Apple's Store finally went live for me at 5:27am. Got my order in for Pro Max, Pacific Blue, 512GB and also picked up a MagSafe Charger, 20W Power Adaptor, and Apple's Deep Blue Silicon Case. Nov 13 delivery on the phone.

I was not impressed with how Apple kept displaying the "Almost There, still putting the finishing touches on the store" message. When the store is supposed to be live at 5am and you got up in the middle of the night, that kind of message drives angst and worry. If it is as simple as the website is flooded and Apple's servers can't handle it, why not put up a message that says "Demand is high, but don't worry, we'll get you in as soon as possible"?

Not impressed Apple. That was a poor shopping experience.

Ok this has been the best Preorder experience (with the preorder prep reparation process on Tuesday). I got in at 3 minutes past the hour (7:03 AM CST in Illinois) as the apple store app on my trusty 11 Pro Max refreshed automatically It took a second to continue order, needed a faceID verification had to do twice was in office with dim lights but second time ok, then placed the order and shortly after got email verification order was placed and in the famed processing mode. Delivers on November 13 next week, first time in 3 years I got it early last year had to (shudder LOL) wait 2 weeks after for my 11 Pro Max.

I wonder with the ease this time if the split of the 4 iphone 12 models into two preorder times significantly apart broke up the load on the servers and thus made for smooth and quick access to the app? Just musing do not really know. Now to obsess over the shipping/tracking data for next week phase LOL

For sheer fun I just added a MINI and then a Pro Max (both pacific blue) and could get either one on launch date via pick up or delivery. What gives? This shocks me to the high heavens.

this was 25 minutes after 5! 🤨
I think people weren’t as into it since this happened so long after the Apple iPhone Event. Stores are closed Black Friday sales. Election madness. Too much time since announcements. People forgot If they weren’t on MacRumors? Also we didn’t compete with 12 and 12 Pro. Glad all four iPhones didn’t order at the same time.

Got in and had all kinds of trouble making the order including a notice that “an interruption“ had occurred and to try to make the order again. I just kept telling it to make the order and I finally got a notice and an email that the order was made. I have an order number.

I ordered a iPhone 12 Pro Max 512 GB Graphite, and have a Nov. 13 delivery date.
Same with me. I had to keep pressing the agree and place order button at least 100 times before it finally went through! 256gb Silver Max, still says delivers on 11/13. Part One of preorder trauma is over. Now, Part 2 begins, lol. Received confirmation email at 7:22 am Central. 🥳

How dare Apple not allow millions of people gain access to their website at 1 time.

Hmm i expected my ATT order to say something about installments but it says no commitment. Even though i did see some terms about 30mo midway through, is that normal?
Yes. That’s normal. I do this plan every year. Then prior to new iPhone release I pay off my contract and sell my prior phone to another forum member. The att program is an installment contract for the payments.

Guys!! HELP!!
I preordered 2 256gb iphone 12 pro max Pacific blue, but one of them has the wrong shipping address. Am I allowed to change it later?

East coast Virginia, app went live at 8:01 and I received my email confirmation at 8:01. So glad I learned about the pre approval process so all I had to do was click a few buttons. Pro Max graphite on launch day.

What a fiasco, probably on my part. Was ordering swimmingly on my iPhone and kept getting interruptions when processing payment. Kept going kept going kept going. Nothing.

Switched to the Mac, and busted my way through most of the checkout. "Maximum number of attempts allowed, please choose a different payment method." I was using my Apple ID balance and four gift cards, plus an Amex to cover the difference, but it wouldn't let me no matter if I changed my CC to cover the balance remaining. I think it saw my 7,000 attempts on the iPhone app as being an issue.

So, I just winged it and checked out with Apple Pay using my Apple Card and it went through for a November 13 store pickup at 8:15 a.m. So, now I'm sitting on a zillion dollars in ID credits and gift cards still (saved over a four-year period), but I guess those can be applied when I pick up the new iPad Pro in the spring.

Long story short, I'm in for a launch day pickup at 8:15 a.m.! iPhone, Pacific Blue, 512 GB that'll be replacing my iPhone X 256 GB that has a swollen battery (don't think I can get any trade-in; just need it to not catch fire for the next week).

Kind of glad I don't have to watch UPS airplanes departing China this time...LOL

Apple store on the iphone was live fir me at 5:01am. No issues whatsoever

Ordered an unlocked 12 PM on the site. It took like 10 mins maybe longer for the store to go live. Very odd. Was a choppy experience going through the steps. Surprised that trade-in is not an option in-store. Guessing due to Covid. This was the first time I ordered on Apple's site and not AT&T and I really preferred it. Also really preferred this versus using the Apple Store app. Opted for in-store pickup as I hate the feeling when iPhones are being delivered to my house. Would much rather pick a time slot and get it then.

Ok thx because i wanted to make sure i took advantage of the 30mo installments to get the credit. Thx for setting me at ease!
