Probably. What type of shipping is it? (Next Day, Standard, etc). Mine originated from the same facility. Although they probably won't delivery until next week, unless Apple requested a special delivery day.

Well that depends. On Apple it says “via next day delivery”. On fedex it says “fedex ground”. My Juliet is roughly Nashville though, and I’m in Memphis, so it could be next day via ground because it’s so close.

I have absolutely zero expectations of a weekend delivery, I’m just wondering if it will ship out this weekend and show up Monday as indicated on fedex or if it will actually be Tuesday as indicated by Apple.

Also something that gives me a little hope for Monday: on fedex the actual time stamp for the “shipping label received” is around noon today. So it might already be in motion.

I
Finally had a chance to setup my Space Grey 8+ 256GB, and this thing is FAST coming from a 6s. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I didn’t think it would be this much faster.

Its much faster coming from a 7+ too!

Mine activated right away on ATT. I seriously don’t think it took more than a minute or two.

Yeah I'm not sure what was going on. This was the message I kept getting...

I just placed my order today with AT&T for an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB Space Gray and shipping is Oct 6th to 13th. I shouldn't have waited. I have been check Apple website and their orders are still shipping 1 to 3 days. I placed my order with AT&T because you can get 30 months of interest free payments.:(

You can get the same financing for AT&T if you order through Apple. I do it every year. Trust me, I learned my lesson ordering through AT&T. Apple is always faster.

Activation was easy enough for me, but it took about 40 minutes for my old 6 to drop off the network and my new 8 Plus to be able to make/take calls.

It was little strange, about 2 minutes after I activated the new phone. I get a call - from some unknown number - Nothing all that new really, been getting hit with these annoying robo calls now :mad:

BOTH 6+ and 8+ phones rang, even though my iPhone 6+ said "No Service" I guess it does take time for these to fully br removed from the network.

That could be a continuity/handoff thing ... do you have an email address set up for FaceTime calls?

Yeah you're right. On the new iPhone 8+ the Phone setting "Calls on Other Devices" also had my deactivated iPhone 6+ triggered to on. I disabled that. I totally forgot about that setting. I was getting other calls through FaceTime also. So annoying.

The Block Calling feature is awesome, it just never stops though and my block list grows bigger every day!
I NEVER give out this number, but these low lifes have ways to find any number and spam you!

Looks like I’m set for Monday.

Wow. Mine still says preparing for shipment. And I ordered Friday at 9:48am. Lol. I’m happy for you! Hopefully mine changes today sometime and I get mine Monday too. A little bummed mine is shipping after people who ordered later than I did. Haha. But oh well. I get to anticipate longer and that’s over half the fun right? :)

I created an entry in my contacts called ZZspam and put all the blocked calls in there... I have over 70 numbers there... so freaking annoying (almost as annoying as your animated GIF! :D )... as far as how they get your number... the robo calls just start dialing (215) 111-0000, (215) 111-0001 and go through the entire list of phone numbers... with robo calling software, it's a snap... and we get annoyed beyond measure.

I had an online pbx box get hacked years ago and I just happened to see it happen the moment it was hacked. They loaded my account with $10,000 credit via stolen credit cards and instantly started making thousands of calls a second. They burned through the $10k calling credit in 5 minutes and instantly the account went negative before I could lock it out. Come to find out the entire service got hacked not just my account. Company shut down soon after that. Lol

Edit: but yeah that’s exactly what they do 0000, 0001. Lol
