Apple.COM iPhone 4S Pre-Order Status Thread

Apple rep told me this too. Hope it's true..
 
Maybe Apple had a batch of AT&T and Verizon phones already stateside, and they're waiting to send those out as it won't take as long to send those as it would from China.

(Wishful thinking? Perhaps.)
 
The ATT orders will ship later but from the US, apple.com orders ship from China sooner, everyone unless your german will get the phones at the same time.
 
That would be my guess. Also, its not Apple's first product release, so I'm confident they know what they are doing. It just would have been nice to get the phone early. :p

I hope so... It's just a phone, but I've been waiting for 2 and a half years since my 3GS, and I want it! lol.

I gave up on getting my phone early. Now I'm just hoping I'll get it on time! But you are right, this isn't their first rodeo. Hopefully they did indeed ship some stateside first, as you would have to believe it's cheaper to ship a bunch at once to Apple, since they've been supposedly making these things for a month now.
 
64gb ordered about 3:30 am ET. Still "Preparing for Shipment." A bit concerned, but it seems from all the threads that the 64gb models seem to be lagging behind. Maybe some HAVE been stateside and won't start moving until tomorrow.

Yup. As I stated earlier, Apple says my order is fine, and that it's shipping from the USA, not China. But I always take what CSRs tell me with a grain of salt.
 
I've been in the "preparing for shipment" for days now - a quick check with UPS via reference shows my iPhone 4s already in Alaska and on the way.
 
hmm...my pending charge on my CC from apple isn't there anymore and my status is still processing. wonder if its time to start worrying
 
Finally status Shipped

Email received this morning for white 32Gb, it's in Louisville now.

Obviously a delay in status updates.
 
For what it's worth...

I had to reorder my phone, as there was some glitch with AT&T concerning the order I made in the early morning hours. Here is my progress, and I hope this helps anyone suffering from tracking anxiety on the east coast. :)

As of noon, 16GB white AT&T ordered from Apple 5:30pm Friday and shipping to Atlanta. Apple status says preparing for shipment, and UPS now has tracking info (origin scan) updated for Shenzhen. Status is listed as on-time and delivering by EOD Friday. Charge to my checking account (which appeared Saturday) is still listed as processing at the bank. My shipping info on Apple was listed as "postal mix."
 
Got a ship confirmation from apple this morning at 4am. Ordered a black 16gb on Friday launch at 9am. UPS sched. for Friday end of day.
 
Phoned Apple again today as I'm concerned that nothing has changed on my order for five days now. My order status no longer says "Delivers Oct 14 via Expedited Shipping" - it now says "Delivers Oct 14 via". So I guess they're just going to "wish" it here. ;)
 
I have been at perparing for shipment since I ordered the phone and my status is still there and I also tried my phone # on the UPS page and nothing. However, I tried my order # without the last two digits like someone suggested on this board and BAM there were my orders....both shipped from China and are enroute for delivery on the 14th.....:D
 
Anyone get their shipment in yet? Just curious as arstechnica reported some getting theirs here in the US today.
 
Mine too is still "In Process". Maybe they'll just have it sent over from the Apple store via bike messenger. :rolleyes:

Not worried. By Friday afternoon I'll be holding a shiny new phone. :cool:
 
I literally got the shipment update while I was standing in the Apple store today.

Logging into Apple.com now shows "SHIPPED".

I have been tracking it on UPS since this AM though.
 
Aloha everybody,

I posted this in the AT&T forum as I didn't notice this one until later :eek: Anyway, when I checked this morning, I found that my iPhone has finally shipped as well. I ordered a white 64GB model and live in Hawaii, so I'm hoping that it comes straight here from Hong Kong, but I'll know by Friday.

When I checked the UPS tracking page, I was surprised to find out that I had ordered "World Ease", however. I thought it was an iPhone 4S :eek: I've attached a screenshot from the tracking page. Has anyone else seen that description from UPS?
