Question? in past iphone pre orders, has anyone ever heard of or experienced a release date delivery on the initial pre order day and then it be changed to 1-2 weeks etc. once the week begins and its not delivered on release date?
I haven't had that happen. For the most part you will get the phone on your delivery date.

So if it is November 3rd, then most likely you will receive the phone.

I’m planning to preorder the iPhone X from the Apple store app. I’ll be paying in full. I’m still paying installments on my 7+ with Verizon, though. I’m ready for an upgrade since I‘ve paid more than half on it. My question is would I have any problems because of that balance while preordering from Apple? I’m afraid it wouldn’t let me complete the order before paying the rest or something. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know if I will be able to pre-order two iPhone X’s from the Apple Store App once it goes live? Or is it maximum one per customer?
Thanks!

You can buy both at the same time but I wouldn’t do it. When I ordered the iPhone 7 I bought 1 for me and another for my husband. Mine showed the launch date for delivery and my husband’s had a latter date. I thought they would ship separately but no. They delayed mine because it was in the same order and I ended up canceling it and getting the phones at the store. So, just keep that in mind.

+1.

When you order two phones, they ship together and not separately, so if one is delayed, the other will be too so both can ship at the same time.

The date they give you is the date they’ll deliver, unless they give you a range. Even with a range, it’ll usually deliver before the estimated date. But if you get a release date, they deliver on that day.

max is 2 per customer. But I'd do 2 separate order as others have stated. This way you get 2 different tracking number and 2 packages.

I'm currently on AT&T and want to switch to Verizon prepaid for the iPhone X. Is there any way I can pre-order the iPhone X and get the CDMA Verizon version, without actually being on Verizon yet?

Or should I go into a store tomorrow and sign up with a rep then pre-order somehow? I believe I will need to log into a Verizon account before checking out with the Apple store. But since I am not a customer yet, I won’t have an account or log in info.

Hello all! I’ve got a quick question, haven’t been able to find the answer through google. So I want to pre Oder the iPhone X....

I’m hoping to start the iPhone upgrade program through Apple. I’ve never used it before, but I asked a rep at the Apple store & he said I can sign up for it online when I’m ordering my new phone. He said the process isn’t too long, & that I can do it when ordering the iPhone X at the release time. Has anyone reading this signed up for it before? What’s the process? What do I need to have readily available?

I know it’s technically a loan, so you have to get approved. Like I said, the guy at the Apple store told me it’s not a long wait, basically saying you get approved instantly (assuming your credit is fine). Does anyone have any experience signing up this way in the past that they’re willing to share? Thanks in advance!

guys so i have Apple Pay ready and set up for tomorrow, i checked the (I) under the wallet app to make sure my billing address is correct, ill be preordering from the Apple Store app of course, iPhone X 256gb paying in full

I did a few test runs in the Apple Store app by choosing the iPhone 8 and proceeding till the last page in the checkout that has the black "Apple Pay" button on the bottom and i can get there rather quickly after practicing a few times but i have a question,

Technically speaking, Tomorrow night when i'm preordering the iPhone X, can Apple Pay somehow F' me over and fail to work in any possible way? Such as asking me for my last 3 digits of the back of my VISA card out of nowhere unexpectedly or anything of that sort or as long as my card is loaded up in the Wallet App and my billing address is correct and the wallet app says "CHASE FREEDOM VISA SIGNATURE is Ready for Apple Pay" im good to go? should i expect any surprises basically is what im asking

I know that if someone is perhaps doing the Checkout without using Apple Pay there is certainly a possibility for being asked an additional question such as asking for the last 3 digits of the credit card number from the back or something of that nature and that will cost crucial seconds in the preorder process

I think that’s only a few seconds.. if your referring to putting in your last digits 4 digit of Social Security number and zip code.

As long as your within the 5 min mark, that should be fine. Cause I plan on using Apple Pay to eliminate not having to enter my password or payment info.

CORRECTION: all that info that you have to type in is in my iPad. When I do it on my iPhone everything is filled in,no security text nothing. Super fast! Almost ordered an iPhone 8 plus by accident. Going to use my phone to order instead of iPad. Both on Apple store app.

I have a question similar to this.

I have updated all the Billing & Shipping Details. But it still ask me last 3 digits of the back of my VISA card. Is it this normal or what's the other way to save it?

What do you guys think about having a different billing and shipping names and address? I want to pay for the phone with my credit card, but have it shipped to my brother's office. I added his name and shipping address to my Apple Pay info and I plan to buy the X at full price with the Apple Store app and Apple Pay, of course. Is this going to cause issues?

Oh.. so no need for the security number and zip code?

But I plan on using a different line to upgrade...I have a 7 Plus, I plan on giving to a family member already on my account. So, in that case.... I will have to use the phone where the line I’m upgrading to bypass filling in that info.

I assume you went to buy Replace this iPhone instead of buy a new iPhone?

I’m currently on the AT&T NEXT with my iPhone 7. My upgrade options for the iPhone X are:

Option #1: pay $274.59 and trade in device to upgrade early
Option #2: pay off $424.39 to upgrade early and keep device
Option #3: buy device at full price

I want to keep the device and pass it down to one of my family members. That being said, I’m considering option #2. If I pay it off now, how long does it take to reflect on Apple’s system? Overnight? I will be upgrading via the Apple app on tomorrow morning.

I can also use another family member’s line to upgrade using the NEXT plan and swap SIMs. I would have another NEXT payment if I go with this option. Or I can buy a device at full price. Which option do you suggest?

Ugh, just had a nightmare that the apple store app wasn't working and I was going through every roadblock possible when trying to finish my pre-order order. LOL I need to stay off these forums clearly!!

If you use option #2, you can pay off your device using the AT&T app early and it will be reflected when you go to buy the X. Apple's system checks with AT&T for your eligibility so AT&T is where the change needs to be made. I did that earlier this week so I would be ready.

I saw some comments earlier from people about running into trouble with Apple Pay during a pre-order, has anyone had problems with this? I have my credit card information saved in the app so it really wouldn't be too many extra steps to use that instead of AP, but I'd like to streamline it as much as possible. The comments I saw said something about AP generating a one time use number, then when it goes to bill you a week later when it ships, the number is no longer valid and it cancels/suspends the order.

Whoa i've never heard of that, i used apple pay to order the 7 Plus last year and it was fine

i asked a similar question above if you look several posts up, basically, is there a possible way Apple Pay can somehow screw up in the last step of the pre order process where you click the apple pay button and scan your fingerprint, can you it ask for some unexpected card information or anything of that sort that will result in crucial seconds being lost in the preorder race?
