I highly doubt it will reach you by 9th November. I guess it's better to ask some Americans here who have been placing pre-orders before. I've ordered online but never done pre-order so there could be a different scenario.

I think my advice would be to place an order on October 27 and then wait until 2nd or 3rd November. If the shipment has no movement then just cancel the order. And all this while you can obviously try to reserve iPhone X at the store.

Honestly, your situation looks very tough. I guess one needs at least a month to get iPhone via online order from Apple.com

I also suggest you to search and check the Thread related to iPhone 7 Plus Pre Order. That will give you some fair amount of precise time for the shipment.

From past preorders I was able to get them all on launch day with the exception of the 7+. T-Mobile dropped the ball when placing my order and I didn’t receive it until October 17th. I had to reach out to John Legere and his team and had them ship my phone out and delivered in my hand 24 hours later. I’m going to preorder through both the Apple app and through the t-mobile app. Whichever I get charged for first I’ll keep and cancel the other order.

I think iPhone 7 was available easily than iPhone 7 Plus. Let's hope this time everybody gets iPhone X on time

Hi,

I'd also like to order an iPhone X when it is released. I don't live in the US and I'd have to have it shipped to an address in Miami, FL for a forwarding service which will deliver it to me. What's a good option for buying it? Preferably one that avoids the sales tax. I was thinking B&H Photo Video.

B&H Photo Video dont sell iPhones!

Whoever in here told me i could pay the tax on a upgrade with a diff card was wrong.

It would have cost me my pre-order :/

This is why it's always a good idea to, you know, check with the place you're actually going to purchase the device from.

I have been, but apple isnt always verry helpful.

Theyve told me all kinds of answers from

We dont know yet ... To .... return your iphone 7/cancel your loan and apply again for the X

I'm planning on purchasing the iPhone X on a Verizon Installment Plan through the Apple store app. When paying with the Apple Store App for the taxes and the upgrade fee during pre-ordering, does the payment card have to match the account card on file with Verizon? Me and my roommates share the same account and it's on my roommate's name and social security number (which I have access to, no problem there). I have a debit card on Apple Pay with my name.

I went through the iPhone 8 ordering process and got to the screen where I place my finger on Touch ID to confirm payment, but naturally didn't press it because I was just trying it out. Should I experience any issues after I press confirm payment next Friday with my Apple Pay debit card?

Also, my roommate will be out of town but he can sign the pre-release. Do you know if I will experience any issues with delivery because the contract will be under his name? Can I even pick-it up from fed-ex or UPS to hold it for me?

Thanks for being awesome guys...really enjoy reading this forum.

iPhone 7 / 7+ were a goat rodeo! I got my order in around 1204am and got my 7+ on launch day. Where as allot of my friends around the same time and further out to 1214am saw shipment windows from 2 to 4 weeks and even a few at 6+ weeks. Given there is so few X phones for this launch and the pentum demand for the X you’ll need to have an order no later the 1203am. I’m only making assumptions on the X however I’ve successfully preorder each IPhone non S models since the original iPhone. Unfortunately it’s going to be a winning lottery ticket format for the X models this year. I do hope you win and get your phone when your friend comes to visit :)

Great info. Any tips when trying to process an order in a quickly manner

i went through the process of buying an ip8 just to see how the order flows and what to expect.

on my apple account i have my shipping address, billing address, and cc in there (used for app store)

now when i go through the order process it auto fills everything EXCEPT the shipping info, why is that? why isnt it autofilling it from my apple account? and it asks you for shipping address first when ordering which is dumb bc usually when you do things online its billing address first then you would click, "use billing address for shipping"

A lot of people have been posting here if there is any other way to get Sim-Free iPhone X besides T-Mobile.

Well, there is a way.

If you have been looking for Qualcomm Chip iPhone X then you can buy iPhone X Verizon from BestBuy.com online without giving any Verizon Account details.

But there is a problem, BestBuy is selling iPhone X Verizon for USD1099.99

Because it includes tax

No It's not the TAX.

I spoke to BestBuy and they said BestBuy is the third party seller and they have an agreement with Apple to sell at USD1099.99 but if you buy at full retail price in store (BestBuy) then you get USD100 refund by showing the bill.

No need for the refund. Just show them the price Apple showing on their site, Bestbuy will price match it. I just bought a 7 Plus that way from BB.

Um no, it’s not. That’s not how tax works lol. Tax rates are different for each state...so it wouldn’t be a hard $100 tax expense. Taxes are always calculated at the time of checkout based on your location, not included in the retail purchase price of a product.

For those who have preordered 2 iPhones in the past, do they get shipped in separate packages?

If not, would the delay of one (eg. Jet Black last year) delay the entire shipment?

Just chatted with an Apple representative. I stated about the short supply and would this pre order end up like the jet black 7 plus. The guy was very cool. Stated that everything is a rumor unless apple states it. Says they have no issue with letting the customers know that there will not be any available in store, just like they did with the jet black last year. He said that the iPhone X will be available for delivery and in store pick up as well. So that’s a plus. I know some like myself who like to pick up in store and also meet some great apple fans on release day. Just 5 more days til pre orders. Good luck to everyone

I'm also not speculating much on Rumours. But we will come to know on October 27. Good luck to all and hope everyone gets their iPhone much before time!

It isn’t taxed. It’s going to be $1,099.99 plus tax.

I just tried the iPhone 8 Plus (Verizon) to see what the price would come out to. Here’s what mines is showing.

Does having the iPhone x in your favourite on the app help speed up the preorder?

I haven't tried that before, but this time I'm going to do it that way! I've already the X added to my favorites so I don't have to select color and storage anymore. Hopefully it has advantage instead of ordering it the normal way through the app.
