Apple.com pre-orders: Who's stuck in "Preparing for Shipment"

Shipment Status

Ok, i'm totally lost, this is my first time on this site and ordering an iPhone.

I pre-ordered 2 iPhones 4S, a Black 32GB and a White 16GB at the AT&T store at 9:00 AM 10/7/11.

When I check the order status site on AT&T is states for both, "In Progress" and "Pending Shipment", it also states order numbers 64 and 69.

What does this mean, will I get my phones Friday 10/14 and by what delivery UPS or FedEx.

You should get it on the 14th. Check the stickied AT&T thread above this one.

Apparently both, but I've only see people talking about UPS

Of those who's phones are still in "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple.com and the UPS trick doesn't work- Where abouts are you located?

This is my problem, But I am in Los Angeles... Perhaps it's possible there is a stock of them in California for some of the west coast... Not needing to physically ship until probably the day before

So,

I ordered from Apple at like 6am EST Friday, shipping to NJ, and it still says preparing for shipment on the Apple site. However, I searched it on UPS and both the phones I ordered are now in Alaska, scheduled for on time delivery Friday.

same problem

Perhaps our phones are shipping from within cali-- not needing to go out until much later in the week?

In Tennessee and my 64GB Black is still Preparing for Shipment while my 64GB White is already in Louisville, KY. Both were ordered 10 minutes apart around 5:30am on the 7th... UPS track by ref. trick not working for either.
 
I'm in Pa and ordered 3 hours after they were available for pre order. Still preparing for shipment and can't find anything on UPS or FedEx :(

SF here and same thing, apple says preparing for shipment and UPS/fedex trick don't work. Anyone who got orders cancelled, was it ever cancelled after going to "preparing for shipment" or do the cancellations always happen while processing? I'm starting to get a little worried.

A couple people yesterday were in 'preparing for shipment' and had their orders cancelled. I'm not worried about it though. My order shipped from China on the Wednesday last year and was delivered the next day
 
Mine was stuck in "preparing for shipment" until an hour and a half ago; it seemed pretty quick after it got to Anchorage that Apple sent me the "congrats, your phone has shipped" email.
 
I ordered on the 7th and still stuck in "Preparing for Shipment" status. I've tried the UPS/Fedex tracking but still no luck, zilch, zero, nada. :mad:

I live in Northwest Indiana and I hope I can get my shiny brand spankin' new iPhone 4S before I leave for St. Louis in the late afternoon on the 14th to attend a family gathering the next day.

64GB black ordered on Friday around 7am EST Friday. No tracking yet. Not worried but I've almost given up hope of a possible early Thursday delivery.

I'm in Washington DC and I have the same problem. Ordered early in the AM on Friday and it's still "preparing for shipment". We'll see what happens.
 
I also live in PA and ordered around 6:30 AM EDT. My order has been in prepared for shipment since Sunday. I have tried over and over on both FedEX and UPS with no luck. I just want to receive it on Friday. The wait is killing me. I'm hoping its just shipping from the east coast and thats why it doesn't have a label yet.
