UPS / FEDEX always come to my address very late around 4-5pm , they said my area are last round they did everyday !

So , pick up in store on next Friday at 8:30 AM will be better , and Apple Store is 30 mins away ....

And first time ever , almost 1 hours after Pre-Order went live , most color and model in Pro Max still showing Nov 13 . People buy the Pro / 12 instead of the Max model is TRUE ! Last month , mostly all the 12 Pro was change deliver date just 5 mins after preorder went live :)

That's the way it has always been, a gradual rollout. I vaguely remember a video about their operations center where they try to manage this huge hit on their servers. I usually don't get in until 10 minutes or so later, got in at 5:03 this time so looked to me as if it was faster. Did see that some didn't get in until 30 minutes after.

So do you spend a ton of money for hardware (or data center access) for a peak demand that is only going to last for maybe an hour once every year? If they did then Apple things would be even more expensive.
Another good very good point! Thanks for posting your thoughts...it makes sense!

Was finally able to get my wallet for in store pickup today instead of waiting until December for shipping. Also ordered the leather case this morning to make the hour 1 way trip a little more worth it.

Too many complaints on here in the past about UPS drivers never ringing the doorbell, or they ring it once and then take off before anyone can get to the door. Then you're stuck waiting until Monday. If you can, have them hold it at the CC and pick it up.

We have the nicest delivery driver. After a long wait for an iPhone one year she gave us her cell # and told us to text her whenever we have a package we’re eager to receive. Ever since we’re one of her first deliveries whenever it’s something like an iPhone arriving, she just does her route in a slightly different direction and is happy to see the smiles on our faces. YMMV

That was really sloppy, with all of the errors at the end of the order process. Multiple multiple times. Tried on both my iPad Apple Store app and via the Web (don't have an iPhone). Errors on both. Finally got it processed through via the apple.com web entry at around 8:25 EST.

Pro Max Blue with 512GB. Supposed to be delivered by Fri the 13th, which surprised me. I am in Michigan. Good Luck.

Easy peasy 8:01EDT order for 12 Pro Max Graphite 128GB for 11.13 delivery....

Now 45 min in and 11.13.2020 shipping still available.

Demand not very high?

Easy this morning, both because of the later time (thank you Tim Cook), and because the website just worked. Delivery of a mini for the Mrs. set for the 13th.

Went back and ordered some leather cases (finally!) and a HomePod mini as well. Didn't want those to muck up the phone order so I did those separately afterwards.

Anyone notice that the last picture for the leather cases seem to show a prominent MagSafe circle on the back of the case? Interesting that all the other pictures do not show this circle on the back and we know that the silicone ones do not. Maybe they are just preparing us for the eventual marks that will be caused from MagSafe charging!
