To everyone who is predicting which aircraft their iPhones will be transferred to next: it is hard to predict. There are so many flights going in/out of SDF that is hard to pinpoint exactly which plane our phones will be on next.

I would rather be patient and wait for that next Departure Scan and correlate it with the departure time of flight that closely resembles it on flightaware.com

Until then...hold tight!
Many will leave Louisville on a truck.

i usually follow this thread, but the actions of a select few are amusing me. Calling UPS for plane's freight shipment updates? Is that not completely ridiculous or what? If apple quotes you Nov 3rd. Then why .....just why....

Exactly. Last year I was glued to the iPhone 7+ threads but this year, people calling Apple/UPS because there's no updated tracking information to go along with their 11/3 delivery date is absurd.

If Apple says you're getting the phone on Friday, you're getting it on Friday. RELAX. It is absolutely ridiculous if you are calling UPS/Apple to inquire about the status of their FLIGHTS as they are in the air.

I live in CA, so I am assuming that if my phone is coming on Fri as is stated, then it has to fly out of SDF to get here on time...I don't think Ground can cover the journey from SDF to CA in 1.5 days...I could be wrong. Please let me know if my assumption is incorrect.
I didn’t say West Coast would go by truck. I said many will leave by truck, not all.

You’re not wrong.:)

That’s to far by truck it’ll be by plane. Only places that should be going by truck should be my state (Indiana) and the other states surrounding Kentucky lol..

Chances are the western states, there will be a flight from Louisville to Ontario, CA - we've also seen UPS send flights directly to Ontario, CA from Anchorage on occasion (if they have enough cargo intended for that distribution centre to justify an entire flight).

Here's a list of cargo departures on the HK airport website. There are 3 scheduled UPS flights that stop in Anchorage then Louisville. Hopefully the HK crew's phones are on one of them

Apple support doesn't help at all when it comes to asking why there's no official tracking provided.
Think of all those tortured souls who don't know about these forums or flight aware and are still wondering why they don't have a tracking number from Apple when their phones are due in two days!!! They must be calling Apple every day!

Thank you!! So I'm not crazy for thinking all these people wasting UPS/Apple customer service rep's time is absurd?

I don't understand why people are so skeptical about Apple's promised delivery date. If they say it will be there on 11/3, why does "official" tracking even matter? Once the phones are stateside, statuses will begin to change as devices begin to ship individually from WorldPort, and Apple will also provide you with your tracking number at that point in time.

Awesome, I hope we will get an arrival to Anchorage by the end of today!

To all of the people already trying to determine which plane their phone is coming on good luck. Your plane truck or whatever is probably not going to let eve until us HK folks reach Louisville so that it arrives at the same time just an assumption!

Actually.... I wonder about that... knowing the tracking may be more stressful than just waiting for the app to send you an update. For one thing you’d only be tracking the phone for a couple of days once Apple told you it was “shipped”.

I think everybody needs to chill out with the Delivery Dates.

I've been calm about it too. Been checking out cases & wireless charging. Also been looking out for good AR apps which is going to be something great to use on iPhone X. Check out Apple videos of how to click good photos (they have the tutorials on their YouTube channel).

There are tons of things about iPhone X than simply waiting for it :p

I don't know why there are no customs scan yet in KY. It arrived more than 8 hours ago.
If you think about it, they could hold off moving these phones until friday at dawn.... if they really wanted to. There are at least 3 UPS flights from the world port to the sunport between now and then... maybe they are just holding off so they don’t spend so much time at a regional office where things could happen to them... or they could be delivered early by mistake.

Thinking about picking my phone up at Local Hub in Central CA, It says I can pick up between 8-10 AM and 4-6 PM. It says that it must be ready in order to pick up has anyone had problems getting at their hub first thing in the morning to pick up phone?
