Has anyone gone through the pre-approval process for the iPhone X yet? I woke up this morning and tried to do it, but there was no option in my Apple Store app. I contacted Apple and they told me that it should be under the discover tab. I told them that I didn’t see it and they said it must be a problem on my end and that it should correct itself later today. Anyone else having this problem?

I just asked Apple Store Support about this and was told that the service is currently down.

Yes, it does speed thing up a little.

Don’t worry, there will be huge threads with everyone posting when they ordered and when they are receiving.

Just sell it on swappa.com. Easy as pie.

I sell all my phones on swappa.

So I currently use T-mobile prepaid and would like to pre order the Verizon iPhone X. I have a family member with a Verizon postpaid account who is willing to share their info with me assuming there are no consequences to their line/account. Assuming I pay in full and remove the Verizon sim card the phone comes with before turning it on is there any impact to their Verizon line/account?

Has anyone used someone else's Verizon carrier info to order an iPhone before?

This will be my first time pre-ordering, and I need to grab one for me and my wife. Can you pre-order for two lines at once, or would I have to pre-order for one line, then go back and repeat the process for the next line? I'm worried that by the time I get around to ordering the second one, the wait time will be pushed out a few weeks. I was going to buy them both outright from AT&T, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I currently have an iPhone 7 with Verizon. I will be preordering my iPhone X directly from Apple.com, paying in full. Once I get the X from Apple, do I just turn it on and it will automatically link up to my phone number? How do I make sure that my current iPhone 7 is completely unlinked from my phone number, this way I can sell it?

if youre planning on using it on tmobile, you would be better off waiting for the unlocked model. it will still work with cdma just you avoid the upgrade fee Verizon charges. also i believe when you order the verizon model it comes with a sim that HAS to be activated, so their line would be on your iphone (you would just put your sim in it to get your tmobile number on it, not sure how it affects their phone tho)

Is this right? If you buy the phone in full from the apple store directly Verizon charges an upgrade fee?

I also don't see how the sim HAS to be activated. It's an unlocked phone, just don't boot it with the sim it comes with. Verizon isn't going to deactivate an active sim if the new sim is never activated?

If you have two devices... you can do the order simultaneously. I’m only getting one... but I plan on using both my iPad and iPhone to see which one goes through.

It’s going to be a hectic process... a few seconds can cost you weeks. With the limited qualities and people looking to profit on those who missed out.

You put in the Vzw info when ordering
apple makes you confirm it (think its with a text message to the number you put in)
Apple programs the phone to be linked to the sim, when you receive the phone and attempt putting the sim in the phone will tell you that you first have to activate it with the included sim

that's how it went last year, i used a throwaway vzw account for order.
after i activated it with the included sim, it let me use my own sim.

why do you need it to be a verizon model?

Gotcha, thanks for the info.

I suppose the main reason I want the Verizon model is for flexibility and future resale value. The sim free model would be ideal but who knows how long before it's available. Maybe I should try and get the TMo model. You don't need any postpaid carrier info for this one correct? Is it carrier unlocked?

Hey guys
So I bought an iPhone 7 through Verizon last year when they were running a $15/month promotion. I'd receive credit to the account as long as I stay with verizon for 2 years. Is there any way to buy the iPhone X at full retail price without interrupting these credits? I have a family member on this account as well who has his device fully paid off. I was thinking I'd order on his line, activate it, and then put my own sim into the iPhone X and maybe give the family member the iPhone by swapping sims. Any issue with this plan? Thanks

That is correct, tmobile and unlocked version dont require any info.

sim free is usually a month or two later, but who knows how many will be available

So I talked to Apple Customer Support, and they told me that you cannot get pre-approved until you receive an email from Apple. She said I just need to wait until I get an email. If I don’t get an email but Wednesday, she said to call back. ‍♂️

To what email address? Your apple ID or the one associated with your current citizens one loan?

Hello guys, I've noticed that when I go through the shopping bag (mobile Apple Store app) and click checkout, the app asks for my Apple ID password every time. For the next order, instead it asks only for the Touch ID.
Is this normal? I was thinking that on the 27th the store will be offline, so it isn't possible to simulate an order first and enable the Touch ID in the app, so I'll have to type in the password at the checkout...

I never received an email about pre-registering for the 8 so I doubt that is accurate.
[doublepost=1508782906][/doublepost]Mine just came up via the app store app

Can you tell us what really happens on the day of pre-order? Like what's the chaos?
