Alaska where import/export papers are checked before entering into the mainland. Then to the UPS hubs where they wait.

Sorry to rain on your parade but this is 2015, and Apple is a very trusted shipper with UPS and FedEx... there's nobody sitting at a desk in Anchorage thumbing through import\export paperwork for these. It's all pre-cleared in air electronically... has been for known-shippers like Apple for YEARS now.

Well that is funny as I remember mine going through the import process in Alaska just a year ago. So get you umbrella out!:p

My cat ate your little brother.

You may want to educate yourself on the process...

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/bussol/browse/paperless_invoice.html?WT.mc_id=VAN700366

If yours was held up by process it's likely either you the recipient were flagged, or there was some issue with the shipment. The reality is 99% of all goods coming into the US on a plane never see a customs agent or get anything except electronic clearance.

I am sure it IS all electronic but the shipment still has to go though the import process even as small as it maybe. I remember seeing it on my UPS tracking that it was waiting for import while in Alaska.

My orders still says processing, delivery 9/25. Ordered 2 on 9/12 3:06am confirmation emails. 1 was with at&t the other was GSM both 64gig space black 6s.

You may have gotten caught in a random check. UPS normally declares its cargo as imported in Louisville.

Well sometime last night my phone showed up in my support profile and I now have the shipping info from ups. iPhone 6s space Grey 64gb att. Ordered Apple.com around 12:45 est 09/12/15

I'm not sure of this, but I'm having a sneaking suspicion that nothing is going to be getting on a plane until at least Wednesday. They'll sit in warehouses in China until then.

We need some volunteer "coast watchers" like the Australians used in WW2 to scan the sky for cargo planes coming into our west coast.

No. They're shipping from China today. They will sit in Louisville until Thursday.

In the chipmunk website, my iPhone 6s plus' capacity shows up as 128GB even though I ordered a 64GB version. Did this happen to anyone else?

So, if my phone is in Hong Kong right now, and the flight tracker webpage shows a flight from HK to Alaska leaving at 7:37pm HKT, that must be the flight my phone is on, right? There are no other plans on the flight tracker leaving from HK today. Is this a safe assumption?

They rely on people to tell them what the characters that make up the model number mean. Those are the last four characters in the code. If someone told them wrong, then it will tell you wrong. GRXW is a Space Gray 64GB 6s AT&T Model, and because I told them that (at the bottom of the page), they can now tell everybody else who comes in with GRXW that they're getting a Space Gray 64GB 6s AT&T model. What's your four letter code?

If you mean UPS flight 63, it just took off, so unless you have a departure scan, it probably isn't on that plane. There could be more planes from Hong Kong, they just show up on the flightaware departure board when UPS declares they are making a flight, which is usually a few hours in advance of the flight.
