My son's school is closed on 9/25 because The Pope's US visit hits NYC. So I'm quite happy that I "need" to take the day off from work as I can spend the day with the boy and have the added bonus of getting my hands on the phone the moment it arrives.

On the flip side however, the whole city is a mess of closed roads and diverted traffic. Hopefully deliveries that day aren't affected. My neighborhood isn't one of those closed to traffic the whole day, but it's nearby to quite a few of them.

For those in Philly and NYC, UPS -- if they are indeed the ones shipping your phone -- already has a warning that service will be interrupted on the 25th.

Ordered my phone at 3am on 9/12 and today 9/17 my account now shows the charge pending. Can't wait. I have the iPhone 6 but I feel more excited for the 6s than I did the 6. The 6s is what I wanted the 6 to be. RAM upgrade and camera upgrade. Then the added features like 3D Touch and Live Photos which I'm looking forward too :D

64GB Space Gray 6s unlocked if anyone was wondering.

No charge yet for me. :(

I ordered at 9/12 12:03a (pacific), via the Apple Store App and Amex, 128GB SG 6S+. This isn't my first rodeo (heck, I've been in on launch day for every iPhone since the original), so I'm not worried (yet).

Is ATT shipping UPS or FEDEX??? Does anybody know,

I pre ordered here in the UK a 64GB Space Gray iPhone 6S, at 08:07 on the 12th (pre orders opened at 08:01).

The money is still in my bank, although it's not showing as available to me, so I'm assuming it's pending. I got a call from bank yesterday to confirm it wasn't a fraudulent transaction. I was worried this would cause a delay but it still says "delivery by 25/09".

The order page says "preparing for despatch", although there's nothing on my Apple Support Profile about a 6S yet.

My zip code is nowhere near those in NYC!

My card has a pending charge from the Apple store for my new iPhone 6S Plus. I pre-ordered at 12:08 am and got an iPhone 6S Plus Space Gray 128GB. It's freaking HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!! zOMG!!!!!!!

I have a box from the 6 from ATT and it is a FEDEX box.

This isn't a carrier specific lockout on the cities listed. It is government shutdown of the roads and access points which will affect ALL traffic.

It's likely fedex will do the same thing as ups but maybe they have a different plan that doesn't involve staying out of entire zip codes.

I pre-ordered September 13th, iPhone 6s 64gb silver. I haven't been charged yet :( pre-order still showing delivery for September 25th.

Preordered at 3:10am EST on apple.com, 6S 64gb Verizon rose gold, and I have a charge pending on my credit card.

I don't think most of us will see movement till Monday (preparing to ship). And then it will ship like Wednesday (maybe Thursday). And Most of us will get our phones on Friday. But don't get so worried. You Will get your phone when you get it. Remember it's just a phone.
