I had hoped to see a status change since I received an email regarding my credit card being denied.

Apparently, restoring my iPhone changed my Apple Pay token and therefor the CC was decided. Updated info hours ago.

I hate to tell you all this but it doesn't matter when they charged your card.You are not going to get your new iPhone until the 25th . I ordered my new iPhone at 2:00pm on September 17th "that's today"and my card has a pending charge on it. If Apple is right I to will get it on the 25th.
But I can't wait for it to say your phone has shipped. lol

I'm quite sure we all know that we won't get phones before the 25th. It's a build-up which makes the whole process that much more enjoyable. Debby Downer!!!!! Negative Nancy!!!!

True, but Apple only charges when it comes time to actually prepare for shipment so those with a 9/25 date and a charge aren't looking at delays (in all likelihood), so it's really just happy news

Same here, the charge was showing as pending on my Amex until today...Weird that it's completely gone.

Exact same as mine..called Amex and Apple both could not answer why

My iPhone was replaced under warranty after I used Apple Pay on it last Saturday morning. It is a similar situation to you. I wonder if it will not go through either?

On the other hand, the other phone I ordered, not mine so less excited about it, was charged by Paypal today.

i had it happen when ordering my watch and my shipping date did not slip, but i was pretty quick at correcting the issue.

Tax got charged on my account. My order status on apples webpage got fixed too. It used to show the full price of the phone, but now it just shows tax

I called my credit union this afternoon because 2 years ago when I ordered the iPhone 5, I found out that they block orders from apple.com automatically out of concerns for fraud. You have to let them know to allow it. Soooooo I called today just to make sure there would not be any snags and they could find nothing about a pending charge for the $70 sales tax I'll have to pay. I assumed it was charged already because on the website it said they have to collect it at order.

Keep in mind I didn't order until 9/15 so I don't think I'll see any change before next week (fingers crossed for earlier than 10/13) but I expected at least a ping on my account. Great mystery, I suppose.

I was charged for the tax, which I believe was something like $61.64. I'm in FL.
