Order status on apple.com. It shows my as being on hold. If I check the status on the apple store app it doesn't show that. It shows shipped. Weird.

UPS mychoice still shows delivery tomorrow. i'm fairly confident they'll make it. i usually see a lot of activity the night before...like it'll make it to Kentucky around 3 AM and to my local hub at 9 am. UPS runs a tight ship.
My Max is, theoretically, in Incheon. Not on hold. In fact, just got a notification from the UPS app that it will be delivered tomorrow.

I honesty think they don’t know and just told to say that. No one who has a scan in US is on hold probably. I think Apple is being preemptive that any of us not into the US yet may not make it by Friday delivery.
My XS has departed HK finally in route to AK. My status on the Apple website now says shipped and will be delivered tomorrow. I updated the delivery to a UPS CC but haven’t see that change on the tracking yet. Most likely on the import scan it will update.
Just looked mine up and I had the same as you , except my production week was 33 (August)
“This package was just released from customs and is just now starting its journey. You should see scans starting to come in today to show you the movement of your package. Their is no delays on the package and it is still set to delivery tomorrow.”
