Mine is on the same flight, shipped to my home in Northern CA. It appears to be on a Cathay Pacific Cargo 747... CPA2096 to Anchorage, then on to Louisville, (you can search for it on FlightRadar24). Looks like UPS chartered a Cathay flight to help with demand. The scheduled departure times match the 11:55 pm scan time, and why else would Cathay Cargo go on the exact UPS route to Anchorage then Louisville if it wasn't working for UPS? It shows a 5:01 pm arrival time in Anchorage, local time. Then a 6:30 pm departure arriving in Louisville at 4:35 am.
I love your detective skills. Color me impressed.

But delivery date is again unknown... 🙁
Mine shows an arrival to me in CA tomorrow between Noon and 4 pm and is on the same flight. They will arrive in Louisville from Anchorage at 4:35 am tomorrow, then go out to the local hubs for delivery tomorrow.

I just noticed something on my UPS my choice I hadn't seen/noticed before. It says that the package requires a signature but I can go on there and waive it. I think I will since we are going out to dinner tomorrow... just in case it actually comes while we aren't there. My gut tells me I shouldn't try to change to hold at UPS CC since we are so close!

Now the poor thing is being checked out in Hong Kong!

Shoot. Does anyone know if I release signature on UPS and it doesn't come by the 29th can I have still request to hold at UPS CC if they don't make it in time?

All right, now I’m confused. There is no arrival scan in US, and the “We’ve submitted documentation ... Brokerage released the package” message is 6 hours before the departure scan from HK. If that customs clearance message is in Anchorage, why is there not an arrival scan? This is all very strange. And, the delivery date has disappeared again, with “Information Unavailable” instead. 😔. I hope Vinom is right and this is happening at Anchorage . . . But ???

The clearance message is from UPS, Louisville time, the flight it is on is between Hong Kong and Anchorage right now. They will clear customs sometime between the 5:25 pm Anchorage time arrival and the 6:30 pm departure, so West Coast time can look for this to change between 4:25 pm and 5:30. Then you should have an updated delivery date and time frame...

How did you get that time frame? I’m still showing by end of day.

Damn I still don’t have an updated scan yet. The release of signature I had is actually for another package coming to my office 🙄

I removed that evil tracking # that ironically was already in Kentucky…

My hope is lost once again.

Thank you, Vinom, for your help.

On time as in Apple or UPS dates? 🥴
Apple projected arrival dates have always been accurate. I did pay the extra $8 for expedited delivery... Apple initially gave me an Oct. 28-30 arrival date. UPS says the 28th and Apple currently shows the 30th. We will see how this one plays out. If it does indeed arrive in Anchorage in 3 hours or so, my bet is on tomorrow delivery.

I'm old enough to remember when UPS compared favorably to the U.S. Postal Service. After this Chek Lap Kok experience, I'm not so sure.
Another way to look at this is that since UPS was able to book several pallets of our iPhones on another carrier, we are able to get our iPhones a few days earlier than Apple promised us.

As it stands right now, one day earlier than Apple's estimate. And who knows what it'll end up being? Apparently not UPS.

I logged in to UPS My Choice and got my "Informed Delivery" info... That time frame is now gone, since the clearance message came up. I would guess that will go away in 3 hours or so, once they clear customs in Anchorage.

UPS was showing an estimated 10/28/20 from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. but I finally have today's scan at 6:10 p.m. and my status is now "Clearance in Progress"...

Apple delivery date is 10/30/20. I'm in SoCal (Los Angeles/SFV)... what do you think my chances are of getting it on 10/29/20?

What date do you think you will get yours @Vinom ?

The time is before the previous time stamps in HK because of the time zone difference between here and there.

I’m not an expert by know means, but that is my most logical assumption.

If your iPhone departed Hong Kong today at 11:55 pm Hong Kong time, this is the plane your phone is likely on.
Thanks for all the info, Vinom! Hope this all pans out. I will be a happy camper when a delivery date is restored to my status! This does all make sense, so I choose to believe it!
