Thinking about running naked with this phone, which I’ve never done before. It’s very nice looking and easy to hold.

That's my goal as well. I went nekkid with the 4s but the 6+ and 6s+ were just way too slippery. Nice to hear!
Mine was super easy too. A breeze to go from my 5s to the 8 Plus! I was pleasantly surprised!
Yeah my fingers grip nicely with the back glass. Major improvement over the 6 and 7 models.
Activation was easy enough for me, but it took about 40 minutes for my old 6 to drop off the network and my new 8 Plus to be able to make/take calls.
My apps are still downloading lol. Gonna be a while since I have horrible internet!
Did you guys all use the sim that came with the phone or something like that?
I took the sim out of my 7 and threw it into my 8+ and it still took several tries.
Same here. I got one “too busy”, but then immediately tried again and it went right through.
Been nekkid with all of the iPhones.. I have had them all... and while I see the point i using the case but they are work of art and cases spoil it.

It has just left the FedEx origin facility. At this point I should let it deliver instead of having it held correct? I remember one time I had set it to hold and it delayed the shipment by a day lol

I never, ever had shipment delayed for FEDEX when I order Apple product and when I use the hold for pick up. If apple shipped it out today and I choose the request for pick up, it will be there at my local Fedex office print and ship on Saturday to pick up.
This time around my pre-order came through UPS and not had any issue picking up at UPS CC. But I heard that for UPS if you choose to redirect it then that can add a business day depending on your location.
This is why I prefer FEDEX over UPS (my opinion).
Mine is still preparing to ship. Would love a Saturday delivery. Did you order from Apple website ??

Yeah, I ordered mine with the AT&T SIM already inside. No idea why it took so long to hop onto the network
Ok, how accurate do you think that 9:30 am - 11:15 am window is? I know on packages that I had held at the FedEx Office print shop it arrives about 10-10:30ish, it is also about a ten mile drive out. If the 9:30-11:15 time is accurate then I would want to just wait before I head out for the rest of the day's activities lol

Mine just says “Label created” though, so it might not actually go out until Monday for delivery Tuesday.

I got a text literally as soon as it shipped though, so you can likely just wait for that.

Probably. What type of shipping is it? (Next Day, Standard, etc). Mine originated from the same facility. Although they probably won't delivery until next week, unless Apple requested a special delivery day.

Life lesson learned. Never alter the delivery from UPS. It confuses them. Oh well. My case and Qi charger arrived today with my new Switch screen protector. Now I can take it to work with me to distract me from thinking about my phone
