I highly doubt there’s any sort of delay. Aside from exceptions, that’s not the ups way. Remember. They don’t scan them individually. There’s bulk scan for all the phones in the batch.
Relax...... :p
I thought they scanned them individually in China so that they know for certain we are all getting iPhones? Then once they actually arrive in the USA it’s a bulk scan ?

Posting this again for visibility. Tracking so far from UPS is completely on par with what I saw last year.

I think Apple seems to be adding batches that are produced to folks (thus we see more people this morning switching from order processing to pts and having their ccs charged) and is shipping them all together on the same day... wether that’s today or tomorrow, we’ll see.

So my card was finally charged this morning. I think we should see something within the next day or so!

Not trying to be mean but no **** will see something the next day or so. Our damn phone is set to be delivered on third. You would have to see some movement before it. If it was two weeks before the due date then it would be different. But obviously two days before due date we will see some movement.

Wow. That’s even later than I figured. So if that happens again this year. We won’t see any movement until dawn (us time) tomorrow or in about 20 hours from now.
I mean really, that makes sense... Because even if it were have left yesterday or something, it just means it will be sitting an extra day somewhere else lol

The good news is once it gets going again, it should keep moving until the destination.

Based on last year, I think we 17-24 folks will start seeing progress (Preparing to Ship, cc charged, UPS tracking by reference #) between evening of Thursday 11/2 and Sunday 11/5 with delivery no later than the 10th.
[doublepost=1509448311][/doublepost]Hmmm...just read this article...all those folks with initial 1 to 2 week windows which got moved to 11/3...if Demand was that high, would that have happened? Either they had more iPhones ready (which the article seems to allude to) or the demand wasn’t as much as is being touted. Either way, Apple is still a master of marketing and creating supply and demand (whether it’s reality or delusion) feeding frenzy.

Or they were being conservative with shipping estimates, which would be smart. Have you seen how many Apple nuts like us there are? It’s better to move up instead of delaying a shipment.

iPhone X review: face the future - The Vergehttps://apple.news/A2g7mOle4QXmD2PUytlZEDQ

Woke up to this! Not as exciting as tracking movement but still enjoyable. Looks like the ball gag has been removed! I’m sure we will be seeing many more in depth reviews coming out today!

View attachment 729513 I think we’re just experiencing delayed ups tracking scans. They probably have 3 million iPhones on different plains shipping at the same time. Some for the carriers and some for Apple. We usually see the scans when they arrive on US soil. So I’m hoping in the morning we will have Alaska scans. Then we know delivery will arrive on time. I just never seen the tentative message for a UPS delivery before. Still says it’s delivering for 11/3 so hope is still there.

That’s the same message I have, says tentative and last scanned in China on the 29th

I’m doing a in store pick up Friday evening with ATT Next. I’m assuming that it won’t show up in my Apple Support until then?

I don't think they will. They retired the support page, and the new version just shows the devices that are signed in with your Apple ID. So our X's won't show up until we actually receive them and sign into them. :(
yep...they aren't adding them anymore unless your apple id is associated with it.

bummer.

Here’s an update for those that are worrying* or interested in tracking.

Any London/UK/Europe folks on here, please keep an eye out for scans about 2-4 hours from now. There are two Cargolux 747’s departing CGO. One to London Stansted at 12:50am China time and another at 2:15am China time to Luxembourg. Then around 9am China time there’s FOUR 747 departures to AMS, LUX and Hahn. That’s a lot of LIFT capacity!

For those in the US, there’s a 2:00am ZZ/CGO 747 departure to Shanghai in addition to the numerous 737F departures to Shenzhen and Shanghai

(I’m not worried-just geeking out at the airplane logistics :p)

Most of the UPS flights from China to the US are in flight, which means we likely have movement tomorrow morning on the next round. Which is inline with iPhone 8 shipments and last years for the 7 as well.
