I don’t have Any tracking on ups or fedex and my preparing to ship was one of the first ones to pop up. My credit card was charged 1 hour after I placed my preorder

My phones in last pre orders showed preparing to ship until Wednesday or Thursday. It’s brcause it was already stateside and didn’t need to get shipped until closer to Friday. I got it on time. But one year I got my neW 6 on Wednesday 3 days before launch. I was SUPER excited

From past experience, if it’s request to hold at ups hub/CC, it won’t affect the delivery date. But if it’s request to hold at a ups store, it might delay it by one day. One can pick up packages hold at hub/cc as soon as they open in the morning, but may not be the same when it’s a UPS Store.

That’s my understanding too. I’ve never done it though

That's basically what everyone else has, but with another arrival scan after the departure. Don't think yours has left China yet.

As someone mentioned, they're probably piling up in a warehouse waiting for some other phones to come hot off the production line, then they'll be put on a plane and shipped to Shanghai (maybe), Anchorage, Kentucky, and then its final destination.

My order status its “order in progress” and I’m worried, maybe something it’s wrong? I have to call to Apple or my bank ? Anybody it’s in the same status and have a date of Nov 3 for delivery ?

Could possibly be because you have 2 phones in the same order. They are shipped together and if one gets delayed, the other does as well.

Posting this as an FYI.
It seems like there are folks who are in step/stage/state 3 (preparing to ship) but think that their phone has shipped already.
I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble though, just stating what everyone got from Apple.
  • What are the different states of an order?
    1. Order Placed:
      Your order has been placed.
      We’ve received your order and payment information. Though you can’t make changes to your order right now, you’ll be able to when we start preparing your order.
    2. Order In Progress:
      Your order will be available soon.
      We have all the information needed to complete your order. As soon as the item is ready, we’ll send you an update and prepare the shipment. You can still make changes to the order at this point.
    3. Preparing to Ship:
      Your order is being prepared for shipment.
      We’re completing some final details before we ship your order. As soon as it ships, we’ll email you the delivery information. At this point, you can no longer make changes to the order.
    4. Shipped:
      Your order has shipped.
      You can use the "Track Shipment" button to follow your package online. This information will be available within the first 24 hours of shipment.
    5. Shipping to Store:
      Your order has shipped and its on the way to the Apple Store. We'll send you a Pickup Notification email when it’s ready to be picked up. Please wait for that email before coming in.
    6. Ready for Pickup:
      Your item is ready at the Apple Store. When you come to the store, remember to bring the card you used for payment or the order number and a valid photo ID, so we can confirm.
    7. Picked Up:
      Your item has been picked up from the Apple Store.
    8. Delivered:
      Your order was delivered.
      The package has been dropped off at the shipping address specified in your order. If you need to return any part of your order, you can initiate the process online.

I think if an order scheduled for 11.3 is still "in process" atm, you should check if there's anything wrong with the payment etc. Mine was also "in process" until a few hours ago and I was worried. Fortunately an agent from Apple called me to confirm my order. As my original card was declined, I had to provide him another card. After the conversation, my order turned to "preparing to ship".
 
i am a IUP user and mine is set to be picked up at store on 3rd November. its still Order in Progress!!
