Is your phone already in the states ? Mines is still in China chilling. I imagine you should have it held at a ups hub (the hub has to approve he request first) opposed to leaving a grand phone on your door step.. I live in the zip 46235 and I’m having mines picked up at 9 AM at the hub. If not have a friend to sign it for you at your house m. But again the hub has to approve the request for it to be held (Make sure you choose the one that’s assigned to handle your packages for you area) You should know by late Thursday early Friday that’s it’s been held and ready for pick up

Wow, looks like you are only about an hour from me. I’m in 47374. My phone appears to be in that first shipment NCR 628 that should be in Louisville now. How do you know a UPS location is a hub. We have one in a small town about 6 miles from me where everything ships then is delivered from there. Would that be considered a hub? I think I’ll call them when they open for pick ups at 4 just to make sure I’m doing this right. Don’t want to wait until Monday to get it. I know I shouldn’t be so impaitient but can’t help it. Hope you see movement from China on yours soon, but I’m sure it will deliver on Friday for you.

I typed in my phones phone number followed by my ZIP code (no space between) on the UPS website - check reference number box and not tra king number. It gave me my tracking number and I tracked it since last Saturday - it Left Anchorage yesterday afternoon - presumably landen somewhere but no record of it.

Based on previous years, I'm pretty sure all Anchorage flights head for Louisville, KY (SFD airport). While you'd expect an arrival scan, it's normal that those don't get posted right away. You (and I) are more likely to see an arrival scan followed immediately by a departure scan sometime later today or tomorrow.

I have seen my phone in previous years leave SFD on Thursday evening, arrive in Ontario, California later that evening, fly to Boeing Field in Seattle and still be on the truck for delivery by 5am on Friday morning.

Exactly. He hard part is getting to KY. once you make it, there are so many flights so u don’t have to worry.

Those are Reference numbers that can be used by you to search for iPhone before Apple shows the Tracking Number and even after you have a Tracking number.

Go to the UPS site and search by reference by your 10 digit phone number or your Apple order minus the last 2 digits.

Dave
Sorry Dave, I should have been more clear, these numbers were listed in my tracking info on the UPS site.

How do you get the ups app to show the full progress? Mine is only showing the last movement witch is departed from Anchorage at 4:30.

The UPS iPhone app only seems to show the last movement update. You have to log in via a web browser to see the full history of movement.

So Apple Store still says preparing for shipment, but UPS says:

ZhengZhou, China 11/01/2017 5:30 P.M. Arrival Scan
11/01/2017 5:02 P.M. Departure Scan
11/01/2017 2:43 P.M. Origin Scan
China 11/01/2017 10:56 P.M. (ET) Order Processed: Ready for UPS

How do I know which flight it will be on?

Mine says "End of Day" inside the tracking number once I get to the full page, but the entry in my MyChoice window that shows all deliveries for this week still says "Tentative" on it. Maybe that's normal?

Maybe, I'm not sure. At this point I don't think there is anything to worry about.

In my case if I click on the last entry Anchorage, AK the arrow switches to ^ then i can scroll down and see the rest of the entries in Package progress

I think if it has "customer center" it's a hub. Also if you drive by and see trailers or the box trucks, safe to assume its a hub

Got to the UPS website, click on the location menu, either type in your city or click "use my current location", expand See My Options, expand Location Type and click on UPS Customer Centre then Find

It will very likely be on one of these flights today. Watch for the departure scan and you can match that timing with one of the flights here: https://flightaware.com/live/iphone
