal that the charge is still not showing up on my credit card website, but it is showing up in my Apple Wallet app? Ordered directly from Apple using Apple pay, payed in full.

Same here. TMO ordered through Apple App and got a confirmation at 1:03am Mountain time. Nov. 10-17. I was hoping for Nov 3 but I'll take that delivery!

Did you track your phone? For example, you saw it was shipping earlier than expected so you knew it was coming earlier, or did it just one day show up at your front door?
 
Like many, I did a pre-order via Apple store app as well as carrier as a backup. With Apple, after only about a minute, shipping date is listed as Nov 10-Nov 17. With my carrier Tmobile they botched my order and finally got it placed nearly 2 hours after it went live, yet shows shipping as Nov 2. How is that even possible? And, how long does one have to cancel an apple pre-order before being charged (paid outright)? Trying to hold out as I have a feeling those Tmobile ship dates are going to slip regardless of them saying the dates are accurate.

I also am holding faith that they will underpromise delivery dates and get it here sooner. I am not expecting it on launch day for sure, but before or at the beginning of this shipping window for sure.

Dont look too much into preparing to ship vs order in progress etc. From prior years we know some ship now and come over from China, some will ship i the coming days and still make 11/3 deliveries, some are already here, some are halfway already on their way.

Obviously if its in the US already there is no need to change your status to preparing to ship a week ahead.

As long as your date is 11/3 youll get it then; peoples' status will change randomly depending on what stock you were allotted from.

We shall see! I will be watching my UPS MyChoice account to see what happens! Always the first thing to get updated.

But someone should be asking Apple what happened. It seems like tmobile users are the only ones with the short end of the stick here.

Ordered mine at 8:05 when the Apple Store App eventually refreshed. Had an email confirmation at 8:06 for a Nov 13th - 20th delivery. How are some people with later confirmation times getting theirs on the 3rd!? Doesn’t seem very fair.

I have a silver 256gb with T-Mobile and a 11/3 date. Ordered at 12:02 and just switched to preparing for shipment.

There is no way that TMo and Sprint still have launch day inventory
 
Hey y'all, ordered last night with Nov 10-17 ship date, but my order is already in progress. Does that mean it will show up sooner?
